I want to preface that my boy is awesome. Super sweet (typically) and happy. Lately since he figured out “no” by head nodding side to side, he’s been so emotional. At first I was unsure if he understood the concept but I’m fairly certain he does. We mostly practice with no and boundaries with eating. I’ll ask him if he wants more and he will shake his head no if he’s done. I’ll try once or twice more to be sure but usually by the third time he will slap the food out of my hands haha. He knows different food names and the word ‘spicy.’ Anyways he’s been using the head nod for other things that I believe he doesn’t want to do. He will also start aggressively shaking his head if he knows we are about to do things he doesn’t like like getting into the car seat if he’s already grumpy or putting on a new shirt or diaper change. Because I try to give him autonomy when I can I believe he’s trying to say no to get out of these situations.
Anyways ever since really figuring out communicating no, he’s been having these little mini tantrums. Doesn’t last long at all but he gets frustrated and tries to bite me 😭. He was head banging a bit when you’d stop him from getting into something or take something away last month. Now it’s mostly just trying to find a limb or a finger to sink his teeth into. Where did my sweet boy gooo! I figured this would be begin developing around 12 months or later into their first year. I’m a little blindsided and while I understand everyone has their own pace of development, I was wondering if any of you have had babies starting this phase before their 12th month and if you have any advice. Would this be considered normal development? Would you consider light aggression this early normal? I know toddler boys go through a sort of increased testosterone phase in early development that can make them a little crazy but Im ignorant to any information that it also effects babies this young.
Also I’m unsure how best to proceed with the biting… have you had better results just letting them do it and show no emotion/reaction to it? Or should I be stern about saying something along the lines of “I know you’re frustrated at me but you cannot bite me” while moving him or myself?
I figured I’d have more time to read more books on physical and mental development of babies into toddlers and beyond - before we got to this stage haha.
I’m not terribly concerned or worried… just a little caught off guard and figured I’d ask the other parents of reddit as this is my first!

i’ll try to keep this brief:
At least 4 years ago, was on my phone, felt movement in my jaw area when my double chin came out, felt around, felt a couple of nodes. didn’t think much of it since i got recurrent strep as a kid.
fast forward, saw people say chronic swollen nodes could be cancer. this really scared me only because i have been experiencing a mysterious decline in my health despite countless normal test results.
(main symptom: I’m so tired all of the time. i feel like i’m floating from how tired i am. I feel sick, dizzy, lightheaded, and so incredibly tired all of the time to no end and with no relief.)
so i got an ultrasound about a year ago, all nodes were structurally normal, a couple were 2 cm, but other then that normal. No notable changes from what i can tell, i have new ones <1 cm on either side of my lower neck, but i’m guessing that’s normal.
I’ve also gotten a fine needle biopsy/flow, but my doctor couldn’t properly access the swollen nodes so the sample was taken from a normal node nearby, to which the results were negative for malignancy.
I’m seeing my doctor in 2 months for a follow up, but every time i think my anxiety for these nodes have come to an end, the unrelenting fatigue i experience with no answers makes me spiral all over again.
So i guess the answer to this question might help ease my worries or make me pursue further investigation.
While the fatigue is so intense and persistent that i wouldn’t be surprised if it was low grade cancer, would i be in much worse shape by now if it was? would my blood tests, biopsy, or physical symptoms be much more indicative of it? instances i’ve seen of young people with slow growing cancer makes me think i could be one of those unlucky ones

Hey all,
I'm graduating from college next spring, (Finance & Real Estate) and currently working an internship in real estate appraisal for some experience. I plan on moving to Charleston in Aug. 2024 and have wanted to become a realtor for 6+ years now.
My question for you all is, should I work on getting my license in my home state this summefall before I move to try to get experience before I move? I don't see much point in all that work if I'm moving next summer but also worried about moving with no job or experience as a realtor, especially as I know it could be difficult to get started.
One possible idea is that I could continue working at my current internship (they have offices in Charleston), and then work toward my license so I'm not digging into savings (which won't get me too far ATM) until I finally start making money.
I'm a bit torn, so If anyone could provide some advice, or if you've been in a similar situation, that would be much appreciated.

