2023.06.03 09:43 LawrenceCPTUSA Interesting Interview
Process thus far, wanted to share some information and some insights for my fellow lurkers on here. Sorry for length.
Each agency is different but the biggest issue is honesty. If you find out you made an error on your SF86 it isnāt the end of the world. Be honest about the error and make it easier for the whole process by having evidence in hand to send or show during interview. This forum talks a lot about the whole person concept snd use the interview as a way to discuss what problems you may have had but itās ok to bring up how you have improved. Take ownership of what happened because itās your clearance no one elseās. Honesty is key!! Have additional contacts available because they may have already tried to call collaterals and they were not available. If you have any questions please PM me and Iāll reply as I can.
Timeline 3/16 Job Closed 4/6 Interview 4/21 CJO; TS Clearance Required 5/5 Clearance Coordinator phone meeting to talk about eQIP and quick discussion about drugs and foreign travel. After this meeting eQIP link sent 5/8 eQIP submitted 5/10 eQIP accepted 5/10 agency requires FBI check for my wife, paperwork sent, signed, and returned. 5/11 Soft check on credit report. 5/17 Received email saying fingerprints received and processed. 5/31 Investigator called and set up interview over teams. 6/1 Interview lasted 3 hours. 6/2 People I listed were contacted for meetings with investigator (they called me).
Red flags: Used one THC gummy March 2020, truck and motorcycle repo during divorce 2019/2020. Charge off on 3 credit cards. Total issue $32K.
Green Flags: Previous secret, previous TS for 19 years, public trust, when I ate the gummy it was 3 years after I left federal employment and even though PT was there it was inactive and I wasnāt working. Current job has a law enforcement BI, psych, poly, and I carry a badge (I am not a cop though). No foreign contacts. Zero law enforcement actions. Just bought a house.
First issue was the fingerprints because I had to mail them it took a while to get confirmation they were goo to go.
Interview was 3 hours, investigator was really nice and personable. When he called m to set up interview he said we will talk in depth about financial issues, and foreign travel. He sounded ominous and told me to pull my annual credit report and start working issues.
When I pulled it later in the day I found some items besides my repos that didnāt come up when I bought my house or during my background check for current job. I saw I had three credit cards that were charged off in 2017/2018 and had balances. So I called two of them s d paid them off and got a zero balance letter. The third one I called they sent me to a collections agency and collections didnāt have an account for me. I took screen shots of the website to show no account was present with my info.
Investigator and I start going over the SF86. When finances came up he told me what he had found. He asked why I did not list the charge offs I told him it didnāt come up during home buying and BI for work. I told him I had found the items and whole talking emailed the pay off from earlier in the day and screen shots. I apologized for missing it and told him wasnāt trying to hide it. He was happy I was proactive and had a plan in place. He said I was open and candid about the repos and with all dates around my divorce it was able to ātell a storyā about my fuck up financially.
Take Away, review your annual report it has much more detail than credit apps show. Have a plan in place for red flags, be open and forthcoming on the how and why you have the issues. Have emails, receipts, or screenshots so it shows you give a damn
Drug use conversation was hard because I had never used any drugs previously and because of one gummy I had to talk about it. The biggest take away for anyone reading is he talked about that agencies are having to adapt to the fact weed is legal in a lot of places and they have to look at it differently. I explained I was waiting for my 14th sinus surgery and at the beginning of Covid I couldnāt get into a doc for pain meds (Iām allergic to a lot of over the counter meds) and wanted to try a gummy to see if it would help. It didnāt and I was embarrassed I had even tried it and would never try it again. Because of agency specific timeline a lot of questions didnāt apply because it was out of scope.
***Take Away be honest, donāt down play it and tell your story. Donāt rely on āitās legal whatās the big dealā.
Foreign travel section had an issue because I messed up the date that showed I was in Ireland for a year, but under comments I shared where I was for the 10 days on vacation.
Take Away, double check dates! Use the comments section. If you know you have recent foreign travel make a list of cities, where you stayed (hotel, air B&B, tent). One thing that surprised me the specifics about how many drinks I had each day.
Now the wait continues. I am hoping I will get an interim and be able to start work.

2023.06.03 09:43 JudgeJudyValorant Question about OZORA tickets
I'm considering attending the OZORA festival.
My plan is/was to pay at the gate..
The thing is that they write they only have 2000 tickets to sell at the gate..
