After a very exciting morning visiting the service men and women at Thornbury Barracks in Bradford, I am looking forward to arriving at my next destination. I'm getting there via the exciting rail link from Bradford Forster Square (Platform 2) directly to Leeds station - a quick half an hour journey that will take me straight into the city centre! From there I can get anywhere, and a journey which would have taken me three hours to walk or almost an hour to cycle is cut down to less than half an hour; how amazing is that?
Our railway network is a lifeline for so many thousands of people - indeed probably millions - and to be fair to the Government, transport is one subject that they have been obsessed with over the course of the term (it's a shame it's the only subject that they've been obsessed with though!), so we have seen quite a boost to urban transport in recent years, but as we state in our manifesto, rural communities have been left behind. That is why a Conservative Party Government will invest heavily in more rural transport links such as more train stations, more hopper buses for those communities, and perhaps most importantly as well we will invest heavily into green transport such as electric bikes and land trains in our towns and villages. We will also revitalise our plans for a HS4 in the South West, which the Government shamefully blocked this term!
One thing that you can depend on, if you vote Conservative, is that you will get a Government that supports the whole country and invests in communities regardless of if they are urban or rural - because you will have a government that recognises that a society is built on many different communities and people, which is sadly something that the current government desperately fail at. We can do better than this, but only if you vote for me in West Yorkshire and for a Conservative team!

I'm looking into either a sport car(corvette)/sedan(audi) style look, but I'm not sure where to start.

Also I have realised the hard way, my attachment style is Anxious. Definitely not a green flag lol but I am working on it.
And god no, I don't want to climb no GODDMAN CORPORATE LADDER (ehmm cool down mr. Samuel L Jackson hehe). Looking for someone with whom we can create a safe space for each other to breathe, grow and be nurturing to each other <3.

I have never been much of an active person or traveled much tbh, but I want to change that slowly going forward. I’m a non vegetarian and a social drinker, lately on a hiatus on drinking.
A social drinker is fine for me, but smoking is a deal breaker. Even habit of using any other drugs like weed and others also.
My mother tongue is Kannada and It’s been a decade I’m living in Bangalore. But I do have plans of setting abroad preferably Europe in a couple of years. But the chances of all that happening is not that good I feel but you never know!
Also lately I have been rather melancholic, dabbling between some existential crisis and self esteem/self worth issues. I am in the process of working on them. Decided to attend therapy finally this month after years of giving advice to other people and urging them to go to therapy. Pfff typical INFP 😒 Yet to find a decent therapist to keep it regular.
What I am looking for is a woman who is preferably 24-34 years old. Who is childfree, atheist, liberal, independent and empathetic and at least couple of our interests match and and and super kinky lol! 🙈
So if things click like which I mentioned above, I have qualms marrying. We’d be a couple that’d be corporate work rats, travel, watch artsy stuff, ponder why the fuck we are on this earth and f*ck all the time lol

My favourite movies are pulp fiction, big lebowski ❤️, tarantino movies, all gangsta movies involving de niro and Joe pesci. Current ones I liked are marriage story ,parasite, park chan wook movies, can't remember more but I like my drama more than action. If I'd want you to watch one movie recommended by me, it would be Joint security Area.
Sports: I follow cricket a bit here and there. But yeah right now OBSESSED with Formula1, a hugh checo fan just because of his trajectory and rooting for checo to win the wdc next season. maybe I like some Hamilton and mercedes schadenfreude too lol.
Books: I am not into much into fiction but more into pyschological/self help books. Some of my fav books of the subtle art of not giving a fuck by Mark Manson, six pillars of self esteem by Nathaniel branden, right now reading some books by J Krishnamurti.

