1. Rati Gali Lake
First of all, remove the confusion of the name Rati Gali. Until 2010, the local name of Rati Gali was Darian Saryan Sar. Sar(sar) is locally referred to as a Lake or a natural body of water. Officially in 2010 and a local Sufi saint, Mian Barkatullah Sarkar, whose Astana is known as Barkatiya. Due to the recognition and respect of his religious services, the Lake and the road leading to it were named after him and the Lake was named Rati Gali Barkatiya Lake, which also has a formal government notification. Rati Gali Lake is an alpine glacial Lake located in the Neelum Valley, meaning its source of water is the glaciers in the area.
This Lake is accessible from Duariyan on Wadi Neelam Road at a distance of about 75 km from the southern side of Muzaffarabad. Which leads to the base camp after a 16 km jeep track from Dwarian. The Lake can be reached after an hour-easy trek from the base camp. This Lake is located at an altitude of 12130 feet or 3700 meters above sea level. It is a popular tourist spot in the area where all the facilities are available. There is a large camping site at the base camp where tents and food, electricity, and Wi-Fi are available at affordable prices and for horse riding enthusiasts there is a horse-riding facility to reach the Lake. Remember that this Lake is the biggest Lake in the region. Around which there are twenty-six other small and big Lakes. Also, four waterfalls are formed from the water of this Lake.
2. Rati Gali Small
This Lake is called Saryan Sir, at a walking distance of 10-15 minutes from Rati Gali Base Camp. There are many water reservoirs/reservoirs in this place which are called Sar in the local language. Accordingly, this place is called Saryan Sar. The place has a waterfall and local dhoks and dhares where locals stay during summer.
3. Hans Raj Lake
This Lake is also located in the Neelum Valley of Azad Kashmir. Originally, the local name of this Lake was Rata Sar and the reason for its fame is the red-colored mountains around it. Also, there is Lal Buti peak in this area which has been used in geographical surveys during British rule. There are three La Buti Peaks in this area, one is at Rati Gali, the second is at Sargan and the third is at Keil. The reason for the name Hans Raj is the fame of Pakistan's greatest travel writer and tourist Sir Mustansar Hussain Tarar, when he came to this Lake, he described the pieces of floating glacier in it as similar to the floating Hans Raj. And it was written by Hans Raj and this Lake became famous as Hans Raj Lake since then this Lake is called Hans Raj Lake. Rati Gili Lake is located at a distance of about one and a half to two hours from the base camp, between Rati Gili and Noori Top, on the Rati Gili Pass at an altitude of about 3900 meters. On the other hand, the famous Dudipat Sar of Kaghan Valley can also be tracked through Saral Lake. In winter, this Lake is also covered with snow like other Lakes of Neelum Valley.
4. Kala Sar Lake
There are three Lakes in the Neelum Valley known as Kala Sar 1, Kala Sar 2, and Kala Sar 3. Kala Sar 1 is an hour's walk from Hansraj Lake, Kala Sar 2 is another hour's trek, and Kala Sar 3 has to trek a little higher. You can also get a view of Ghatian Lake from Kala Sir 3 provided you take the guidance of a local guide. For the night you will have to come back to Rati Gali base camp or private camping but even for that local guides can guide you better.
5. Ghatian Lake
Rati Gali is located at a distance of about four hours from the base camp. This track goes from Rati Gali to Ghatian Lake via Hans Raj / Kala Sar Lake. That is, with proper planning and strategy, these three Lakes can be easily tackled in a single tour. You can easily get a view of Ghatian Lake from Kala Sar, while you can also get a view of Ghatian and Nanga Parbat from the top of the mountain behind Rati Gali. While at the end of Noori Top, trek along the bridge or canal coming from Sharda or Sargan, that route will take you to Ghatian Lake after four to five hours of trek. There are also three Lakes named Ghatian. Which are identified as Ghatian 1, 2, 3. For 1, and 2, the view is clear, while for the third, one has to hike up to some height. Its local name is Donga Sir or Donga Nad.
6. Saral Lake
This Lake is also a part of Neelum Valley which is 13600 feet or 4100 meters above sea level. Several routes are used to reach here. The first route leads to Basil and Dudipat Sir and from there to Saral. This route is less used and most of those coming from this route return from Saral View Point. Because of that, you have to descend once and then go uphill to reach the Lake. The second route comes from Jalkhed, Noori Top via Mian Sahib Road to Saral, where it joins the Dudipat head track. The third route is on Noori Top with a stream coming from the front on the Kashmir side, horses are also available for this and the trek is also done on foot. The fourth route follows Gumot Nala and it will take you to Saral Lake. Gumot Nala is mainly coming from Saral.
7. Moon Lake
The route to Moon Lake also goes through Saral Lake. There is a trek to the left of Saral which can be done in one day along with Saral. Do it with a local guide. You can also reach here from the back side of Gumot and Jabba.
8. Ram Chakor / Char wali Lake
This Lake is also located in Saral Valley at a distance of four to five hours. In 2019, a team of local guides discovered five Lake tracks, this Lake being one of them. Due to the abundance of Ram Chakor (bird), it is also called Ram Chakor Lake while the local name is Phirardnad. Phirar is also called Chakor in the local language. It can also be reached here via Gumot, Jabba Back, and Sargan.
9. Mulanwali Lake
Mulan Wali Lake, also called Mulan Wali Nad, is also located near Moon Lake and Ram Chakor Lake.
Note: Moon Lake, Ram Chakor Lake, and Mulanwali Lake can also be done together which will include a night camp and can be easily done with a local guide to avoid any trouble.
10. Butkanali Lake
After the vehicle journey from Jagran to Shall, a 7–8-hour walking trek rises above a place called Dhok Kundi and leads to Dhok but Kunali, from where the path to Mulanwali Lake becomes a walking track of about one and a half kilometers.
11. Shounter Lake
This Lake is located in Shounter Valley Neelam Azad Kashmir, this Lake is located at an altitude of 3100 meters or 10200 feet above sea level. This Lake is located at the foot of the snow-capped mountains and the source of the waters of this Lake is also the glaciers between these mountains. This Lake is also called Spoon Lake, the reason for the name is its spoon-like shape, and it can be easily reached by jeep from Keel. There is this Lake along with Shounter waterfall where the road ends. It is also locally called Bitar Lake.
12. Chitta Katha Lake
This Lake is also located in Shounter Valley. Located at an altitude of 13500 feet or 4100 meters, this is a beautiful Lake, the approach to which is fascinating as well as difficult. From the base camp, two stops named Dick One and Two add to its charm. A 20 km jeep trek from Kiel takes you to a village called Huz Neelam, its base camp, which used to be the base camp of Chitta Katha. After which a 5 km but steep uphill path leads to this Lake. Generally, the locals can come and go in ten to twelve hours, while the tourists also spend twelve hours one way. It is better to do from Base Camp to Dak 2 in one day, next day go from Dak 2 to Lake and return according to your convenience and time. One of the reasons for the fame of Chitta Katha Sar is the captivating view of Hari Parbat. Moreover, no one has been able to summit this peak till now. It is the third highest peak in the region, first being Sirwali, second being Toshira Wang, the range, and third being Hari Parbat. There is also a Lake named Chitta Katha 2 in the valley below. Further, Linda Sir 1,2 at a distance of one to two hours, Panj Khatian, and some lesser-known unnamed Lakes are also present in this area.
13. Chitta Katha 2
Just below Hari Parbat, a one to one and a half hour walk to the left leads to Chitta Katha 2.
14. Banjusa Lake
Banjusa Lake is an artificial Lake located in the Poonch district at a distance of 18 km from Rawalakot. It is a popular tourist destination and is easily accessible to every tourist. It is located in a dense forest. There are also several rest houses. Kilometer long, kilometer wide, and 52 meters deep, this Lake is located at an altitude of 1981 meters or 6499 feet.
15. Baghsar Lake
The Lake is located near Baghsar Fort near the Line of Control in Wadi Samahni, Bhimber. This fort has been under the rule of the Mughals and has a wonderful historical status. This Lake is 975 meters above sea level and has a length of about half a kilometer. This Lake is famous for its winter migratory birds and its lotus flowers. Another reason for the fame of this Lake is that its shape is somewhat similar to the map of Pakistan. This area is full of cherry trees and blooming water lilies.
16. Subri Lake / Langarpura Lake
Subri Lake or Langarpura Lake is located at a distance of about 10 km in the southeast direction of Muzaffarabad. This Lake is located at the exact place where the river Jhelum widens. The Lake is easily accessible via the Muzaffarabad-Chakothi Road.
17. Lake Zalzal
This Lake came into being as a result of the earthquake of 8 October 2005 when two mountains merged and four villages of Bhatsher, Lodhi Abad, Kurla, and Padr were obliterated and the natural passage of water was blocked. This Lake is located between Chikar and Bani Hafiz. The Lake is 3.5 km long, and 350 feet deep. It is located at an altitude of 1828 meters above sea level. The Lake can be easily visited on the way to Ganga Choti / Sidhan Gully or while staying at Chikar Guest House. There is also a Rest House of the Tourism Department near this Lake.
18. Patlian Lake
The path of this Lake goes through Luvat Nallah. You can reach here after a 3-hour jeep drive and a half-an-hour trek from Dwarian. There are three, or four big and small Lakes and innumerable waterfalls in its vicinity, among which Jhag Chamber and Kunali Waterfalls are famous. At a distance of one and a half hours from Main Patlian Lake, a Lake is also named Patlian Two.
19. Mai Narada Lake
This Lake is a sacred place for Hindus and is their place of worship. This Lake can be reached after a two-to-three-day trek from Sharda. This Lake is located at an altitude of about 14000 feet.
20. Noori Lake
This Lake is located on Noori Top and its sign is that there is a huge waterfall in front of it.
21. Khargam Lake
This Lake is located behind Rati Gali. Khargam Lake is above the crack that is visible in the mountain behind Rati Gali. It is a relatively difficult and rugged rocky trail suitable only for professional trekkers and hikers.
22. Dick Lake
Dick Lake trek starts from Janui. Similar to the Chitta Katha Lake trek, this trek is about 8-9 hours of walking on one side. Take camping equipment with you. There are no campsites in this area. Apart from this, the Lakes of Gujarnad and Shakargarh are still unexplored.
There are also 11 Lakes in Gal Valley which flow into Neelum Valley. Apart from this, the beautiful areas of Sunder Nikka, Hola Back and Kala Jinder also have many Lakes and waterfalls. July to October is the season to visit these Lakes, after which more or less the majority of the areas are covered with snow. Their length, width, or depth has not yet been measured by any authentic means, the founders of most glacial Lakes are more or less frequent. Don't risk swimming in all these Lakes. Also, for camping it is necessary to have proper guidance and a local guide. Red candlesticks were used for geographical surveying during the British rule, traces of which still remain. In the area, there are three Lal Buti Peaks in Rati Gali, Sargan, and Keel area, besides Dak Bangla Rati Gali Mohri and Gora Cemetery Rati Gali which were the residence and burial grounds of British soldiers/officers during that time. Kishan Ghati Cave located in Sharda is said to be around 5000 years old and was used as a place of worship for Buddhists and Hindus.
There are some new discoveries in these Lakes or regular treks up to them are chosen.

Few things scream "family bonding" like getting kidnapped by the Russian mob. In Sony's upcoming feature The Machine (2023), that's exactly what happens (more or less). Based on the viral story from comedian Bert Kreischer, The Machine chronicles his drunken trip to Russia during college. Twenty years later, that trip catches up to him when he and his estranged father Albert (Mark Hamill) are kidnapped due to something Bert allegedly did. So, caught in a battle with the crime family, Bert and his father retrace young Bert's (Jimmy Tatro) steps, all while attempting to work on their relationship with each other. The Machine was written by Kevin Biegel (Cougar Town) and Scotty Landes (Ma), with Peter Atencio (Key and Peele) as the director. Bert Kreischer and his wife LeeAnn Kreischer produced the feature with Atencio, Judi Marmel, and Cale Boyter. It was executive produced by Jay Ashenfelter and Philip Waley. Alongside Bert Kreischer, Tatro, and Hamill, The Machine stars Iva Babič, Stephanie Kurtzuba, Jess Gabor, Martyn Ford, Mercedes De La Cruz, Robert Maaser, and Amelie Child Villiers.
If you're planning to live vicariously through Bert Kreischer and his Russian adventures, we've compiled all current information on The Machine's theatrical release date and showtimes, streaming debut, DVD release, and more. Other movies playing in theaters during the same time frame include Fast X, Book Club: The Next Chapter, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, among.

Otherwise, you’ll just have to wait for it to become available to rent or purchase on digital platforms like Amazon, Vudu, YouTube and Apple, or become available to stream on Netflix.
However, it will be available to stream on the Peacock platform soon. Netflix typically follows a 90-day period before its theatrical releases come to the streaming platform. That means we may see the live-action version of "The Machine" come to Netflix as early as August 2023.