At the same time my understanding is that many thousands more than the official number attend this festival.
so my question is:
Do I even have to worry about this? Have you ever seen anyone get rejected from the gate?
and also how important is it to register your ticket beforehand?
Can you not just show up and buy a ticket without registering ?
a sidequestion, are there many people who just go there to get drunk? Have you experienced troublemakers at the festival?
Or are people more friendly than "usual" (usual being normal festivals etc.)

2023.06.03 09:42 FantasyGirl17 Shocked by the level of homophobia, let's have a discussion - civil, please :)
I posted about a potential M/M Benedict storyline (pure FUN speculation on a fan's part) and I was stunned by the level of homophobia on this subthread. And yes, I'm quite comfortable calling it that so if you feel inclined to play devil's advocate, please refrain or offer some actual constructive thoughts. I've been a part of many other subthreads and that's why the level of homophobia here was shocking to me. I am going to be very clear about this because it's not about 'disagreement' or difference of opinions. It's about how homophobia, bigotry and a lot of unconscious biases come through in subtle ways, and in the response to Benedict being potentially gay as an idea, the backlash and also the specific commentary felt quite homophobic. In many ways whether unconscious, deliberate, in denial...whatever it was but it was disconcerting for me, as a straight cis woman, to see the level of animosity directed at even the idea of a M/M romance. All the reasoning for it felt based on "it doesn't fit the regency era to have a gay romance" [what show are we watching...they literally play taylor swift songs and feature interracial relationships which were ILLEGAL until the1970s in the US!!! who knows in the UK i am not a part of that island, but also not even to mention the fact that Black people were not part of the aristocracy they were very much slaves and part of the translantic slave trade so...].
Beyond all this, I wish this subreddit and the passionate fans here could celebrate even the idea of one of the main siblings having a same-sex relationship. Why aren't fans here advocating for that? When everything else that's historically inaccurate has been shown on the on-screen relationships? Do we think an Indian woman and a wealthy, titled white man of the ton (kanthony) would realistically have ever even been allowed to DANCE, let alone be near each other??
And by being 'ok' with the idea of a same-sex relationship - No, that doesn't mean deferring to a 'well lets just do a Brimsely spin-off' or 'lets have another spin-off with gay relationships'. It means truly, and genuinely being okay with continuing with this modern adaptation and RE-TELLING of Julia Quinn's stories to reflect a modern relationship via Shonda Rhimes. Julia Quinn wrote those novels literallyy eons ago when everything under the sun and moon in tv, books, and film was white and the re-imagining we've seen on screen bears no 'literal' resemblance to the novels. Sure, the names and skeleton of the stories and relationships are there, but the reimagining is truly original, and for a reason. Shonda Rhimes has taken the books and given them a 21st century facelift, so I truly do not understand how so many people are adamant that there will be no same-sex storyline. We've already seen interracial relationships in an era where that was quite literally ILLEGAL, mind you the fact that Black women and men were not royal, to say the veryyyy least.
If the idea of a same-sex relationship in this fantasy fictional world truly rubs you the wrong way in some manner, I really really want you to think why and reconsider any biases. And if your response is, well it's not true to the book or the time, then, I want to ask - how much of what we've seen on screen translated is rigidly true to the original books and time. and the answer, imo, is it's quite flexible in Shonda Land. If a Black girl can change race relations in one generation in this fictional fantasy world, then a Bi-Gay boy can change gay relations in one generation as well. If anything, it makes for QUITE the storyline.
Anyways, happy PRIDE!

2023.06.03 09:41 Scary-Story1875 Ghosted, 3 months later
I can tell now that my ghoster never cared about me and it is crazy how people can tell you so many lies (he told he he love me etc and then ghosted me). So a suggestion from my experience is, let them be. They dont care. Not because you have done something wrong, they would have never cared even if you had done all right, even if you had been perfect. So let these mfs go for good. This experience also changed me, it made me stronger. I have stopped being the nice girl with everyone. I will be nice if you deserve it, otherwise I play your game. I will never ghost someone, but I will never be the 'fragile me' again. So guys ghosting sucks but it will help you become a better friend for yourself and a better judge. If ghosting will happen again, I will not be destroyed because now I'm strong and you will be too. I will choose the people to be fragile with and if they delude me I will not be destroyed, that means that they simply dont deserve to know my true self.

2023.06.03 09:40 DisturbedMagg0t Are we actually a problem?
I came across an interesting video that goes into some of the details how more people wanting to get outside and do more outdoors, is detrimental to the longevity of the outdoors.