Sundays are chill. I wandered out in my supercool new PJs and a silly hat to hang out with neighbours in our nice little outdoor seating area. We had a laugh, cracked a beer, enjoyed the company. We enjoy gardening and making the place look nice and I'm relatively new here so they were showing me about and talking about planty-mc-plantplants, and one of us reached to the centre of the table to rotate a potted plant and...
Yeah. Needle.
Where I live has forty units, an extensive and lush tropical garden out the back, a huge laundry line area that no one uses but most people still manage to almost get decapitated by daily, and... the BBQ area.
The BBQ area is an undercover pavilion style structure with electric BBQs and many fixed metal benches with tables. Pretty much council park stuff, but in nicer condition. The whole structure is up on a very sturdy and thick concrete slab. It's huge.
After seeing the needle on the table my little heart sank. I knew what was waiting for me down in the BBQ area. Between the three of us I was the only one wearing shoes so off I went and yes. The BBQ area was full of rubbish. Wads of toilet paper with shit on them, syringe wrappers, syringes, needles, food packets, total biohazard. A literal biohazard.
I know the rental crisis is real, I know it hurts, but goddamn it pick up your shit you filthy biohazard creating stranger. I'm told that dude comes back every night and isn't there in the day.
Do I... call the police or something? I've been homeless, I get that bit. A safe place to stay is really important. Endangering the people who turn a blind eye to make sure you can stay there, leaving needles around, and so much shitty toilet paper and rubbish... I don't think that's okay.
What say you?

TL;DR Someone's leaving needles and heaps of rubbish in the communal gardens of my apartment block. WAT DO?
Edit: I called policelink. They were cool but advised me that they had no authority in that situation other than checking up on the weirdo in the backyard. Which they will be doing several times tonight. Getting the needles cleaned up is a different matter. Because it's private land the government wants no part of it and says 'contact body corporate' and those cunts of course do not answer their phones on sunday nights. Try again tomorrow, I guess.