Will The Machine Head to Streaming?

Currently, there is no projected streaming date for The Machine. However, it's likely the movie will ultimately land on Netflix following its theatrical run, thanks to a multi-year streaming deal between Sony and Netflix. The deal officially began in 2022, giving Netflix licensing rights to stream upcoming Sony features, as well older titles from the Sony library. Additionally, Netflix is a fitting streaming home for The Machine, since Bert Kreischer has several stand-up comedy specials on Netflix, including the similarly named Bert Kreischer: The Machine.

Will The Machine Be On Netflix?

Yes, The Machine will eventually be on Netflix as a result of a deal inked between the streaming platform and the movie’s distributor, Sony Pictures. The deal gives the streamer U.S. rights to all the company’s theatrical films starting in 2022.
While a streaming release date has not yet been announced, we can make an estimate based on another recent Sony film. The Woman King was released in theaters on Sept. 16, 2022, before it came to Netflix on Feb. 16, 2023 — around five months after it debuted. If The Machine follows the same pattern, we could be watching from the comfort of our homes by mid-September 2023.
However, a digital release date should arrive much sooner. The Storm Reid-led thriller Missing was released in theaters on Jan. 20 before becoming available to purchase or rent on March 7 — about 45 days after its debut. By that logic, The Machine should come to digital by late May 2023.

Will The Machine Be On HBO Max?

No, The Machine will not be HBO Max since it’s not a Warner Bros. movie. In the meantime, you’ll just have to head out to a movie theater or wait for it to become available to stream on Netflix.

Is The Machine on Hulu?

We hate to tell you that ‘The Machine’ is not included in Hulu’s library. Alternatively, you can check out some other horror movies you might enjoy watching, such as ‘The Wretched‘ and ‘Agnes.’

Is The Machine on Amazon Prime?

No, Amazon Prime does not house ‘The Machine’ in its extensive content catalog. However, you can always tune into other alternatives the streaming giant offers, including ‘While We Sleep‘ and ‘The Assent.’
How to Watch The Machine Online? Currently, ‘The Machine’ has been released exclusively in theaters, so you cannot watch the horror movie online, be it by streaming or purchasing. However, if your patience is running thin and you want an immersive experience, check show timings and book tickets on the movie’s official website and Fandango.

How to Watch The Machine Online For Free?

You can also watch it on-demand or on a streaming app available on your TV or streaming device if you have cable.

Will The Machine Be Released on DVD and Blu-ray?

As with most films that debut in theaters, audiences can likely expect a physical format release of The Machine eventually. No specific on-sale dates for DVD or Blu-ray editions have been announced yet. Further information regarding physical release will potentially not be available until a few weeks following The Machine's theatrical premiere. Additionally, should it also receive Digital and VOD releases, the physical formats will likely not happen until a few weeks after that.

Who's In the Cast of The Machine?

Kreischer is very much the star of the show here, but being his first feature film, he'll likely be happy to have a strong supporting cast join him. Fans of the stand-up comic were ecstatic to learn that Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill (Star Wars), would be joining the project in a hysterical announcement video where Hamill was announcing his "top secret" project while Bert is drinking with his shirt off in the background. Hamill is reportedly playing an exaggerated version of Bert's father, Albert Kreischer.
Iva Babic (The Last Serb in Croatia) will also have a major supporting role in the film and will be joined by Jimmy Tatro (American Vandal), Martyn Ford (F9: The Fast Saga), Jess Gabor (Shameless), Mercedes De La Cruz (Bates Motel), Robert Maaser (1917), Amelie Child Villiers (The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power), and Stephanie Kurtzuba (The Irishman).

What Exactly Is the Machine Story?

Obviously, Bert Kreischer is the one who tells this story the best and there are plenty of clips online of him telling the story if you want to hear it for yourself, but here's a quick summary:
It all started when Kreischer randomly picked a Russian language class while attending college. According to him, the professor was desperate to keep students and was just giving out positive grades, and eventually planned a semester in Russia. The areas in which the classes were taking place were all locations controlled by various families of the Russian mob, so protection was hired in the form of paid-off mobsters. Kreischer unexpectedly formed a bond with the mobsters, saying the few words in Russian he actually knew, "I am the Machine". And just like that, a legend was born. Eventually, Kreischer and the mobsters robbed virtually every person on a train ride one day, which is the catalyst for the events that occur in the film. Check out the video in the player above to hear the story in Kreischer's own words.

So Here's when and how to watch The Machine, including its theatrical and streaming release date.

When Is the Release Date of The Machine?

The Machine will have a wide release beginning May 26, 2023. It shares a release date with a number of big hitters, including Disney's live-action remake of The Little Mermaid starring Halle Bailey, Kandahar starring Gerard Butler, and About My Father starring Robert De Niro and Sebastian Maniscalco. Other movies playing in theaters during the same time frame include Fast X, Book Club: The Next Chapter, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, among.

Where To Watch The Machine:

As of now, the only way to watch The Machine is to head out to a movie theater when it releases on Friday, May 26. You can find local shows on Fandango, IMAX, Regal, AMC Theatres, Cinemark, Cineplex, Landmark Theatres, Alamo Drafthouse and Harkins Theatres.

Most Viewed, Most Favorite, Top Rating, Top IMDb movies online. Here we can download and watch 123movies movies offline. 123Movies website is the best alternative to The Machine (2023) free online. We will recommend 123Movies is the best Solarmovie alternatives.
There are a few ways to watch The Machine online in the U.S. You can use a streaming service such as Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon Prime Video. You can also rent or buy the movie on iTunes or Google Play.

2023.06.03 19:01 --Clintoris-- 06/03 NRFI AI - Clintoris - Happy Glasnow Day - let’s try again first for removed by mods

**IF YOU WANT TO SKIP MY WRITE UP (Which I dont blame you for, i’m like a monkey who discovered Adderall working a typewriter), here is my bet for todays early slate:

https://preview.redd.it/5mb9alpx7t3b1.png?width=1096&format=png&auto=webp&v=enabled&s=fd0d0cb8fd13a485182b92f1e3eb40d00f62d429

Yesterday’s results for NRFI > 50%:
A’s / Marlins - 50.68% - L
Blue Jays / Mets - 51.51% - L
Tigers / White Sox - 50.54% - W
Could have been a great day yesterday but got killed with home runs. There is something almost serendipitously balanced about how the bets lost yesterday.
Blue Jays / Mets - First batter of the inning home run (he fucking smoked it so yeah) then no runs until the 9th inning, it was legit 1-0 in the 8th inning.
A’s / Marlins - Bases empty, two outs, bottom of the first, 0-2 count… guy flips a ball to right field. Next batter (with a 4% career home run rate) hits an opposite field excuse me home run. Legit not kidding - https://twitter.com/Marlins/status/1664768768189276166?s=20

So we got a lead off homer in one and a homer with two outs in the bottom of the first in the other. So overall a loss of a day but I can’t help but feel like I was on the right side. Also both games I lost but I got pretty solid CLV.

Real quick, I want to appreciate everyone who has reached out to offer insight or suggestions on my analysis. I work in wealth management and while I code AI algorithms like this in my freetime (thank god i found someone to marry me before she found out what a nerd I am) I am not an expert at this. The worksheet is a work in progress so any insight is appreciated.

It’s not listed yet, but once it is snag Glasnow over strikeouts. My guess will be 6.5 since he will have a pitch limit.. but if you haven’t seen Glasnow pitch yet for the Rays, try to find time today. He has been plagued with injuries, but when he is on the mound.. he is a top 3 pitcher in baseball. Not even kidding.

Lyric excerpt (machine-translated) from this month's featured song, Nijuuisseiki no Fu-chi-ku (二十一世紀の瘋痴狂; The 21st Century Hoochie Koo)

(via DeepL.com translation)
We ride by the fields in the moonlit night Ask the horse where we're going Into the shadow of a windmill Wielding a noble spear
From the land of dreams I came to spread my dream
The insane man of the 21st century Insane man of the 21st century The insane man of the 21st century Take the world in your stride, insanity

Excerpt from a review: Encyclopaedia Metallum/The Metal Archives: More Pleasant Than Any Dove's Coo. - 80%

The title track "Nijuuichi Seiki No Hoochie Koo" definitely sets you up for what you're going to experience for most of this album. The entire song has a swinging groove to it, which Shinji Wajima's vocal rhythms help pump into a cool rhythm. The track, like much of this album, has some REALLY spectacular harmonies and backing vocals to help enhance the overall feeling and mood of it. Even though Wajima has lead vocals on the song, it's really Kenichi Suzuki and Nobu Nakajima that harmonize to make the chorus so catchy. The song also ends with a really old school sounding solo from Wajima that hearkens to a style long gone.

2023.06.03 15:00 HenriBemis medical bill issued 53 weeks after date of service in missouri - is that allowed?

My spouse had an ambulance ride last year and was issued the FIRST bill for it 53 weeks later. I think I've looked everywhere for this information: How much time does a healthcare/medical provider have to issue the first bill in Missouri?

Googling has lead me to understand that some states have statutes of limitations (I don't know if I'm using that term by its literal legal definition but in the vernacular you get it) on this sort of issue - ranging from a few months to many years. I can't find the length of time for a Missouri service.

Things I have learned that are helpful for narrowing my question down but did not get me the answer:
1) Ambulances are not in-network (pretty much never are for anyone) so they're a heavy cost as-is.
2) Surprise billing / balance billing are now highly restricted all over the place (yay). Ambulances are exempt from balance billing regulations.
3) I have confirmed this information with the handy-dandy surprise billing hotline.
4) I searched the heck out of websites for state laws and called the state AG office looking to find the sentence, legislative language, the statute, whatever is codified by government to say "this is the rules here" but the people one the phone say they can't tell me, but directed me to more web searches. I have exhausted my creativity trying to find new ways to phrase things for useful search results.

Due to the date of service of the expense, our Flex Spending Acct (not an hsa) can't pay for it. The bill was issued too late for a 2022 bill to be paid in 2023 (unfortunately I'm a pro at using FSAs for our family). If we'd had any idea this was coming down the pike I could have done my eye exam/ new glasses in January 2023 instead of Nov 2022 and paid the ambulance provider from our family medical bill budget.
Medical costs are (sooooo) stressful and ridiculous and infuriating but on a basic level I'm not completely against paying for a service rendered, that's kinda how the rules of capitalism work whether or not I like it. But if the rules state they can't spring bills out of nowhere this late in the game, I would like to be protected by that.

2023.06.03 10:11 universalquantumzen The False Sense of Self — Awaken the Living Awareness Within — Discover the Keys to Happiness, Inner Peace & Harmony by Sambodhi Padmasamadhi

"In this chapter, we continue our deep dive into humans as we know humans, after which we will shift gears a little and turn our focus on the preciousness of human life, and further along the line, we find ourselves discussing existence itself. But for now, without a further due, let us dive into the topic at hand, shall we? But just before we do that, a quick reminder: as mentioned earlier, it’s going to be a wild ride from here on out, so better brace yourself because the pace is not going to get any slower. So, here we go. We live in times of confusion, disillusion, and ignorance, in a world where being genuine and honest is rare, where inauthenticity and insincerity, immorality and inhumanness is running rampant. If one is observant, they cannot but arrive at the conclusion: it seems as though humanity has become to disintegrate and devolve; people seem to suffer from a spiritual decay, a spiritual disease that is eating them from within — they have become to deteriorate and fragment from within. As a result, people react more and reflect less, do more and accomplish less, talk more and say less, generalize more and specify less.
Any observant individual can see that humans as we know humans today, are blinded by hubris and denial of things obvious — they have become arrogant and selfish, hollow empty shells, wandering through life like a ship lost at sea, drifting farther and farther off course; it’s like there’s no one home, you see? It seems that vast majority of people choose to remain that way. In an age of individualism, people are blinded by the false sense of self, slumbering in an illusory dream; unable or unwilling to wake up, they are driven by the cravings of various sorts — everyone seems to want the same things that others do. Blinded by groupthink, people are like a flock of birds or herd of sheep, nearly all of them running at a given time in the same direction. Isn’t that precisely the epitome of selfishness, the paradox of individualism?
When people are looking outside, they never have to look inside — until one day, something happens that reveals just how asleep they are. Suddenly, they realize that their sense of self, which has been formed and constructed out of their ideas, images, beliefs, assumptions, interpretations, expectations and desires is not really who they are. As this happens, one has to be overwhelmed how much their life has been driven by someone else’s narrative. When we look around us, and pay attention to our surroundings, we can see that no one seems to have any idea what they are doing and everyone is just pretending, which brings us to an important point: as humans, most of us live immersed in our daily lives with little thought of who we are, why we are here, or where we are going. This means that most of us are completely unaware of the fact that real freedom and happiness can never come to us from outside ourselves — they can only be found within, you see? As such, most of us have never realized the True Self — our innate Spiritual Nature, which is the Living Essence beyond name and form, words, ideas and thinking." 2023.06.03 00:51 Illustrious_Car2992 A little known but powerful weapon for Alberta voters

April 7, 2022 the Alberta government quietly passed a critical piece of legislation, the likes of which had never previously existed.
The Recall Act (formally Bill 52) allows Albertans to hold elected officials accountable throughout their term, not just during elections. It creates a process that could lead to the recall of elected officials, including Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs), municipal officials and school trustees.
Recalling an MLA: An Albertan would apply to the Chief Electoral Officer for a petition to recall their MLA if they feel they are not upholding their responsibilities at least 18 months after an election, up until six months (or less in some instances) before the next election. Only Canadian citizens of legal voting age (that is, over the age of 18) who have resided in an electoral district for at least three months may initiate a recall petition.
Eligible electors may apply to the Chief Electoral Officer (the CEO), in accordance with the requirements set out in section 2 of the Act.
If the application is properly submitted, the CEO will issue a notice on the Elections Alberta website and provide the elector with a petition form whereby they will have 60 days to gather signatures from 40 per cent of eligible voters in their constituency. The petitioner may seek the assistance of canvassers (who must also be eligible electors in that constituency) in gathering signatures.
If sufficient signatures are gathered, the CEO will verify the votes, publish the results, and order a recall vote.
A recall vote (similar to a referendum) determining if the MLA shall be removed will be held within six months of the date of the CEO’s publishing of the results. A simple majority is required to unseat the incumbent MLA.
If the MLA is unseated, the results will be published and a by-election will be held in that riding.
This process is handled by Elections Alberta not the government. I've included a link to the fact sheet on the Alberta government's website.