Because of the massive number of people that aren't prepared, or are not respectful (of others or the land) it seems like many places (in the us at least) are being stretched past their limits.
I never realized it was like this (this goes over more outdoorsy things than just overlanding, but it's something to think about. Seems to me like there is simply no winning in life, and now I'm sad.

2023.06.03 09:40 Himiko_Toga234 How to deal with my FIL
Hey šš» Iām a 25 y/o, FAB, working on my identity so she/they is fine. My fiancĆ© (34) is MAB and pretty masculine in his own sense, goes by he/him but is very accepting on my journey to figuring out how I feel about myself and has no harsh thoughts towards anyone in the community, he hopes one day we can all coexist. His dad on the other hand ā¦. š
I canāt even mention pride month because his dad goes on a whole rant that āThe government fed this trans and gay bs to kids to get them to turn on the conservatives so that the country is divided, making it easier for the big wigs to work behind the scenes and overthrow the country and then one day when youāre in a work camp youāll be wishing you did something blah blah blahā¦ā he also believes the holocaust was fake and religiously watches Alex Jones.
Un-fucking-fortunately, we are having to live with him at the moment after a car accident me and my FiancĆ©e were in until we can get back on our feet. We didnāt know anyone who could get us to work/school and back, so moving in with him for now was the easiest option.
I donāt feel like I should just ākeep quietā about anything to do with Pride or homosexuality in general, but it seems like thatās what Iām going to have to do to get through this..
oh, he also said if his son and mineās daughter ended up āan it, or gayā that none of us are welcome anymore! How loving. Iām sure other people have been in this situation before. How did you handle it?
Thank you in advance.

2023.06.03 09:40 bonusho-le Did my (34ftm) low sex drive kill my chances at a sexual relationship with my partner (33f)?
Moving through a slog of near constant rejection, am I over blowing this?
Alright, this may be long, proceed at your own risk.
Iām at a pretty sticky and uncomfortable point with my partner of nearly 9 years. Iām going to try to provide as much context as possible, because while this situation is ultimately relatively uneventful, itās quite rife with emotional mise-en-scene.
My partner and I are queer, Iām trans and she is a cis woman. I am 34 and sheās 33. We had lived together the entire time weāve known each other, as we met as roommates, and decided to start living apart about 2 years ago. We were moving away from the town we were living in, and she decided to move to the city, while I decided to travel around a bit instead. Unfortunately my vehicle I had planned on living in broke down about 6 months into my travels, so I moved to the same city as her. We had decided that living apart would be a good exercise for us to work on our codependency, especially before potentially venturing into having children together.
Another relevant piece of our history is that we have always maintained a relationship style I would describe as āopenā until this point, which she never really acted on and I rarely did. She had a boundary of me dating/sleeping with women, so primarily extra relationship activities were me sleeping with a cis gay men (this happened about once every 2 years lol). I also have some sexual baggage, and my sex drive plummeted early in our relationship. We would have sex maybe once every two months, and I think when this first happened she experienced this as a great deal of rejection. I was quite disconnected from what was happening in my mind so couldnāt really explain why, but I felt really bad about it. Usually we would end up having sex after a long hard conversation about how hurtful my lack of sex drive was. I was also very uncomfortable with physical affection at this time, and was very withdrawn and unaffectionate. I know this made her feel terrible, and I am sad that my behaviour made her feel this way. We processed it a lot at the time, and since.
Just before we moved away from our town and to separate spaces, she began a flirtatious relationship with a mutual friend of ours. She doesnāt often express attraction to many people, and I could tell she really liked this friend. There hadnāt really been a situation before that we had encountered that had the potential to generate real big romantic feelings outside of our relationship (I donāt tend to have romantic feelings for men) and this activated a very strong fear of abandonment response in me. I freaked out a bit, felt really scared and worried about the stability of our relationship, and discussed this with her, but did not ask her to end the flirtatious/dating relationship. I wanted to move through the jealousy and fear, as I could tell these were more located in me than anywhere else.
That relationship did not pan out, but her attraction for me/desire to have sex with me effectively disappeared at this point. Sheās explained that she feels bad about it, and that it was a drop in her sex drive in general related to a depression, which I can obviously understand, but as of late she is expressing desire for other people/wanting to actively pursue sexual relationships with other people, but still feels no attraction for me. This feels really sad and hard for me, and Iām trying to accept and hold out hope that this can change in the future (as she says she thinks it will) but hearing her be excited about and express desire for other people feels really hard.