Well let’s go back to when I was 10, I guess.
I was a big fan of John Lennon and David Bowie and Elvis Presley.
But I had a condition..
Dexterity/motor skill problem.
I still have it to this day.
my hands are always shaking, And I exhibit the penmanship of a toddler to this day
I found an old guitar in my grandma‘s closet while we stayed with her in Los Banos before we moved to Reno Nevada From San Jose California.
My grandma and grandpa did not know how the guitar even got there in the first place, but they were old and maybe one of them bought it at one time and forgot.
I asked Grandma If could take the guitar.
I think the guitar was called “Aslin Dane. Ariel Pro III…”
This unique strat-style guitar seemed older than the redwoods my family had recently said goodbye to.
That was when I was 10….
We lived a normal life in Reno after that and we all loved the high dessert and mountain air.
I was 14 and now and we were assimilated in northern Nevada.
I had spent four years trying to even play a chord or a note on this mysterious guitar and ground my fingers away on it daily, but my hands were too shaky.
I couldn’t write a song.
I couldn’t do anything.
I prayed to God, even though it was a joke.
I didn’t believe in angels or God or the Bible.
My parents are both atheist my father is a man of science.
I grew up as an atheist I had no religious disposition at the time.
Subsequently, I got into heavy metal, dark hair, dark music and occult Ouija board shit. Not because I believed in anything really, but because I thought it was cool.
I was like: “there’s no god anyways so I might as well just be dark as I can be”.
it was a phase.
It was a fad.
So, arrogantly, I came home one day.
I still could not even pretend to play the guitar and I was angry because I thought I deserved talent.
So…. midnight one night, I decided to take every family album; every picture of myself that I could find in the house, my yearbooks throughout the years. I took these pictures and I drew pentagrams on my forehead and crossed out my eyes.
I then lit some candles and I said: “I know there’s no god, because if there was a god I would be able to play this guitar”
….I swore allegiance to the devil if he would come right now and show himself and make me able to play.
Maybe five minutes after I said this out loud and had lit the candles and did the séance…
Well, i should say that it must’ve been 2004 and there were zero electric vehicles at the time.
Though there weren’t electric vehicles in those days, I would describe what I heard and five minutes later; slowly prowling up to the front of my house, as an electric car.
It sounded like a heavy piece of metal moving with no engine.
Almost like how the Jetsons ship sounds.
And then I immediately started to sweat cold sweat.
The candles were still lit and I swear…across the wall in front of me, I saw an anthropomorphic face… A devilish face, cast a shadow that spread across my closet doors in front of me.
I was like “well at least the car stopped and they went somewhere else” because another five minutes later it was silent.
Just when I thought the coast was clear, I heard the rickety glass screen door being pulled open from our front door. It was an incredibly heavy and loud outer-door… But I didn’t hear the actual wooden front door, or anything like the locking mechanisms, nothing like that. So I thought it was just the wind blew this the heavy glass door wide open, so abruptly.
After five minutes or so, I heard heavy footsteps in the house, spaced between at least 30 or 40 seconds.
They were coming up the stairs to the second floor where my bedroom was.
I used to sneak out and smoke pot with my neighborhood friends, so I knew the spots on the staircase to avoid and it seemed like whatever was coming up there, purposely stepped on the loudest parts of it…like they knew the house as I did.
Another five minutes in silence, I just think that I’m imagining it all, but then….I start hearing footsteps 30 seconds apart.
Heavy footsteps, taunting me, by stepping on the loudest parts of the sub-floor underneath the carpet of the second landing.
I tried to convince myself it was a dream, but I was too alert and conscious of what I was trying to summon.
I could not have slept that night if you paid me $1 million dollars.
I was wide awake and terrified.
So…these footsteps came down through the hallway, to my door and they stopped loudly
I’m thinking to myself “why won’t my dad get up? I want my mom get up.
Nor did my brothers awake nor my sister…aren’t they terrified too?’
10 minutes passed. I didn’t hear anything.
Then just as I was saying “phew” and wiping the sweat from my forehead; I heard three loud knocks; “boom, boom, boom.”
I was like ‘this is not happening right now!’
I tried to get up to turn the candles off and shred the Satanic photos I made of myself, but I’ve never been so afraid and I was unable to move.
“Boom boom boom!’
it was always three knocks… each set louder and louder, until at least 6 or 7 AM.
The next day, of course, I was still awake and only opened the door when I heard my family having breakfast.
I went downstairs and I literally shoved my older brother while he was sitting having eggs and hashbrowns at the table and I accosted him and I said “what the hell man? Why were you banging on my door all night?
He genuinely had no idea what I was talking about.
My dad‘s room was only 5 feet across the hall from where I was, and my sisters room was literally a foot away from my door to the left.
Nobody heard anything and they looked at me like I was crazy.
I felt I was crazy.
I had just stayed up all night listening to this thing pounding like a fireman or policeman at my door and that was when I first genuinely Said a prayer to God.
Two or three weeks later I casually picked up the old creepy guitar that was still in my closet….And I could play.
I mean, oh, boy could I play.
But there was nothing inside of me that was cheerful about this new gift that I was given.
And I always knew from then on out that it was a curse.
Since then, I have become a protégés guitar, bass player and singer.
But every time I write a new song, there is a shadow of my soul standing over me.
I try to think that, since I didn’t open the door for Satan; that God has rewarded me with the gift to play, but I know that my gift is a curse and I may either already be in hell or I am going that way soon.

I need help from people who turn wrenches. Please, if you don’t work on your own bike just move along.
I took the liberty of rebuilding a 1996 BMW K1100RS and I’m having some clutch disc troubles.
Bike is off the road right now because I shredded the clutch disc splines along with the transmission input shaft splines, for the second time in 2000 miles.