2023.06.02 22:34 MadelineWuntch Defending The Draft: Denver Broncos

When unfortunate sporting historians of the future look back on the Denver Broncos 5-win 2022 NFL season there will be a lot said of Mr Unlimited’s rather limited performances and Nathaniel’s inability to hack it as a head coach and rightly so.
However, I think it’s important to at least mention the Broncos strange love affair with the medical room. 21 players took a trip to IR, multiple key starters fell victim to season ending injuries including Tim Patrick, Garett Bolles and Javonte Williams.
And in spite of all of the depressing dog doo-doo the Broncos lost by a single score an astounding 8 times. So that’s something right?
Moving into 2023, General George Paton hired his alternate namesake and former Saints Head Coach Sean Payton for the princely sum of pick 29 in the 2023 NFL Draft (Denver also sent a 2nd rounder in 2024 and received a 3rd rounder in 2024).
Only a few weeks after the appointment of Sean Payton the NFL entered its Free Agency period which led to some big changes at Mile High.
15 players were let go to sign elsewhere around the league but not an awful lot in terms of quality.
Dre’Mont Jones, DE - Seattle Seahawks (3 year, $51 Million) Dre’mont grew into a solid contributor for Denver but I’m glad the Broncos didn’t re-sign him for the money Seattle has. By far the most talented to leave the team in free agency but only a very slight miss.
Calvin Anderson, T - New England Patriots (2 year, $7 Million) Not a splashy name by any means but Anderson knew his role and performed well when called upon, A solid backup with starter experience.
Andrew Beck, FB/TE - Houston Texans (2 year, $6.25 Million) Beck is another reliable contributor who seems to have joined a number of former Broncos in moving to Houston recently. A former Salute to Service Award winner.
Mike Boone, RB - Houston Texans (2 year, $3.1 Million) Boone is a fantastic option to have for Special Teams play, however he lacks real quality when running the ball. There was optimism when he initially signed in Denver but that appears to have fallen to the wayside as he moves on rather silently.
Graham Glasgow, G - Detroit Lions (1 year, $2.75 Million) The Broncos offensive line has been offensive to watch for years. Glasgow however has been one of the bright spots, especially when he played at centre at parts in 2022.
Brandon McMacus, K - Jacksonville Jaguars (1 year, $2 Million) The last member of the Super Bowl 50 winning team has left Dove Valley. In a somewhat surprising but expected move if you look at his declining performances Denver only recently moved on from McManus. It was the right time but it sure is a sad sight to see.
De’Shawn Williams, DE - Carolina Panthers (1 year, $1.75 Million) Losing both Jones and Williams is a slight concern in terms of depth. Although Williams isn’t as productive as his former teammate he’s certainly a steal for the Panthers as a rotational/back up. He’s arguably serviceable as a starter as well and knows the defensive staff in Carolina very well.
Eric Saubert, TE - Miami Dolphins (1 year, $1.68 Million) I forgot Eric was even on the team, his receiving qualities aren’t much to go crazy for with 15 recs and 148 yards on a career best 2022 season and his run blocking isn’t fantastic either albeit it is his stronger game.
Billy Turner, T - New York Jets (1 year, $1.5 Million) Billy was a sad loss back in 2018 when he first left for Green Bay. However he couldn’t really get started and spent large parts of the season on IR.
Latavius Murray, RB - Buffalo Bills (1 year, $1.3 Million) Latavius is the biggest loss for Denver in my opinion. The only member of the team who showed passion, drive and self respect throughout his short lived time in Colorado. The Bills have a solid contributor who will definitely fit the pound the rock ethos.
Chase Edmonds, RB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1 year, $1.1 Million) We never got to see what Chase could do in Denver and maybe that’s a good thing if his seasons with Miami are anything to go by. I’m sure he’ll do well in Tampa’s pass heavy offence as a backup catching back.
Eric Tomlinson, TE - Free Agent Most of you have probably never heard of Eric Tomlinson and there's a good reason for that. He’s also still without a team after signing with the Texans for 15 days back in March.
Darius Phillips, CB - Houston Texans (1 year, $1 Million) Darius got a few snaps on defence but spent most of his time on special teams, a rather average contributor by any metric but does have a fair amount of starting experience in the league.
Brett Rypien, QB - Los Angeles Rams (1 year, $1 Million) Broncos fans love this guy. He’s not good at football in a practical sense and he’s likely not going to help the Rams secure any wins but he’s a really smart dude and most likely a future coach. Not to mention its fun to say “Let ‘Em Ryp” if he does ever play.
Corliss Waitman, P - New England Patriots (1 year, $1 Million) There is no chance this man will be playing for the Patriots in 2023. Punting for Denver should be quite easy compared to most of the league but Waitman set out to prove us all wrong on that one. Easily the worst punter I’ve seen in Denver for a good few years.
Lamar Jackson, CB - Kansas City Chiefs (1 year, $1 Million) Lamar didn’t really get an opportunity to feature in Denver, I’m fairly sure he’ll be a camp body in KC as well so there’s not much to add on this one.
Although we let a lot of players leave, I think we managed to re-sign the most important of all the players with contracts expiring.
Alex Singleton, MLB (3 year, $18 Million) I’m telling you now, this man is elite. His season started a little slow but he came to town with 21-tackles (19 solo) against Divisional Rivals the LA Chargers. He did a similar thing in week 15 vs the Rams where he totalled another 20 tackles.
Overall I think Singleton is starting to peak and turn into a real force in this league.
Kareem Jackson, S (1 year, $1.3 Million) Kareem has far exceeded the expectations Broncos fans had for him when he joined from Houston in 2019. Initially as a corner and later taking over a strong safety Jackson has been brilliant, his heavy hitting style has made him a fan favourite and I’m pleased to see him back yet again.
Cameron Fleming, T (1 year, $2.3 Million) Fleming was a decent enough back up for the team in 2022 that unfortunately ended up starting more than everyone would have wanted. He’s a great depth addition to bring back, let's hope it remains a depth option though.
With so many departures comes a long list of new faces for the Broncos. 13 new players joined in free agency and whilst some are better than others there’s certainly been a clear direction that Sean Payton is heading in. big men, very big men.
Mike McGlinchey, RT - (5 year, $87.5 Million) I’ve been a big McGlinchey fan since the days of his nasty Notre Dame O-Line, where he lined up alongside Quenton Nelson. Mike’s play for the 49ers whilst good has had some rather concerning points with his lack of success vs speed rushers being the overwhelmingly obvious. We’re reaching a point where McGlinchey is living off of his college performances much like Jadeveon Clowney is still renowned for “the hit”. I do believe mcGlinchey will look like a hall of famer in comparison to every Broncos Right Tackle of the past 10 years and I do believe he’ll be successful in what the Broncos want to do which is run the ball down your throat. Denver has stability at both tackle positions and that’s only going to be a positive.
Ben Powers, G - (4 year, $52 Million) The quickest path to the quarterback is the straightest. It’s important Wilson is protected from the interior of his pocket and Ben certainly has powers in that department. I don’t think it would be an understatement to call Ben Powers elite in pass pro and whilst his run blocking seems to be improving it's not fantastic. Nonetheless I think this is very similar to the McGlinchey situation where we’ve slightly overpaid but the team will have a massive upgrade at Guard.
Zach Allen, DE - (3 year, $45.75 Million) I like Allen but the concern for me here is this past year was a career year for him, and with such a small sample size of good but not elite play I struggle with the idea that he will repeat his 2022 success in 2023. His contract doesn’t appear to be overly friendly either with $19 Million in 2024 cap scheduled in the books along with half of his 2025 salary guaranteed as well.
I don’t think he’ll be a bad signing, his familiarity with DC and former Broncos HC Vance Joseph will be a good thing but for the 3rd signing in a row, and perhaps the most egregious the Broncos have overpaid for their man.
Jarrett Stidham, QB (2 year, $10 Million) I like this move a lot, Stidham is a high end back up who can provide enough of a threat to Russ that he can win games in Denver if called upon. In reality he’s a backup but a back up you can certainly have confidence in.
Chris Manhertz, TE (2 year, $6 Million) I liked the Stidham signing, I love the Manhertz signing. He’s not flashy and he isn’t going to show up anywhere with big stats, however Manhertz has consistently been an elite blocking tight end for years and its players like him that make the difference on short yardage situations.
Samaje Perine, RB (2 year, $7.5 Million) This seems to be another Sean Payton inspired move. Initially Perine was never thought of as a back who could catch out of the backfield but his year spent with Cool guy Joe Burrow in Cincinnati has shown he’s more than capable of being that guy. Working in a committee alongside Javonte Williams should bring success to this lifeless Denver offense in 2023.
Michael Burton, FB (1 year, $1.3 Million) Burton has played for Sean Payton before and that will be incredibly useful for obvious reasons. Burton has been a blocking fullback for most of his career but has shown the ability to run and catch when called upon. I like this move and its a clear upgrade on Beck.
Tremon Smith, CB/Returner (2 year, $5 Million) If Smith is only going to be a returner then I think Denver have once again overpaid for a player coming off a bad year in a position declining in value. I do think Smith can rebound and have the type of year he’s been having since 2018. Not to mention there isn’t a chance Smith can be anywhere near as bad as Montrell Washington had been in 2022.
Riley Dixon, P (2 year, $3.5 Million) Riley was drafted by Denver in 2016 before being traded to the Giants a few years down the line. Despite the advantageous altitude in Denver, Dixon wasn’t a very good punter for the team in his 2 seasons. However, in a move that shows how bad this team really has been Dixon will still be a big improvement over Corliss Waitman and thus this needs to be considered an upgrade.
Marquez Callaway, WR (1 year, $1.1 Million) Former Sean Payton disciple Callaway reuniting in Denver is a good thing from my perspective. During Payton’s last season in New Orleans Callaway managed to put up 6 touchdowns in 46 receptions. The Broncos have a busy WR room but its a room that is yet to be healthy together so this move makes sense from all angles.
Kyle Fuller, C (1 year, $1.1 Million) I don’t expect Fuller to see the field unless there’s another injury disaster as he’s arguably 3rd on the depth chart. I’m glad the team have started to add some much needed depth but there’s also a solid chance that Fuller doesn’t Fill out the roster in 2023.
Following free agency most Broncos fans felt the team needed some further reinforcements but with so few picks available to start the 2023 NFL Draft many were left wondering what kind of magic George Paton could cook up to fill the team with contributing players.
#63: Marvin Mims, WR (Oklahoma) I don’t think anybody foresaw the Broncos trading up in the 2nd round to take a wide receiver. And whilst it's not a huge need, especially with the depth addition of Marquez Callaway in free agency, I do think it's a very good pick.
K.J. Hamler has failed to stay fit and this all but spells the end for his time in Denver in my opinion. It’s no wonder the Broncos front office couldn’t resist the opportunity to take a player with 4.38 speed and a 2-year college average of 20 yards per reception. I can see his ability to line up anywhere coming in very handy in a high motion Denver offense.
What I find spectacular about Mims is his ability to genuinely do everything. He can take the top off a defense, take screens in space for first downs, and generally play well in the short, medium and long game. There'll be some minor concerns over a Oklahoma running limited route trees but given Payton’s creativity and the likelihood of being moved around to capitalize on speed mismatches I don’t really feel those concerns are overly warranted.
#67: Drew Sanders, LB (Arkansas) I think Sanders has a real shot of being the best player selected in the 2023 NFL Draft when we look back in a few years time. He was a 5-star recruit at Alabama before transferring to Arkansas in 2022. Nick Saban has since said last summer that Sanders “probably would have started” for Alabama in one of the deepest pass rushing units in college. Ultimately he starred for the Razorbacks where his athletic prowess, versatility and toughness helped him notch up 9.5 Sacks (2nd in SEC) and 103 tackles.
His ability to play inside and outside will delight Vance Joseph who will end up using him very heavily in blitz packages from both the edge and middle linebacker positions. Ultimately we’re relying on a player's superior athletic abilities to give him the edge until he learns the nuances of NFL football.
His tackle consistency vs the run needs heavy improvement if he wants to be a 3-down player for Denver at either the edge or inside linebacker positions. Part of his problem so far has been a tendency to bite on fakes and misdirections and although his athleticism has managed to shine through at the College level it won’t be as successful at the NFL level.
#83: Riley Moss, CB (Iowa) Moss, in theory, has everything you would look for in an NFL corner with the exception of real top end speed. He’s tall and rangey with good tackling instincts but there are some shortcomings which will likely affect his NFL future as a cornerback. Moss typically leaves a bit too much cushion in zone coverage which can lead to explosive receivers leaving him in the dust. In man coverage he’ll often leave the underneath to compensate for his lack of top end speed; his aforementioned tackling skills at least thrive here.
His run support is likely going to make him a real runner for the slot corner position in zone packages but his shortcomings may also lead to Vance Joseph wanting to move him to safety eventually. The biggest advantage he has going forward is his versatility otherwise he may end up as a special teams contributor only.
#183: JL Skinner, S (Boise State) Drafted predominantly for his size, Skinner stands at 6’4, hits hard and plays to his strengths. Against the run Skinner performs admirably and has fantastic angles when pursuing the runner. In coverage he’s equally as solid with the ball skills to force interceptions and pass breakups.
I can only see Skinner on a trajectory to the top and I'm excited to see him in Denver. Ultimately it will be his responsibility to cover Travis Kelce, Michael Mayer and Gerald Everett twice a year.
#257: Alex Forsyth, C (Oregon) I think the Broncos wanted to draft a center, I don’t believe that man was supposed to be Alex Forsyth. Whilst he’s good value for the 7th round, I imagine they would have rather had the opportunity to take John Michael Schmitz or Joe Tippmann. I’m not sure how this pick is going to work out. On one hand I can see him being part of the same dominant force that allowed his backs ro average 5 yards per play in Oregon but on the other hand he’s a penalty machine much like Garrett Bolles was to start his career.
Overall I think the Broncos did the best they could with the selections they had. It would have been nice to see a tackle for the first time in 6 years or another running back to support Javonte and Samaje.
My concerns with the class is that although they're talented they weren't all the biggest needs this off season.
I can see all of them with the exception of Forsyth becoming a contributing level talent with Denver and over the course of their rookie contracts.
Ultimately this is how I see the roster breaking down:
QB: Russell Wilson, Jarett Stidham, Ben DiNucci HB: Javonte Williams, Samaje Perine, Tony Jones jr. FB: Michael Burton WR: Jerry Jeudy, Tim Patrick, Courtland Sutton, Marvin Mims jr, Marquez Callaway TE: Greg Dulcich, Adam Trautman, Albert Okwuegbunam, Chris Manhertz OT: Garett Bolles, Mike McGlinchey, Cam Fleming, Isaiah Prince, Quinn Bailey IOL: Ben Powers, Quin Meinerz, Lloyd Cushenberry, Alex Forsyth, Luke Wattenberg, Kyle Fuller. DL: Zach Allen, Jonathan Harris, Eyioma Uwazurike, Jonathan Cooper, D.J. Jones, Mike Purcell LOLB: Randy Gregory, Baron Browning MLB: Alex Singleton, Josey Jewell, Drew Sanders, Justin Strnad, Jonas Griffith ROLB: Nik Bonnito, Aaron Patrick CB: Pat Surtain II, Damarri Mathis, Riley Moss, K’Waun Williams, Tremon Smith FS: Justin Simmons, Jamar Johnson, Caden Sterns SS: JL Skinner, Kareem Jackson
K: TBD P: Riley Dixon R: Tremon Smith LS: Mitchell Fraboni
There’s probably one big name missing here and that’s K.J. Hamler, who I think will get cut or traded before week 1.
Moving forward into 2023 and the 2024 off season there are a few positions Denver still need to worry about. There’s huge question marks over the ability of Russell Wilson and whether he still has the ability to play at the highest level.
We’ve also got question marks at running back with Javonte Williams coming off a huge injury. Our WR room has a lot of unknowns after Courtland Suttons failure to rediscover his form after his ACL injury whilst teammate Tim Patrick is also recovering from the same injury suffered this past season.
The offensive line still needs addressing as Lloyd Cushenberry often gets bullied in the trenches and Garrett Bolles may revert under another new offensive line coach, so far Mike Munchak is the only man to get a respectable tune from the former first round pick.
Moving on to defense and there’s less issues but still big weaknesses. I’d like to see us invest more in the defensive line and outside linebacker positions with Cooper, Bonnito, Browning and Gregory all relatively unknown in a Broncos uniform.
Ultimately if I had to narrow it down the focus going forward needs to be on center, defensive end and quarterback if things will russ doesn’t improve.
Ultimately there was a lot to like about the Broncos off season changes and everything seems to be pointing towards a more successful, creative team in 2023. We look to have added steel where it mattered across the offensive line and signing Sean Payton could prove to be the biggest acquisition of the all.
Ironically, this series is called defending the draft and that’s what I’ve struggled to do here the most. I like the class, I think there’s some high impact players there for sure, but I’ve come away wishing we’d filled some other key areas a little bit better. Ultimately you can’t always have the board fall as you want it and it’s a huge improvement from the classes John Elway managed to put together.
Thank you for reading my Denver Broncos draft/off season review. I filled in as a last minute replacement so hopefully this manages to hit the right spot for everyone.