My boyfriend (22M) and I (22F)have been dating for four months; we knew each other through mutual friends for about two years, and began getting close about a year ago. Lately, he's been significantly more distant, and it's been consistent. To put it into perspective, he usually compliments me several times a day, and when i compliment him he recieves it very well. But lately he just redirects the conversation and doesn't even say thank you, and also doesn't compliment me at all. He also just responds super dryly. I usually say something like "good morning, i hope you slept well and have a good day :) love you" before he goes to work, and he would respond in a similar manner but now he just says "you too". When we used to call, he always seemed happy and excited to talk to me, but now he barely even talks; it seems like he doesn't even want to be there. We only see each other once every week or two because of distance, so we rely on texting and calling a lot, which is why it frustrates me that this is happening. In person though, he is perfectly affectionate and doesn't act any different, so it confuses me. I've considered that he may be going through something, so I tried talking about it but he said he's fine. I've told him that it makes me worried and he says that he doesn't realize he is acting any different, but it is such a massive difference between how it is now to literally just a week ago. It feels a little soon for "the honeymoon phase" to end, so I'm just wondering if I'm overreacting, especially if he says everything is okay. I'm worried i will drive him away if I constantly pester him about this so I'm not sure how to proceed. Has anyone dealt with this before? What are some reasons you guys have been distant from significant others, other than not liking them anymore (im trying not to overthink, lol)?
TL;DR: boyfriend is being drastically different recently, but he says he is fine and i'm not sure what to do

I'm in my early 20s, I went to a nice college with a full ride but 3 years in I became severely depressed and aimless because I did not want to continue studying medicine, so I felt lost. I wanted to seek help but at the time my single mom wouldn't let me go to the doctor because she thinks antidepressants are evil, along with every other kind of pharmaceutical drug. She'd threaten me with kicking me out of the house if I went to seek help from a doctor. To make it worse, she would tell me I was not depressed and that I was just sad, and I needed to get over it.
During that time every day was a question of survival for me because of how bad my depression was. At the same time, I was always happy when I'd go back to college from break because it meant I could get away from her controlling and verbally abusive behavior. My senior year of college it got worse and I turned to weed to cope with these feelings since I couldn't get professional help. I didn't graduate which makes me feel awful in itself, but she says the nastiest things to make me feel like I'm a failure and I'm worthless. She even tells me that I ruined our family because I started smoking weed. I sobered up and cut out all of the things that were holding me back a few months ago. I felt renewed with determination and strength to get my life together and I am still going strong in that respect. I had been working out, running, and I am in the process of getting a job that could pay me pretty well and would possibly allow me to move and finally have my own life apart from her. I start next month, but I don't even know if I'll be able to survive for that long because of how manipulative and verbally abusive she is. It affects me so deeply even though I know everything she says is wrong.
My mom struggles with her self worth since my dad cheated on her and left, but because of that she tears me down daily and calls me a druggie even though I have been clean for months and I think she knows that. One time she even said she only says these things because she gets angry. Every time I hear the word druggie it cuts me like a butcher knife. It hurts because she is only using my past to attack me now and she pretends I am still that way. I am waiting for this job so I can save enough money to live on my own, but this daily harassment is so much for me to deal with, it truly makes me not want to live anymore.
What makes it worse is that I hated my dad for the things he did, and I deeply love my mom. When he first walked out when I was 16, I was working non-stop to help pay our bills. Even now we are relatively poor, almost living paycheck to paycheck. I tried sitting down with her recently and telling her that she's hurting me with her words and that I want to have a good relationship with her like before, but truthfully I don't think she cares. I think she likes to have somebody to talk down to because maybe it makes her feel better about her own life.
There's no purpose or anything I want from this post, I just genuinely can't keep this pain inside and I needed to put it somewhere.

I apologize if this gets long. Nearly a year ago I broke up with my ex boyfriend of two years. During the relationship he coerced/SA’d me a multitude of times over the course of the relationship. He would continuously beg to do things even after I expressed disinterest, and when I would address it to him he would deny it and invalidate my feelings. Anyways, what catalyzed the break up was I went to a party, got drunk for the first time, became black out, and had sex with a guy that was a friend of my friends. I don’t remember it happening (the guy told me afterwards which is why I know), and he was previously aware I had a boyfriend and was inexperienced with drinking/being drunk. Naturally, I told my ex about what happened the following night because I felt over whelmed with guilt. He was furious and blamed me at first, but still wanted to work things out. Over the course of a week he would have outbursts of harassing and blaming me, and I tried to be understanding because obviously that’s a tough spot to be in. I tried to reassure him his feelings were valid, but eventually I told him I needed space because it wasn’t healthy for either of us. He would send angry messages at all times of day and night, so eventually I broke up with him because I could no longer handle it. The frequent harassment along with built up resentment from the SA caused me to call it quits. Although it was freeing to do, I had briefly developed an aversion to men because of it. I did therapy, and the fear of men eventually went away. Unfortunately, now I’m back home for the summer which has made me anxious. We’re no contact and I believe he’s moved on, but I have this irrational fear of running into him. I hate that I’m still struggling even though it’s been nearly a year.