Shaft drive, dry clutch. I broke the 1-2 shift fork last year and had trouble removing the swing arm’s aluminum pivots from the gear box and destroyed the gearbox housing in the process.
To avoid rebuilding a questionable gear box I purchased a used one off eBay, threw new seals in, painted the housing, and mounted it up.
Everything was fine for like 1200 miles. But I noticed I had to constantly adjust the clutch. Figured it was seating in and would stop but the failure followed shortly after.
I actually got stuck in the mountains in LA because of it. Had a perfect ride, didn’t feel any vibrations or anything. I was behind a slow truck, went to go around them, and the shaft stripped right then and there. Was stuck in the mountains for 9 hours, really ruined the day lol.
I used all the correct tools and torque specs, including guide dowel pins, except for one step. There’s a specific tightening pattern for the clutch hub nut that I wasn’t aware of.
I was supposed to tighten to 150nM, loosen all the way, then retighten to 100nM. I just did the first step. Behind the hub nut is a self centering bushing.
I noticed I could pull the engine output shaft back and forth a bit, not sure if that is bad I can’t find any info online. I didn’t notice any obvious runout with my eyeballs but I’m aware humans can’t measure with eyeballs.
Anyway, I pulled the whole bike apart again and re did the work, still without knowledge of that step. I replaced the clutch disc and the transmission input shaft when I did it. While the gear box was open I took the liberty of checking the bearings for runout and didn’t see anything out of spec. Shifted through the gears before I closed it up. Haynes manual open the whole time, 10 hours of hard work, you know the deal.
That was 5 months ago, and it stripped again last week. I can’t figure out exactly why. Same thing with the clutch needing constant adjustment before it failed, but this time I was adjusting at the clutch side instead of the handlebars. Same failure.
Both times I could hear some metallic vibrating before the failure, but couldn’t feel anything. Only while holding in the clutch and sitting still.
I can only assume it was the transmission shaft with too much play inside the clutch hub, right before it stripped for good. Almost sounded like loose roller pins on floating brake rotors.
These were both organic clutch discs, I paid around $100 each.
Could the hub splines on them just be trash? Axial misalignment? Not enough lube on the splines? I used a pretty good amount of Kluber Starburaugs
Should I not be holding the clutch in at long lights? I know it’s good practice but I’m not out here afraid of my shadow or anything…like I’m cool to put it in neutral if it means less wear on components.
I’m not sure if my riding style has something to do with it. I keep the revs decently high because the bike doesn’t like to get lugged, but I’m worried I might be too aggressive in general while riding it.
Sometimes I red line first gear into second, but I have a habit of putting a finger behind the clutch lever. Could I be dragging the clutch and not realizing?
The engines runs great, it almost seems like I can overpower the drivetrain components very easily by way of downshifting, or hard take offs.
I did a powerwheelie pulling off from a red light a few weeks before it failed, tons of bite and no problem at the time. Didn’t even mean to do it honestly, I very rarely pop the clutch. Starting to think maybe I’m riding the clutch too much maybe ?
Whenever I’m on it at night, people with modified cars want to race and I was roll racing quite a bit around Christmas time. I like riding fast. People mostly race street bikes here but idk, maybe I’m asking too much of the machine and breaking shit.
The bike looks amazing but maybe it’s a showpiece thing more than a performance thing. But I’m confused because people race them, with turbos and fuel controllers, how am I stressing it out?
I love the bike but can’t keep spinning these shafts and burning through clutch discs obviously.
I ordered a sintered 4 paddle race clutch disc along with a good used shaft, new centering spacer, new hub nut, and some other smalls, so I’m going to give it another go. Hoping third time is the charm.
Wanted to send this out into the world and see if anyone has heard of this before.
I’m going to check the runout on the main output shaft bearing, clutch hub, and ensure the pressure plate mounting points are dead flat, if not a new housing will get ordered.
This was a complete frame off, nut and bolt restoration and modification. I don’t know how to post photos here but it gets a lot of looks, and runs amazingly.
It’s purpose built for the Los Angeles landscape, I’m not too shy driving it to say the least.
Bike is a blast to ride but maybe I’m getting too excited? Do I really have to drive like a grandpa on this? am I being too rough?
TLDR: stripped clutch hub and associated spline shaft twice in less than 2000 miles. Why?

Hey guys so I wanted a guitar with nylon strings because it feels better to play than steel strings, so I bought a $900 taylor classical guitar. I ran into an issue however, It doesn't fit my playstyle very well. I like music like polyphia a lot, and I recently found out about Tim Henson's Signiture Guitar, which is a nylon stringed guitar (exactly what im looking for) but in the body shape of an electric (which is exactly what I want) My issue is I already have an electric guitar, so by having an electric and classical I can play different styles of music easier, however I was thinking about trading my classical for Tim's guitar because I'm not willing to spend more money for another guitar atm. Do you think it's worth it to trade my $900 guitar for a $700 guitar, or at least attempt to. Any thoughts about this would be nice, thanks.