LET’S RIDE.

2023.06.02 18:46 mytrilife Bolt V2. Route map freeze.

Did Belgian Waffle Ride BC last weekend.
Loaded the route, which is fairly big (219km) into my Bolt V2.
Started the route when the race started and all was good until 20km. I was on the map screen and was zooming in and out and the map screen froze completely. However, all of the other screens continued to function properly. The device continued to prompt me routing directions for the rest of the race as well. The map screen never unfroze.
Anyone know a trick to get the map to unfreeze if this happens? I tried zoom in and out to no avail.
Once I finished the race and restarted the device everything was fine.
Last year I completed a 235km route without issue. Latest firmware a bit buggy maybe?

2023.06.02 15:32 sal_vetri 6 Breakout Wide Receivers for 2023

1/ Drake London was quietly great as a rookie…
He ranked 11th in WR efficiency, ahead of Ja’Marr Chase & Keenan Allen. Now check this out…
He earned a target on 32% of his routes, 2nd best in the entire NFL, and this metric improves with experience. Translation: London is about to explode. And one more thing…
London scored just 4 TDs last year. But based on his usage he was expected to score 8. Expect this to naturally balance out. Now London found success despite being in the worst situation. Atlanta ranked 31st in pass plays per game & their QBs combined for the 2nd worst efficiency.
The logic is simple: Any increase in pass volume or efficiency gives London Top-10 upside
2/ Kadarius Toney enters his 3rd year…
It’s been a rough career so far. He’s missed 44% of his games due to injury. But this year looks appealing because he’s Patrick Mahomes #1 WR. Kansas City only added 1 key pass-catcher this offseason. They took Rashee Rice in the 2nd round of the draft. Here’s the notes on Rashee Rice:
He has solid size and speed. Rice produced over 1300 yards last year at SMU. But his ability to separate is a concern. Here’s your takeaway…
Kadarius Toney is set to breakout. He earns a target on 29% of his career routes. This ranks Top-10 among ALL WRs the past 2 years. Consider him a strong option in round 6…
3/ Let’s discuss Christian Watson…
He was injured to start 2022, but finished as the #7 WR the final 9 weeks. However, he now goes as the 19th WR in drafts. Let’s discuss…
Watson was 12th in WR efficiency as a rookie. He led all receivers in points per target. These metrics correlate strongly to 2nd year success. Now there’s 1 key difference we must address, Jordan Love is his new QB.
This creates uncertainty around Watson’s outlook. But it’s baked into his 4th round draft position. Translation, your friends are scared to draft him. Which is strange because…
Watson has no competition in Green Bay. He’s the clear #1 option for Love. This means his target share will only increase. Resulting in more explosive plays…
4/ Treylon Burks had a nice offseason…
The Titans only drafted 7th rounder Colton Dowell & signed 30-year-old WR Chris Moore. No real competition was brought in. This is great for the big WR in Burks…
As a rookie he was Top-30 in WR efficiency, 34% better than the average first year receiver. And he only got better as the season went on. Burks had three Top-20 finishes his final 6 games. Including a 111-yard game against stud corner Jaire Alexander
He’s the clear #1 option for the Titans in 2023 & you can get him in round 7…
5/ Nico Collins quietly won the offseason…
The Texans didn’t any threatening pass-catchers. See for yourself:
Houston added:
• Robert Woods: 78th in WR 2022 efficiency
• Dalton Schultz: 17th in 2022 TE efficiency
• Nathaniel Dell: rookie, only 165 pounds
Nico’s efficiency improved in 2022. He saw a 38% increase in his yards per route run. This is a common trend for WRs who breakout in year 3. Now here’s the best part…
Despite being his teams #1 WR, Collins goes in round 12. He just got a QB upgrade in CJ Stroud. Stroud is considered the most accurate rookie QB. Take Collins before your friends do…
6/ Jahan Dotson is a massive breakout candidate…
He played in 12 games as a rookie & finished as a Top-25 WR in 50% of them. The most interesting part was his tape. Dotson wasn’t drafted to be a slot WR. He played 80% of his snaps on the outside as a rookie. He’s already a Top-10 route runner in the NFL. Here’s what you need to know…
Dotson was often open downfield. He ranked 14th in average depth of target. But his issue was his QBs. Dotson was just 78th in catchable targets last year. 30% of his targets weren’t even catchable. His QB situation is still not incredible: Sam Howell & Jacoby Brissett…
But 2022 was worst case scenario. Howell provides a potential unknown upside, while Brissett showcased career-high accuracy last year. Dotson is the best 8th round pick right now…