Itās been 2 years now since weāve had sexual intimacy, and while we find other ways to be close, I feel like Iām sort of on an endless endurance run of accepting rejection. It doesnāt help that her withdrawal has activated a very anxious and clinging response in me, which Iāve metered A LOT since my first freak out, but is definitely still there. I want to state too that I have not made any requests for her to not pursue these desires of hers, just that it feels painful for me. I also do experience excitement for her, and feel glad that sheās feeling good enough to think of herself as a sexual being again.
I donāt want to be feeling this way, but I simply am for now. It feels like the only thing that makes it tolerable is being able to share with her that Iām finding it challenging and have her hear that, but it definitely also feels like my being emotional about the situation is contributing to my not-sexiness in her eyes. This confirms a deep belief I have about myself, that my emotions that are ābadā or āhardā make me unlovable and undesirable.
She has expressed to me that she is committed to me, and wants to have a family together, and that she believes she will feel desire for me again but beyond that vague sense is not clear. I do understand not knowing how or when desire will return, but itās still feeling like a major slog.
Iām at the point where Iām wondering if I should shift my thinking to just enjoying the platonic nature of our relationship and forgoing the possibility of sexual intimacy, but I fear if I do that at one point she may come around and then we begin the rejection/resentment cycle once again. It has also occurred to me recently that she may be unconsciously retaliating against me for the pain I put her through in my disconnected era.
Sex is not a highly vital part of a relationship for me, but Iām learning that no sex at all does really hurt my feelings. I know what itās like to not feel consistent desire for a partner, and still love and cherish the person, but I never actively desired other people during the times I was more disconnected.
What do we think here? I donāt want to give up but I also donāt want to end up years down the line realizing she will never feel that way for me again, and become resentful for this painful experience. I love her a lot, and have/would endure a lot for this relationship thatās important to me.
I also want to add, obsessing over this has turned me into a joyless SOB and I hate that!!! I used to be fun and I want to be again, but I also want to not just repress my feelings which is my go to.
TDLR; I was distant and disconnected for a long period of my relationship, and now my partner doesnāt want to have sex with me. Should I keep waiting it out and if so, any tips?

2023.06.03 09:40 MarcoServetto Successful high profile assassinations in the early 2000s
This is my first alternative history work, please tolerate my inexperience. I'm open to all kinds of feedbacks
In the final hours of 1999, on the brink of a new millennium, a shocking event sets the stage for a radically different future. Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, and the richest man in the world, is found dead at his sprawling estate in Medina, Washington. The man behind this unthinkable act is his trusted butler who, in an apparent murder-suicide, leaves behind a chilling message: "Repent and donate all that you own, or die in shame. We are the unseen, the unheard, the forgotten. We will not be silenced." The public reels from the shock, and the police scramble to uncover the anarchists' network. But their efforts yield no results. The identity and motives of this anarchist group remain a mystery.
Microsoft, under the leadership of Steve Ballmer, pledges to carry on Gates' legacy and forges ahead, despite a temporary slump in the market. The company reaffirms its commitment to its products and customers. This move stabilizes Microsoft but inadvertently gives a boost to open source platforms and Linux, as some companies and governments, fearing an over-reliance on one company's technology, promote open-source solutions to diversify their options.
In 2000, the world is held in the grip of fear. The secret anarchist group responsible for Gates' death remains elusive, as law enforcement agencies worldwide scramble to unmask them. Heightened security measures are put into place, especially for high-net-worth individuals. Global discourse around wealth inequality and the responsibilities of the wealthy intensifies.
The September 11th attacks occur as they did in our timeline, causing a further global shift towards security and surveillance. The focus on the anarchist group temporarily fades in the wake of this massive terrorist act.
In 2004, another seismic event rocks the world. Warren Buffett, the investment guru, and the second richest man globally, dies in a horrific car crash. The culprit is none other than his personal driver, who planned the crash to end both their lives. The message left behind echoes the sentiment of the first: "Wealth is not a shield. Charity is not a facade. Share or perish." The untraceable nature of these attacks and the cryptic, threatening messages underline the deadly intent of this anarchist group.