2023.06.02 05:56 NeedleworkerSad357 Overview of the Blackmail Running Our World

This post is an overview of some of the blackmail tactics used to control most of the influential people and governments around the world. Obviously I cannot cover everything in a single post, so as with my previous posts I highly encourage you to research further yourself. All sources and links are at the bottom of the post. An understanding of what trauma-based mind control programming (MKULTRA/MONARCH) is, and how it works, is again necessary to understanding much of this. My other posts here:
The world is run on blackmail, mind control, and shame.
There exist many collections of videotapes of 'high-up' people engaging in some of the worst, sickest things imaginable. Drugs, torture, pedophilia, and murder are common themes to these videos. These tapes are in the hands of many different people, groups, and especially intelligence agencies. 'Honey-trap' operations are constantly being run to gather compromising and incriminating evidence on people of importance. Child slaves will be used to compromise people on video. Global leaders are often covertly videotaped doing perverted things with sex slaves sent to them by intelligence agencies, the Illuminati, or other groups, and this is then leveraged. Rape and murder of a child (forced or not), one of the most repulsive things possible, is many times filmed to ensure future compliance.
"Back in 1966, Rothstein became the first police detective assigned to investigate the prostitution industry. Almost immediately he discovered an underground sexual blackmail operation that compromised politicians with child prostitutes. ‘Human Compromise’ is what he labelled the honey-trap process. Rothstein and his colleagues found that approximately 70 percent of top US Government leaders were compromised in this way. Rothstein said, the CIA conducted the human compromise operation, while the FBI was tasked with covering up any leaks."
"One of the things I found out over the last ten years of studying governments and listening to intelligence and counter-intelligence is that those in government are sexually compromised, and their sexual secrets are collected and then they are promoted into governments and into judiciaries and into all the positions of importance. Paedophilia is the preferred dirt as it is easily photographed, easily presented in a range of media, immensely shameful, and the public demands your resignation."
"Paul Bonacci, one of the victim-witnesses in the Franklin affair, also clearly stated Larry King used him in blackmail operations in New York and Washington. The latter was in connection with the activities of a close associate of Larry King, Craig Spence, who was involved in a prostitution ring consisting of underaged boys that were supplied to Washington's upper class, which went right up to the White House."
"The thing about pedophilia is it holds the most shame, therefore it has the most control over judges and lawyers, and Queen's councils and politicians and ministers. Sexually bent politicians in denial of their sexuality to the public are a threat to their own country and policies. They are easily setup, photographed, politically bribed, toppled, and supported in the destruction of their country. This method of altering a country’s policies is epidemic and now endemic to politics."
"Bob (Hope) was politically connected and knew how to lure people in and insure they would work for him. He invited them to his parties and dangled various kinds of illegal or immoral perversions in their faces. Once their perversions were uncovered, he could blackmail or control them. That is how Bob worked. Bob was very good at this. I watched him do it to people over and over. He lured them in, detected their weaknesses, then used that knowledge in his favor, for his connections, and ultimately for his personal gain."
These blackmail 'practices' are often used in conjunction with trauma-based mind control. This mind control is an integral component of, and is deeply intertwined with child trafficking, sex slavery, Satanic ritual abuse, and many other horrific crimes. Many of the children used for blackmail are programmed, and many of the people being blackmailed (including (sometimes future) politicians, leaders, presidents, etc.) are also programmed themselves.
"My personal belief, based on my experiences, is that over the years, more leaders were under mind control."
"Fritz Springmeier notes that 'It is a standard tactic of the Illuminati, their New World Order and its various branches to use fear and blackmail to bring people into line.' Cheryl Beck had a 'sexy Sadie' program that was used to blackmail government and military people as a child prostitute seductress. Cathy O’Brien’s daughter Kelly was 'being prostituted to the CIA for blackmail purposes.' Svali notes that using child prostitutes to blackmail political leadership outside of the Illuminati was very common."
"Beryl-Green said Epstein knew about MKULTRA. He was into mind-controlling victims and satanic ritual abuse (SRA). Epstein was into DNA mixing, human cloning and he knew about New World Order plans."
"This dirty game has been honed to a fine art, which is a standard feature of the Illuminati/intelligence groups. The CIA term for blackmail is an 'OK FIX.' When they use a person’s past sins to force someone to do something they refer to this as 'biographic leverage.' Any weak point in a person can and will be exploited. Sexual entrapment for blackmail is referred to as a 'HONEY TRAP'. Black widow alters are being trained and sent out for this purpose. In order to blackmail, or threaten, you have to have something to threaten the person with. Men are frequently entrapped by sexual behavior which is criminal. Sometimes they are also entrapped by murder. The Monarch slave will be allowed to have children so that they can be blackmailed into complying to save the children or grandchildren. The Monarch slave in turn may be used to blackmail others. Certain alters are trained in this. A Monarch Beta model is highly trained in seduction. Many politicians and ministers are operating under blackmail today. The extent that blackmail is being used by the NWO would boggle people’s minds. Porn films are taken of the Monarch victims, so that they can be used to blackmail the victim. Monarch victims are forced to commit ritual murders which are photographed and then used to blackmail the mind-controlled victim."
Intelligence agencies all over the world utilize blackmail, routinely employing and exploiting it as much as possible. It is an extremely important 'tool' of theirs. Operations are done to gather the incriminating evidence.
"Other 'neutralisations' verge on the bizarre. An individual who must remain nameless for a variety of reasons - but whose name is known to this writer - underwent an experience that is both horrific and chilling. I shall call this individual 'Mr. X' or, simply, 'X'. Mr. X was a leader of one of the largest CIA-backed Contra groups. He recently testified before the US Senate Intelligence Committee. Formerly, X was a senior executive in a South American subsidiary of a leading US soft drinks corporation. During his Senate testimony, he denied any knowledge of CIA involvement in the narcotics trade, adding that condoning such activity would have been foreign to his way of life. Not so, says Tatum. Mr. X had been recruited into the CIA by then-Director William Casey, with the assistance of Oliver North. In 1990, when Nicaraguan leader Daniel Ortega announced there would be 'free elections', X was ecstatic. He began jostling for position and asked President Bush to ensure he be given a prominent position in the new government - in return for his years of toil at the behest of the CIA and the Enterprise. The pressure came in a form that Bush could not ignore. Failure to help his friend would result in X's intimate knowledge of Bush's involvement in the dope trade being made public. His threat left Bush with a sour taste. A Pegasus team was assigned to 'neutralise' him in early 1990. Mr. X, Tatum states, 'fancied himself a lover of women. Tall, large-breasted blondes were his favourite. It was determined that, if effectively neutralised, [X] could be an asset. Therefore, it was decided that intimidation would be used to control [X].' They chose to use the drug Scopolamine, which also went by the nickname 'Burundanga' or 'the Voodoo drug'. The drug is extracted from the pods of a flowering shrub that grows in remote regions of South America. In its processed, powdered form, Scopolamine is 'void of smell, void of taste'. When properly administered 'it causes absolute obedience' without this being 'observable by others'. Importantly, the target will not recall any of the events that occurred during the period they were under the spell of the drug. Tatum states that X was invited to spend a relaxing weekend at a luxury hotel as a guest of his friend George Bush. His host for the weekend was a trusted 18-year veteran field-intelligence officer. The evening started with cocktails and was followed by a fine meal. ''Nothing but the best' were the orders.' Following the meal, he was ushered into the suite of a 'blonde bombshell' supplied by the CIA. Mr. X had already ingested a dose of Burundanga during pre-dinner cocktails. X was gallant with the blonde as they both moved into the bedroom where video cameras were already set up in one corner. In short order, the blonde had X standing naked in front of her and began to indulge his desires. All the while, the video cameras whirred. Slowly stripping off, the 'blonde' revealed his manhood in all its glory. Mr. X was instructed to reciprocate the favour and perform fellatio. He obliged, his intimate activities recorded at 24 frames a second on videotape. Tatum says the male prostitute was hired from a bar in New York and killed that same evening. Two weeks later, X - wholly unaware of the events of that evening - was visited in Nicaragua. He was presented with a copy of the video footage, along with instructions. Tatum says that X can never allow that video to be seen: 'Not only does it reveal his homosexuality, but it also reveals his bestiality and satanic worship rituals.' As frame after frame flicked by, X reportedly wept, forced to watch himself kill his homosexual 'lover' and then engage in the most grisly cannabalistic ritual imaginable. Neutralised, Mr. X became a leading member of the Nicaraguan government a few short weeks later."
"Check out the FBI records on Scarlett: What was his original HOOK that got him so deeply embedded into UK Illuminati culture? He murdered the nanny of Lord Lucan in the 1970's. Lucan wasn't actually involved. Scarlett got it wrong. He was under mind control at the time. How we all laughed on his training sessions when we heard that one. Not funny, really. We were all in the same boat. Each had something terrible attached to us, in our past. That is all part and parcel of the Illuminati contract. Young people forced under mind control to commit murder when young and then later on, picked up by British Intelligence to be used and abused as they wished - as loyal servants of the British Crown. One can only hope that by exposing these HOOKS, that some sort of amnesty can prevail. If these people are freed from the demonic Illuminati contract by exposing their HOOKS - one can only hope that they will come forward as a sizeable and influential body of political and public figures, in order to put an end to it. Here's hoping. Check out Rimington's hook to see what sort of mind ran MI5 for so long. It's a game called 'mafia' and it is ALL about blackmail."
"...He had previously signed off on Epstein’s 'sweetheart deal' because Epstein 'had belonged to intelligence.' Acosta, then serving as US attorney for Southern Florida, had also been told by unspecified figures at the time that he needed to give Epstein a lenient sentence because of his links to 'intelligence.'"
"Detective Rothstein found that the CIA were behind a blackmail operation in which child prostitutes were used to honey-trap and compromise politicians, military brass, top businessmen, and key government officials. Rothstein, who arrested the key Watergate perpetrator, said Watergate solely concerned this human compromise racket, and specifically was an attempt to obtain a list of compromised pedophile VIPs and their proclivities that was held at the Democratic National Headquarters."
"Michael Aquino was in the military. He had top Pentagon clearances. He was a pedophile. He was a Satanist. He founded the Temple of Set. And he was a close friend of Anton LaVey. The two of them were very active in ritualistic sexual abuse. And they deferred funding from this government program to use in this experimentation on children. Where they deliberately split off the personalities of these children into multiples, so that when they're questioned or put under oath or questioned under lie detector, that unless the operator knows how to question a multiple-personality disorder, they turn up with no evidence. They used these kids to sexually compromise politicians or anyone else they wish to have control of...they were taken to be used by professional pedophiles. People that have the money to buy what they want, take the kids wherever they want...and by splitting the children’s personalities they could then train each one of the personalities to do a different function. And the rest of the personalities within that host personality would not be aware of it or remember it."
"Vinson also told Nick Bryant that Spence and Larry King were 'partners' and 'hooked up with the CIA', stating specifically that 'King and Spence were in business together, and their business was pedophilic blackmail.' They were transporting children all over the country. They would arrange for children to be flown into Washington, DC and also arrange for influential people in DC to be flown out to the Midwest and meet these kids. Per Vinson, Larry King had confided in him that he had clients who liked to torture and even kill children: 'King said they had clients who actually liked having sex with kids as they tortured or killed the kid. I found that totally unbelievable.' After Vinson said this to Nick Bryant, he asked Bryant later on in the interview if King’s disclosure had indeed been true. He was unaware at the time that other evidence, including witness testimony, had suggested that it was."
"According to fugitive ex-CIA officer Frank Terpil, CIA-directed sexual blackmailing operations were intensive in Washington at about the time of the Watergate scandal. One of those operations, Terpil claims, was run by his former partner, Ed Wilson. Wilson's base of operations for arranging trysts for the politically powerful was, Terpil says, Korean agent Ton Sun Park’s George Town Club. In a letter to the author, Terpil explained that ‘Historically, one of Wilson’s Agency jobs was to subvert members of both houses [of Congress] by any means necessary. Certain people could be easily coerced by living out their sexual fantasies in the flesh...A remembrance of these occasions was permanently recorded via selected cameras...The technicians in charge of filming were TSD [Technical Services Division of the CIA]...The unwitting porno stars advanced in their political careers, some of whom may still be in office.'"
"Intelligence and counter intelligence ‘work’, and they ‘work together’ to create scenarios that are so unbelievable that they cannot be published in the mainstream media, and if they are, they will appear like a joke. The information to blackmail a country, to blackmail its politicians, to blackmail its Prime Ministers and Presidents, to blackmail its judges and lawyers is a very serious matter."
The Illuminati and other cults also engage in the same blackmail operations. There is a huge overlap between secret societies/cults and intelligence, with top intelligence usually being run by them. All of them do this.
"I was able to have first hand access to the Jeffrey Epstein case investigation documents. According to the documents, Epstein was the head of a global fraternity related to the Shriners called The Royal Order of Jesters. This order is covered with scandals and lawsuits related to human trafficking, but they are very protected because many members of the order are high-profile political figures and businessmen. It is crazy how these people manage to operate under the radar for so many years, decades...Now you may ask how they do this? Easy...By using blackmail tactics, they manage to have Judges and Law Enforcement licking their feet. That's how Jeffery Epstein got assassinated. After he was out of the game, the whole business is run by other people. Major names are involved and many high-profile people who are all bound to the order by means of blackmail. This is particularly disturbing when you find out that the cases of Catholic priests involved in sex scandals are events organized by The Order of Jesters. They run blackmail operations with the purpose of seducing people in power...With those videos in their power, the careers and the public image of many people are in the Jester's hands. They are free to do anything, they can turn even the President of the United States into a slave."
-- "Jeffrey Epstein Post" [7]
"Illuminati 'FROG ON A LILYPAD' programming: The FROG as a paedophile - with no 'tadpole tail/tale', as in no memory of what he/she has done until they get past 40 years old. It becomes clear that so many people were forced to be paedophiles and to abuse their children - only to wake up to all of this later on - post 40 years old. Then to have Stella Rimington on their doorstep with a videotape - telling them that she will send it to the police if they do not do precisely what she says. The ultimate blackmail weapons combined: A tape of you committing paedophilia - and even worse - incest with your own children. Guaranteed to 'silence' most people for life. The scope of this Illuminati blackmail project has been immense, in British society and it has to be exposed. There is safety in numbers."
"(Sue) Arrigo adds that the kids with the most smarts and/or looks, about 5% are skimmed off the top by the Luciferians in charge like the Bushes and used as either spies or corporate sex slaves or both. They’re typically pimped out on high priced loans to influential politicians as house boy and girls to ensure the puppets in Congress are happy and blackmail-able for control."
"The Masonic leadership of Freemasonry in a given area will have thousands of 'blackmail' files on essentially everyone of importance in their area. Upper echelon people such as judges, lawyers, and politicians are generally controlled via IRS infringements, and many of the lower echelon people are controlled through weird sexual items. This is where the Delta and Beta Monarch slaves are so helpful to the Illuminati. (This information comes from several witnesses who are informed about the blackmail files & their methods for blackmailing.)"
These people are already in power, and have set their system up so that nobody rises to a prominent, powerful, or influential position without being selected, extensively compromised, controllable, and usually under mind control. They are all 'in it together', and because of this they protect eachother. Most have 'insurance' on one another.
"The most common phrase associated with that one was ‘talk about the pot calling the kettle black’, meaning that each Illuminati slave had been caught on camera and from an early age – doing something terrible – as Rimington was fond of saying ‘we are all as bad as each other and all in it together.’"
"Oftentimes when I and others were prostituted to various government (New World Order) leaders, Dante had hidden cameras filming perverse sexual acts apparently for future blackmail leverage. These videos were scandalous in proportion and were usually ordered by Reagan. Dante turned the videos over to Reagan, and covertly kept copies to protect himself. Dante converted a small room of his Beverly Hills mansion into a security vault, where he kept his personal copies of the international blackmail porn tapes there. Blackmail was openly initiated to ensure that each criminal participant understood that if one fell, they all fell. Maintaining 'dirt' on each other through this Mafia-style method was seemingly the only way these criminals implementing the New World Order kept each other 'honest.'"
"The Watergate break-in was strictly based on one thing - the pedophile records that were being kept at the Democratic National Headquarters."
"In 1972, Rothstein arrested one of the five Watergate burglars, CIA operative Frank Sturgis. During a subsequent two-hour interrogation, Rothstein discovered the truth about Watergate (plus Sturgis’ and the CIA’s involvement in the Bay of Pigs incident, and the related assassination of JFK). Sturgis told Rothstein, the Watergate burglars sought something they nicknamed ‘The Book’ which listed the Democratic and Republican politicians who accessed child prostitutes, their sexual proclivities, the amounts they paid to rape kids, etc."
There are certain places known for this, two famous examples being Little St. James island or Bohemian Grove (there are many, many others).
"For those of you who are interested in Bohemian Grove and the current list upon the Internet of those poor unsuspecting 'invitees' who will be pressganged into going (and subsequently blackmailed out of their minds afterwards, by the Illuminati)...the entrapment going on at Bohemian Grove is of an avaricious and esoteric nature - in relation to all of those unlucky 'invitees' who want to join this 'prestigious club' but then get videoed doing things that they wouldn't want anyone to know about - 'guests' who are then subsequently blackmailed out of their brains...and for the rest of their lives. But then that was what the Illuminati cult and their Sat B'hai contract has always been about...promising that you would get everything for nothing (if you agreed to be unquestioningly obedient to the Crown) and that you would now be part of an 'esoteric' prestigious Satanic club."
"Numerous videos are covertly produced at the supposedly secure political sex playground in northern California, Bohemian Grove. High tech undetectable cameras use fiber optics, and fish-eye lenses were in each of the elite club's numerous sexual perversion theme rooms. I was programmed and equipped to function in all rooms at Bohemian Grove in order to compromise specific government targets according to their personal perversions. 'Anything, anytime, anywhere with anyone' was my mode of operation at the Grove. My perception is that Bohemian Grove serves those ushering in the New World Order through mind control, and consists primarily of the highest Mafia and U.S. Government officials. Project Monarch mind controlled slaves were routinely abused there to fulfill the primary purpose of the club: purveying perversion. Bohemian Grove is reportedly intended to be used recreationally, providing a supposedly secure environment for politically affluent individuals to 'party' without restraint. The only business conducted there pertained to implementing the New World Order, through the proliferation of mind-control atrocities, giving the place an air of 'Masonic Secrecy'. The only room where business discussions were permitted was the small, dark lounge affectionately and appropriately referred to as the Underground. The wooden sign was carved to read: 'U.N.DERGROUND'. My purpose at the Grove was sexual in nature, and therefore my perceptions were limited to a sex slave's viewpoint. As an effective means of control to ensure undetected proliferation of their perverse indulgences, slaves such as myself were subjected to ritualistic trauma. Slaves of advancing age or with failing programming were sacrificially murdered 'at random' in the wooded grounds of Bohemian Grave, and I felt it was 'simply a matter of time until it would be me'. Rituals were held at a giant, concrete owl monument on the banks of the Russian River. These occultish sex rituals stemmed from the scientific belief that mind-controlled slaves required severe trauma to ensure compartmentalization of the memory. I witnessed the sacrificial death of a young, dark-haired victim at which time I was instructed to perform sexually 'as though my life depended upon it'. I was told, 'The next sacrifice victim could be you.' The club offered a 'Necrophilia' themed room to its members. I was so heavily drugged and programmed when used in the 'necrophilia' room, that the threat of actually 'slipping through death's door' and being sacrificed 'before I knew it' did not affect me. Other perversion theme rooms at the Bohemian Club included what I heard Ford refer to as the 'Dark Room'. When he not so cleverly said, 'Let's go to the Dark Room and see what develops,' I understood from experience that he was interested in indulging in his perverse obsession for pornography. In the Dark Room, members had sex with the same mind-controlled slave they were viewing in porn on a big screen television. There was a triangular glass display centered in a main through way where I was locked in with various trained animals, including snakes. Members walking by watched illicit sex acts of bestiality, women with women, mothers with daughters, kids with kids, or any other unlimited perverse visual display. I was once brutally assaulted by Dick Cheney in the Leather Room, which was designed like a dark, black leather-lined train berth. There was a room of shackles and tortures, black lights and strobes, an opium den, ritualistic sex altars, a chapel, group orgy rooms including poster beds, water beds, and 'kitten' houses. I was used as a 'rag doll' in the 'toy store,' and as a urinal in the 'golden arches' room. From the owl's roost to the necrophilia room, no memory of sexual abuse is as horrifying as the conversations overheard in the Underground pertaining to implementing the New World Order. I learned that perpetrators believed that controlling the masses through propaganda mind manipulation did not guarantee there would be a world left to dominate due to environmental and overpopulation problems. The solution being debated was not pollution/population control, but mass genocide of 'selected undesirables'."
News 'headlines' with hidden symbolic communication are also used by intelligence and other groups, many times referring to blackmail (among the many other varieties of covert operations).
"'Nuclear' is a comm used all over the world to symbolize extraordinarily explosive information, like blackmail. Which is why if we reconcile blackmail with news about nuclear, a secret truth will become clear. The two most powerful blackmailers ever? That would probably be Jeffrey Epstein and Hugh Hefner. And this is why the deaths of blackmailers like Hugh Hefner and Jeffrey Epstein both coincided with 'Nuclear Accidents':"
08/09/2019 Is Putin covering up a Nuclear disaster?
09/26/2017 Nuclear explosion kept secret by Russia
"Why are CIA blackmailers dying the day after Russia declares nuclear accidents? The reason for the -1 day in Epstein’s case is they likely died before the official day, and these comms were to give agents a heads up on the upcoming BOOM before it hits papers. In Hefners case they had to signal people to move the blackmail. The point as stated is a lot of 'nuclear' is all about blackmail. Not all of it, but a lot of it."
Blackmail is a worldwide 'practice', with all countries and their governments engaging in aquiring and utilizing it to the fullest.
"Just as the 1986 Mirano scandal, the X-Dossiers contain evidence that sexual blackmail operations, whoever is running them, are not limited to the United States. In 1996, X1 reported how the same activities had been going on in Brussels."
"As the bewildered Belgians tried to make sense of what was going on, incredible rumours began circulating that Dutroux might have been protected in some way, that he had friends in high places. Pornographic videos taken from his home were said to feature prominent individuals, one a senior member of the Roman Catholic church. It almost defied belief. Who would protect a psychopath, other than people with something truly terrible to hide?...'It is quite obvious,' said Katarin de Clercq, Belgian coordinator of the pressure group End Child Prostitution Abduction and Trafficking, 'that some people were protecting Dutroux. The government tried to convince us that he was a lone serial killer and psychopath, but now we hear stories about unnamed famous personalities being involved in sex orgies and blackmail and pornographic video tapes. People feel that something is completely wrong here and we have to show we will not tolerate it.'"
"I was unfortunate enough to attend the IHS Templar Castle rite in 2001. Amongst the people in attendence were: J. K. Rowling. Gordon Brown. David Miliband. Stephen Daldry. Stella Rimington (she was the Dr. Mengele of the organisation, organising the torture and murder of kidnapped children). Dr. Joanne Collie. Andrew Marr (he spent most of the time naked and screaming - off his head on some form of narcotic). John Scarlett (he was so drunk/drugged up that he had very little idea of what was going on around him). The Templars had captured a large amount of people whom they called the 'snakes' i.e. slaves in a large dungeon underneath the castle. One brave person managed to set them free and the result in the neighbouring village of Mons and other places nearby, ensured that the British Army had to move in. Thus began the most incredible cover-up in recent European history. It was like WACO, Guyana. I was one of the 'slaves' taken at that castle but subsequently freed by the British Army (who also know what happened - a MASSIVE cover-up). The British Army ordered those in the Castle to come out. They then sent a tank in to bulldoze the walls. Prince Philip and Prince William were in that Castle. Both of them had murdered countless tiny children in their rites. The British Army assembled watched as both walked out with large, dark, woven potato sacks over their heads. They were then bundled into a van and driven away. The name SPUDNIKS was coined because Prince Philip and Prince William had to exit the castle with potato sacks pulled down over their heads and bodies. The British Army present at the time - may or may not have had any idea who they were but the SIS general there, certainly did. They might have managed to cover it up regarding the ordinary soldiers there but the videotapes are now on sale worldwide. The whole event had been closely monitored for blackmail purposes."
The CIA also blackmails incestual/pedophilic parents for their children to use in trauma-based mind control slave projects like MONARCH.
"My Uncle Bob, also implicated in manufacturing the porn, out of apparent desperation informed my father of a U.S. Government Defense Intelligence Agency TOP SECRET Project to which he was privy. This was Project Monarch. Project Monarch was a mind-control operation which was 'recruiting' multigenerational incest abused children with Multiple Personality Disorder for its genetic mind-control studies. I was a prime 'candidate,' a 'chosen one'. My father seized the opportunity as it would provide him immunity from prosecution."
"The expendables are the children of parents who were blackmailed into turning their children over to the CIA. This is all hidden by the power of the National Security Act. These are children, who have been sold by pedophile fathers, or pornographic parents. The programmers/masters program them with the expectation that they will be "thrown from the freedom train" when they get to age 30. (Freedom Train is the code word for the Monarch trauma-based mind-control. To be thrown from the Freedom Train means to be killed.) The CIA and the Illuminati are skilled at blackmailing parents to give up their children. They would watch the mail for porn. Pedophile and murderers who abuse their children are warned that they will go to prison for long lengths of time if they do not cooperate by selling their children into mind-controlled slavery. In return for the parent’s cooperation, they provide rich financial rewards to the parent(s). It’s clearly a case of 'if you don’t cooperate you lose in life big time, if you do cooperate you win big time.'"
Blackmail is the glue holding all of the sick people in charge together, one of the top methods of control. This is the truth. Blackmail, pedophilia, and mind control are how this world is really run.
"Former CIA director William Colby giving advice to John DeCamp, urging him to quit his investigations into the Franklin child abuse affair:"
"'What you have to understand, John, is that sometimes there are forces and events too big, too powerful, with so much at stake for other people or institutions, that you cannot do anything about them, no matter how evil or wrong they are and no matter how dedicated or sincere you are or how much evidence you have. This is simply one of the hard facts of life you have to face.'"
"Again, it’s built in, entrenched foxes guarding the predatory henhouse that permeate all levels of government, military, courts, law enforcement, entertainment and news media, corporate global finance and education. With pedophile puppet masters controlling the pedophile puppet strings of blackmailed, compromised and controlled Western politicians, courts and law enforcement, their diabolical infrastructure has afforded them living above the law continuing to rape and kill our innocents for centuries."

Interview

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKFVLJgfu78&t=9415s
Kikuzakari: Once again, congratulations on your earnest win Maesua HIT!
Senra: THANKSYA!
Kikuzakari: o.o Sorry, is the mic okay? Let's move a little more over here. Hahaha. You're trying to impersonate a baseball player's winning interview?
Senra: Yeah, yeah.
Kikuzakari: But really, congratulations once again.
Senra: Thanks
Kikuzakari: In the match against Snow-san. I know there's been a lot of times where you've lost to Snow-san. This time though, in winners, and both times actually, it was close matches, but you managed to endure. Did you have your counterplay prepared well?
Senra: To begin with, I was good against Mario. I'm pretty decent at the footsies. I'm a player that focuses more on that type of play. So I had the idea that I could do well against Mario. So to be losing up until now, it was pretty tough emotionally. When I sleep, and when I wake up, when I'm brushing my teeth, that's all I think about.
Kikuzakari: I see, that's what it is.
Senra: And what else... Snow-san plays a type of smash that's really compatible with my style. The way he interacts.
Kikuzakari: Definitely, after what you've said.
Senra: That's why, he's a player I look up to. Haha
Kikuzakari: I see. haha Today, in the KO race, you were having a lot of trouble with Snow-san's up smashes. How did you deal with those moments, like there was one where you both upsmashed at the same time and KOed each other (?), what's your thought process there?
Senra: Up smash is scary T_T noooooo~
Kikuzakari: Very simple. But watching it play out, you were very conscious of it, and we could see you baiting out the up smash out of shield for example. Was that part of your counterplay?
Senra: That's right. Well, rather than a counterplay, it's just normal reading, but Snow-kun was throwing out a lot of up smashes, or I put him in a scenario where he had to throw out more. So he make some mistakes and throw out upsmash out of shield. Well, well ,well
Kikuzakari: Haha. You seem happy
Senra: Of course, I am. I've probably entered 80 of these ...
Kikuzakari: ... Well, Maesuma HIT is on its 70th edition right now.
Senra: Hahahahaa. It's my first win.
Kikuzakari: I see, I see. Of course you're happy. What's the next tournament you'll be at coming soon?
Senra: June 17th's Kowllllooon
Kikuzakari: I see, KOWLOON, really left a mark with Senra-senshu's performance there. I'm sure it's an important tournament to you too.
Senra: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I just really like those guys's passion.
Kikuzakari: Yeah, me too. So you'll be showing off your results at KOWLOON with today's polish?
Senra: That's really the plan. I'll do my best.
Kikuzakari: I see you talking about your mental on twitter all the time
Senra: Hahahaha
Kikuzakari: So being able to stay on the top like this, well it's not possible to always be up, but riding the wave.
Senra: Nononono
Kikuzakari: That's a no?
Senra: points up I'm only looking at #1
Kikuzakari: I see. Well that's a good thing, as a player. Always aiming for #1. Today too, while aiming for the top you were able to take it, congratulations once again for winning Maesuma HIT #70.
Senra: Congrats!
Kikuzakari: Congrats!
Kikuzakari: By the way, today is... how is it?
Senra: Is there something?
Kikuzakari: At Maesuma HIT, there's exhibitions.
Senra: Ahh, but lately, they haven't done any.
Kikuzakari: Is that so? Maybe it depends on the time. How is it I wonder?
Senra: I want to spar with Maedakun
Kikuzakari: How's an exhibition?
...
Kikuzakari: Ooooh, we'll do it! That's great, Sen-chan!
Senra: Oooooh! I've always looked up to this!
Kikuzakari: Of course you'd want to. By the way, besides Jigglypuff, lately, you've tried Lucina, and Wario. Regarding your characters, you mentioned earlier about reading and footsies, I've been thinking you have more fighters available now, but how is it?
Senra: Eh? Those characters suck. Well, Lucina is strong, but... compared to Jigglypuff, there's something missing.
Kikuzakari: Well, if we're talking about Senra-san, it's that Jigglypuff is strong.
Senra: mmm well that may be.
Kikuzakari: It is. Well, today's exhibition, I don't know what it will be with the character picks, it's something between Senra-san and Maedakun. I look forward to it.
Senra: Yes! Yes ! Yes! I'll do my best
Kikuzakari: After the exhibition, there'll be another interview
Senra: For real?
Kikuzakari: For real
Senra: For real
Kikuzakari: For real. You know, it's tough matching your pace ahahaha
Senra: I see :D
Kikuzakari: I'm a more serious guy so
Senra: Well, I'll be more serious for you then, Kiku-san
Kikuzakari: Then please, thanks.
(stands up straight)
Senra: Thanks.

(Last stock last hit, Senra kills Maedakun with a Rollout coming in from off stage)
Maedakun: Rollout is trash.
Kikuzakari: That's all you had to say? Then, congratulations to Senra-kun for taking the exhibition too.
Senra: Thanks, thanks
Kikuzakari: Uh, why did you use Rollout?
Senra: Well, Rollout, after all, is the move I believe in the most
Kikuzakari: Believe in!? You only used it once in the tournament Hahahaha
Senra: Hahahaha, no, I just really felt like it. There's a lot of Zeldas on smashmate, right? Just a habit from that.
Kikuzakari: Maedakun is pressing the bad button off camera here. Haha. But in the match, Maedakun is a real tricky one, right?
Senra: Really is.
Kikuzakari: Right? There was that point in the middle of the match too. He's serious, it's an exhibition, and it's a bo1, but Meadakun really reads the person. In neutral, he really tries to pull one. You really can't experience this if you're not the champion.
Senra: For real. I've always looked up to this moment, watching online Maesuma.
(some jokes I don't understand, sorry)
Kikuzakari: Maesuma has a storied history. Well, you don't intend to end it as the champion like this right?
Senra: Yep
Kikuzakari: Next week, you'll be here too right?
Senra: Of course, of course
Kikuzakari: Then next time will be a defending battle.
Senra: Not at all.
Kikuzakari: Eh? You won, so you're defending.
Senra: No, not at all
Kikuzakari: That's unexpectedly mild mannered of you
Senra: Well, I haven't beaten Ryuoh-kun yet.
Kikuzakari: Ah, you want to get a win on Ryuoh-kun
Senra: Hiiiiiii, I can't beat him
Kikuzakari: mhm
Senra: I can't beat him, so I want to beat him
Kikuzakari: I see. The next Maesuma HIT will be beating Ryuoh-kun and winning it.
Senra: And Yoshidora and acola too.
Kikuzakari: There's a lot more goals to beat coming here.
(Maedakun off mic)
Kikuzakari: ooooh, acola-kun will be coming by soon.
Senra: Ah, it's because I won then. Haha
Kikuzakari: That might be. Haha Can't let him be the champion. He'll be coming swinging that up tilt. Or maybe it will be electric.
Senra: That's a bit gruesome.
Kikuzakari: Haha. Well, either way, there's lots of players you want to beat so we'll continue to watch over you. Congratulations once again to Senra-senshu on winning Maesuma HIT #70
Senra: Thank you
Kikuzakari: Good luck next week too
Senra: I'll do my best
Closing remarkSenra: Congrats to Senra for winning without losing a set, etc.
Maedakun shows up. Talks about how his symptoms were across his face, like 20 hours ago, but they're not visible anymore so he came by. He's afraid if he does too much, the symptoms will worsen, so he's taking it easy. He'll leave commentary to Kikuzakari, and Lucia, but he's been behind the scenes today.
He'll be heading out to Hiroshima next week for the Itsukushima tournament to play, as some time off before Maesuma TOP, and then a week after too, so less online tournaments, etc. Talks about working on more creative aspects more, etc. during this time.
He wants to do his best when he tries something, but he doesn't want to overdo it, so lately it hasn't been his best.
Mainly he's okay right now and he's gonna do less to be less overworked.

2023.06.01 22:25 Block-Busted Is AI going to cause the complete extinction of mankind like how it did in 'Terminator' series very soon?

Look at these articles:
Artificial intelligence could lead to extinction, experts warn
Artificial intelligence could lead to the extinction of humanity, experts - including the heads of OpenAI and Google Deepmind - have warned.
Dozens have supported a statement published on the webpage of the Centre for AI Safety.
"Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war" it reads.
But others say the fears are overblown.
Sam Altman, chief executive of ChatGPT-maker OpenAI, Demis Hassabis, chief executive of Google DeepMind and Dario Amodei of Anthropic have all supported the statement.
The Centre for AI Safety website suggests a number of possible disaster scenarios:
  1. AIs could be weaponised - for example, drug-discovery tools could be used to build chemical weapons
  2. AI-generated misinformation could destabilise society and "undermine collective decision-making"
  3. The power of AI could become increasingly concentrated in fewer and fewer hands, enabling "regimes to enforce narrow values through pervasive surveillance and oppressive censorship"
  4. Enfeeblement, where humans become dependent on AI "similar to the scenario portrayed in the film Wall-E" Dr Geoffrey Hinton, who issued an earlier warning about risks from super-intelligent AI, has also supported the Centre for AI Safety's call.
Yoshua Bengio, professor of computer science at the university of Montreal, also signed.
Dr Hinton, Prof Bengio and NYU Professor Yann LeCun are often described as the "godfathers of AI" for their groundbreaking work in the field - for which they jointly won the 2018 Turing Award, which recognises outstanding contributions in computer science.
But Prof LeCun, who also works at Meta, has said these apocalyptic warnings are overblown tweeting that "the most common reaction by AI researchers to these prophecies of doom is face palming".
'Fracturing reality'
Many other experts similarly believe that fears of AI wiping out humanity are unrealistic, and a distraction from issues such as bias in systems that are already a problem.
Arvind Narayanan, a computer scientist at Princeton University, has previously told the BBC that sci-fi-like disaster scenarios are unrealistic: "Current AI is nowhere near capable enough for these risks to materialise. As a result, it's distracted attention away from the near-term harms of AI".
Oxford's Institute for Ethics in AI senior research associate Elizabeth Renieris told BBC News she worried more about risks closer to the present.
"Advancements in AI will magnify the scale of automated decision-making that is biased, discriminatory, exclusionary or otherwise unfair while also being inscrutable and incontestable," she said. They would "drive an exponential increase in the volume and spread of misinformation, thereby fracturing reality and eroding the public trust, and drive further inequality, particularly for those who remain on the wrong side of the digital divide".
Many AI tools essentially "free ride" on the "whole of human experience to date", Ms Renieris said. Many are trained on human-created content, text, art and music they can then imitate - and their creators "have effectively transferred tremendous wealth and power from the public sphere to a small handful of private entities".
But Centre for AI Safety director Dan Hendrycks told BBC News future risks and present concerns "shouldn't be viewed antagonistically".
"Addressing some of the issues today can be useful for addressing many of the later risks tomorrow," he said.>
Superintelligence efforts
Media coverage of the supposed "existential" threat from AI has snowballed since March 2023 when experts, including Tesla boss Elon Musk, signed an open letter urging a halt to the development of the next generation of AI technology.
That letter asked if we should "develop non-human minds that might eventually outnumber, outsmart, obsolete and replace us".
In contrast, the new campaign has a very short statement, designed to "open up discussion".
The statement compares the risk to that posed by nuclear war. In a blog post OpenAI recently suggested superintelligence might be regulated in a similar way to nuclear energy: "We are likely to eventually need something like an IAEA [International Atomic Energy Agency] for superintelligence efforts" the firm wrote.
'Be reassured'
Both Sam Altman and Google chief executive Sundar Pichai are among technology leaders to have discussed AI regulation recently with the prime minister.
Speaking to reporters about the latest warning over AI risk, Rishi Sunak stressed the benefits to the economy and society.
"You've seen that recently it was helping paralysed people to walk, discovering new antibiotics, but we need to make sure this is done in a way that is safe and secure," he said.
"Now that's why I met last week with CEOs of major AI companies to discuss what are the guardrails that we need to put in place, what's the type of regulation that should be put in place to keep us safe.
"People will be concerned by the reports that AI poses existential risks, like pandemics or nuclear wars.
"I want them to be reassured that the government is looking very carefully at this."
He had discussed the issue recently with other leaders, at the G7 summit of leading industrialised nations, Mr Sunak said, and would raise it again in the US soon.
The G7 has recently created a working group on AI.

President Biden warns artificial intelligence could 'overtake human thinking'
WASHINGTON − President Joe Biden on Thursday amplified fears of scientists who say artificial intelligence could "overtake human thinking" in his most direct warning to date on growing concerns about the rise of AI.
Biden brought up AI during a commencement address to graduates of the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo. while discussing the rapid transformation of technology that he said can "change the character" of future conflicts.
"It's not going to be easy decisions, guys," Biden said. "I met in the Oval Office with eight leading scientists in the area of AI. Some are very worried that AI can actually overtake human thinking in the planet. So we've got a lot to deal with. It's an incredible opportunity, but a lot do deal with."
Scientists, tech execs warn of possible human extinction
Hundreds of scientists, tech industry executives and public figures – including leaders of Google, Microsoft and ChatGPT – sounded the alarm about artificial intelligence in a public statement Tuesday, arguing that fast-evolving AI technology could create as high a risk of killing off humankind as nuclear war and COVID-19-like pandemics.
"Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war," said the one-sentence statement, which was released by the Center for AI Safety, or CAIS, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization.
Biden met May 5 at the White House with CEOs of leading AI companies including Google, Microsoft and OpenA to discuss reforms that ensure AI products are safe before released to the public.
"It is one of the most powerful technologies that we see currently in our time," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said when asked about the extinction fears of scientists. "But in order to seize the opportunities it presents, we must first mitigate its risks, and that's what we're focused on in this administration."
White House launches $140 million in new AI research
The so-called “Godfather of AI” Geoffrey Hinton last month left his job as a Google vice president to speak freely about his concern that unexpectedly rapid advances could potentially endanger the human race. Others portrayed Hinton’s assessment as extreme and unwarranted.
Asked at a recent panel when asked what was the “worst case scenario that you think is conceivable,” Hinton replied without hesitation. “I think it's quite conceivable," he said, "that humanity is just a passing phase in the evolution of intelligence.”
The White House unveiled an initiative last month to promote responsible innovation in the field of artificial intelligence with the following actions:
  1. The National Science Foundation will fund $140 million to launch seven new National AI Research Institutes. This initiative aims to bring together federal agencies, private-sector developers and academia to pursue ethical, trustworthy and responsible development of AI that serves the public good.
  2. The new Institutes will advance AI R&D in critical areas, including climate change, agriculture, energy, public health, education, and cybersecurity.
  3. A commitment from leading AI developers to participate in a public evaluation of their technology systems to determine if they adhere to the principles outlined in the Biden administration’s October 2022 Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights.
  4. The initiative includes new Office of Management and Budget (OMB)] policy guidance on the U.S. government’s use of AI systems in order to allow for public comment. This guidance will establish specific policies for federal agencies to ensure that their development, procurement, and use of AI systems centers on safeguarding the American people’s rights and safety.

Experts are warning AI could lead to human extinction. Are we taking it seriously enough?
Human extinction.
Think about that for a second. Really think about it. The erasure of the human race from planet Earth.
That is what top industry leaders are frantically sounding the alarm about. These technologists and academics keep smashing the red panic button, doing everything they can to warn about the potential dangers artificial intelligence poses to the very existence of civilization.
On Tuesday, hundreds of top AI scientists, researchers, and others — including OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman and Google DeepMind chief executive Demis Hassabis — again voiced deep concern for the future of humanity, signing a one-sentence open letter to the public that aimed to put the risks the rapidly advancing technology carries with it in unmistakable terms.
“Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war,” said the letter, signed by many of the industry’s most respected figures.
It doesn’t get more straightforward and urgent than that. These industry leaders are quite literally warning that the impending AI revolution should be taken as seriously as the threat of nuclear war. They are pleading for policymakers to erect some guardrails and establish baseline regulations to defang the primitive technology before it is too late.
Dan Hendrycks, the executive director of the Center for AI Safety, called the situation “reminiscent of atomic scientists issuing warnings about the very technologies they’ve created. As Robert Oppenheimer noted, ‘We knew the world would not be the same.’”
“There are many ‘important and urgent risks from AI,’ not just the risk of extinction; for example, systemic bias, misinformation, malicious use, cyberattacks, and weaponization,” Hendrycks continued. “These are all important risks that need to be addressed.”
And yet, it seems that the dire message these experts are desperately trying to send the public isn’t cutting through the noise of everyday life. AI experts might be sounding the alarm, but the level of trepidation — and in some cases sheer terror — they harbor about the technology is not being echoed with similar urgency by the news media to the masses.
Instead, broadly speaking, news organizations treated Tuesday’s letter — like all of the other warnings we have seen in recent months — as just another headline, mixed in with a garden variety of stories. Some major news organizations didn’t even feature an article about the chilling warning on their website’s homepages.
To some extent, it feels eerily reminiscent of the early days of the pandemic, before the widespread panic and the shutdowns and the overloaded emergency rooms. Newsrooms kept an eye on the rising threat that the virus posed, publishing stories about it slowly spreading across the world. But by the time the serious nature of the virus was fully recognized and fused into the very essence in which it was covered, it had already effectively upended the world.
History risks repeating itself with AI, with even higher stakes. Yes, news organizations are covering the developing technology. But there has been a considerable lack of urgency surrounding the issue given the open possibility of planetary peril.
Perhaps that is because it can be difficult to come to terms with the notion that a Hollywood-style science fiction apocalypse can become reality, that advancing computer technology might reach escape velocity and decimate humans from existence. It is, however, precisely what the world’s most leading experts are warning could happen.
It is much easier to avoid uncomfortable realities, pushing them from the forefront into the background and hoping that issues simply resolve themselves with time. But often they don’t — and it seems unlikely that the growing concerns pertaining to AI will resolve themselves. In fact, it’s far more likely that with the breakneck pace in which the technology is developing, the concerns will actually become more apparent with time.
As Cynthia Rudin, a computer science professor and AI researcher at Duke University, told CNN on Tuesday: “Do we really need more evidence that AI’s negative impact could be as big as nuclear war?”
https://www.cnn.com/2023/05/30/media/artificial-intelligence-warning-reliable-sources/index.html#:~:text=%E2%80%9CThere%20are%20many%20'important%20and,that%20need%20to%20be%20addressed.%E2%80%9D
Given these, is mankind about to go completely extinct due to AI randomly launching nuclear weapons like how it did in Terminator series very soon? Why or why not?
P.S. There is this comment as well:
People are going to say no because it would be inconvenient, but I don't see what's stopping AI from ending all life in the next couple of years. Alignment is an unsolved problem, and an unaligned AI will most likely try to kill anything it sees as a threat to its mission.

2023.06.01 13:07 rusticgorilla Florida jail officials refuse heart transplant recipient his medication, causing his death; DOJ says Louisiana officers violated law in death of autistic teen

Housekeeping:

Florida

A 54-year-old Black man died after Florida jail officials refused to give him medication that kept his body from rejecting his heart transplant.
Dexter Barry was arrested for misdemeanor assault in November 2022 after allegedly threatening to beat up a neighbor during an argument over wifi access. No actual physical fight occurred. According to body camera footage reviewed by The Tributary, Barry advised an officer at least seven times that he needed his medication to survive. He was booked into Duval County jail, run by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s office.
The next day, Barry reiterated to a judge that he desperately needed his medication:
“I am on medication,” Barry told the judge. “I just had a heart transplant, and I haven’t taken my medicine all day since I have been locked up, and I take rejection medicines for my heart so my heart won’t reject it, and I’m almost two years out.”
Barry also told jail officials while in police custody; they made note of it, but never gave him the drugs.
The medical records, initially obtained by Jacksonville civil rights attorney Andrew Bonderud, show that Barry also told the jail’s healthcare providers about his medications. Barry only received his blood pressure medicine and a drug for cholesterol and his prostate, according to the medicine log.
Bonderud said he believes the jail not giving Barry his anti-rejection medicine “was entirely driven by profit and a profit motive.” Bonderud, who is representing Barry’s family, explained, “Generic cholesterol medication probably isn’t that expensive. But the heart transplant medicine is very expensive.”
Barry died at home three days after being released, having missed at least five doses of the anti-rejection medication.
Dr. Maya Guglin, an Indiana cardiologist on the board at the American College of Cardiology, said organ transplant recipients have to take anti-rejection medications because their bodies view the new organ as an invasion that must be fought off.
“If you just drop those medications, everyone is eventually going to reject that organ,” she said.
Even if medication is restarted, it will be too late, Guglin said.

South Carolina

A South Carolina man is suing the York County Sheriff’s Office after four deputies shot him nine times during a mental health emergency.
Trevor Mullinax was in his pickup truck on May 7, 2021, with a shotgun. His mother, Tammy Beason, was beside the truck talking to him. A family member called 911 to request a wellness check, reporting that Mullinax was suicidal.
Body camera footage shows the moment that deputies arrived on the scene, opening fire within seconds of leaving their vehicles.
“Prior to arriving at the Plaintiffs’ location, Sheriff’s deputies failed to plan, choosing instead to ride in like cowboys from a John Wayne movie, defaulting to using deadly force, immediately, without attempting to deescalate the situation, in complete disregard for State law/regulation, Sheriff’s policies, and/or County ordinances,” the lawsuit states.
According to court documents, the deputies fired almost 50 rounds at Mullinax, striking him approximately nine times, including in the head. The plaintiffs’ attorneys allege this happened despite Beason being in the line of fire and Mullinax having both his arms raised.
York County Sheriff Kevin Tolson has defended the deputies’ actions, claiming that Mullinax picked up the shotgun in his truck and the officers feared for their lives. Three of the deputies who shot Mullinax are still on duty.
“I tell all of my deputies that their goal is to serve the citizens of York County and then to go home safely to their families. Mr. Mullinax chose to put these men in danger by pulling a shotgun. These deputies responded appropriately to the threat as they were trained to do. Had Mr. Mullinax made different choices that day, deputies would not have been required to use force,” said Sheriff Kevin Tolson. “Our ultimate goal is to ensure the safety of the public and our deputies. Regardless of the outcome of this lawsuit, we want to reassure our residents that we will continue to provide high quality and professional law enforcement service.”
Mullinax survived numerous gunshot wounds, including three to his head. After shooting him, the department charged Mullinax with allegedly pointing a gun at them.
Plaintiff Mullinax, who somehow miraculously survived the horrific shooting, has maintained his innocence of the criminal charges brought by Sheriff’s deputies. Plaintiff Mullinax denies pointing, brandishing, or presenting a firearm in any threating manner at Sheriff’s deputies, and Plaintiff Beason, who was present and standing directly beside the vehicle in plain view of Plaintiff Mullinax, maintains Plaintiff Mullinax did not point, brandish, or present a firearm in any threating manner at Sheriff’s deputies.

Louisiana

The U.S. Justice Department filed a court statement accusing Louisiana officers of violating the civil rights of an autistic boy when deputies pinned him to the ground until he died.
Eric Parsa (referred to as E.P. in court documents), a “severely autistic” 16-year-old, was at a Louisiana laser tag event with his parents on January 19, 2020. As the family was leaving the venue, Parsa “began to experience a sudden sensory outburst” in the parking lot.
E.P. began to slap himself in the head, a behavior which is a common physical trait for many persons on the Severe Autistic Spectrum Disorder and is a readily observable manifestation of the person’s disability and anxiety.
Along with other repetitive motions, this repetitive head slapping is sometimes referred to as type of “stimming” and can be an attempt by the person with autism to calm themselves when confronted with frustration, anxiety and/or inability to communicate. It can also be used by the individual as a self-calming or self-soothing technique to try to avert or mitigate the severity of an outburst or as self-injurious behavior. It is a visible sign that the person may be experiencing or is about to experience an outburst.
During this outburst, Parsa began physically struggling with his dad. The manager of the laser tag venue called the police to report there was “a man with his autistic child…in a confrontation” in the parking lot.
Parsa then slapped the first officer to arrive on scene; he was taken to the ground and handcuffed. Deputies kept Parsa in a prone position on the ground, shackled, using their own body weight as a restraint.
The physical restraint of E.P. in JPSO custody began with a 6’3”, very large, over 300-pound deputy taking E.P. to the ground, striking him and then sitting on E.P.’s back, holding him face down, for approximately seven minutes. Eventually there were a total of seven JPSO deputies involved, sitting on, handcuffing, shackling, holding down, or standing by E.P. as he was restrained and held face down on his stomach against the hard surface of the parking lot. The final application of excessive force against E.P. involved a deputy using his forearm to place a choke/neck hold around E.P.’s head, shoulder and neck, as he lay in a prone position, with a deputy on his back, and other deputies holding down his arms and legs, while he was handcuffed and in leg shackles.
Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s deputies sat on Parsa for more than nine minutes, only releasing him after “his body had gone limp and he had urinated on himself.”
9 minutes and 6 seconds. This is how long this extremely dangerous, lifethreatening and forceful prone restraint, involving the use of the deputies’ body weight and holds, mechanical restraints, choke/neck hold, following a period of physical exertion, was applied to an unarmed, obese 16-year-old severely autistic child in the midst of a sensory outburst or meltdown.
During that 9 minutes and 6 seconds, there were several clear and distinct opportunities, when E.P. was secured, was calm, was not actively resisting, when the JPSO deputies failed to de-escalate, failed to appropriately reduce the use of force against E.P., and failed to intervene to prevent the use of excessive force by other deputies.
Once E.P. was handcuffed, they did not roll him onto his side. They did not sit him up or stand him up. They did not secure him in a vehicle. They did not continuously monitor him. Instead, they continued to hold him face down, on his belly, while applying unreasonable and excessive force, resulting in his death. It wasn’t until his body had gone limp and he had urinated on himself that the deputies rolled him into “recovery position.” By then it was too late
Parsa was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. His parents filed a lawsuit against the Sheriff’s office, arguing that the deputies violated Parsa’s First, Fourth, Ninth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights, as well as the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Last week, the DOJ filed a statement of interest agreeing with Parsa’s parents:
Here, the record is replete with facts showing that several Defendants knew about E.P.'s disability before or on arrival to the scene and that others learned of his disability during the encounter…Plaintiffs have also put forth evidence that the deputies, who knew they were responding to a call for assistance with a child experiencing a behavioral health crisis, used force inappropriately to respond to a child’s known disability-related behavior…
Critically, nothing in the briefing suggests that E.P. had a weapon, that officers ever reasonably suspected he had a weapon, or that there was a threat to human life… because abundant facts show that Defendants were on notice of E.P.’s disability, a reasonable jury could conclude that Defendants should have reasonably modified their procedures in restraining E.P.