In response to these assassinations, several of the world's billionaires, led by tech tycoons Larry Page, Sergey Brin, Larry Ellison, Michael Bloomberg and Carlos Slim form the Global Equity Foundation. They pledge to donate a significant portion of their wealth to combat global poverty and inequality. This massive philanthropic endeavor is geared towards global health and education initiatives. Yet, it seems more like a desperate act of self-preservation than genuine philanthropy.
Simultaneously, a group of ultra-wealthy individuals, led by Richard Branson, take a different approach. They purchase Necker Island, an island in the Caribbean, establishing an independent micro-nation free from the political complexities of their home countries. The island, referred to as "Eden," is fortified with state-of-the-art security systems designed to protect them from the anarchists.
This safe haven, populated by some of the wealthiest people on the planet, offers refuge from the growing threat of the anarchists.
By the end of 2006, society is gripped with a sense of unease. The line between the wealthy and the less fortunate has become a tense battleground. The world waits with bated breath for the anarchists' next move.
In the first week of 2007,Necker Island, owned by Richard Branson in our timeline - is struck by a missile, obliterating everything and everyone on it. The world mourns the loss of several leading business figures and philanthropists. Initial suspicions fall on the anarchist group that killed Gates and Buffet.
As investigators sift through the wreckage, information leaks revealing the true culprits: a secret Russian military unit aiming to destabilize the US economy. The revelation sends shockwaves across the globe, stoking old Cold War fears and bringing the world to the brink of war. The US, under President George W. Bush, declares war on Russia, and the world watches in apprehension as military mobilizations begin for what looks to be the third World War.
Before any attacks are launched, news breaks out of Russia that President Vladimir Putin and three influential Russian oligarchs have been assassinated. Prostitutes, apparently planted by the anarchist group, are identified as the killers. Security guards kill them almost immediately after the assassinations.
In a cryptic message, the anarchists chastise the world powers for accelerating their plans, reasserting control over the narrative and reminding the world of their pervasive influence.
"Do not confuse our roles. We kill, you die. Do not hurry us up. Wait and your turn will come". Another part of the message states
"We do not wish for war, only justice. The innocents of Eden serving the rich were not our targets, but casualties of your greed. We are sorry for their loss, but this is but a dip in the ocean of the damage you are causing."
The message also includes a litany of detailed accusations against prominent global figures, exposing a wealth of crimes and unethical behaviors that were previously hidden or ignored. Among the accused is Silvio Berlusconi, the Italian prime minister, whose alleged misdeeds are laid bare for the world to see.
As 2007 progresses, the world is left in a state of uncertainty and fear. The anarchists seem to be everywhere and nowhere, with the power to target anyone. The impending war is temporarily halted as the world grapples with the revelations from the anarchists' message and the power vacuum in Russia. With the threat of the anarchists hanging over their heads, the powerful and wealthy are forced to reconsider their actions, while the less fortunate find a grim sense of satisfaction in their comeuppance.
But the world doesn't remain a silent observer. As news of the assassinations and the extravagant actions of the rich spread, public sentiment starts to shift. There's a growing call for justice, transparency, and equity. Movements demanding wealth redistribution gain traction, the loudest among them being Italy's Five Star Movement. With the charismatic comedian Beppe Grillo at its helm, the movement benefits immensely from the public outrage against the wealthy, especially following the revelations about Silvio Berlusconi's illicit activities.
In 2008, media tycoon Rupert Murdoch is poisoned, his death leaving a power vacuum in the media industry. The anarchists, in their now customary fashion, claim responsibility for the assassination in a chilling message. They condemn Murdoch's media empire as a tool of manipulation and inequality, and demand that his wealth be donated to nature reserves in Africa and non-profit organizations fighting against illegal and harmful fishing practices in South America. Such wealth is so tainted, they argue, that it should no longer be used to benefit humanity.
The anarchists' message also takes aim at the Global Equity Foundation, the massive philanthropic endeavor established by some of the world's wealthiest individuals. The message accuses several members of the Foundation of continuing to amass wealth instead of fully committing to philanthropy. This marks a clear warning to the global elite - no one is safe, and insincere philanthropy will not protect them.
This alternate timeline presents a world in turmoil. The ultra-rich are no longer invincible, and society begins to question the long-accepted power structures. The narrative also sparks a profound cultural shift. Discussions about wealth inequality, power, and justice dominate public discourse. As the world grapples with the radical changes and anticipates the anarchists' next move, an unsettling question looms large - who's next on the anarchists' list?
In Japan, there is a cultural emphasis on harmony and group success over individual prosperity. While wealth is certainly respected, overt displays of wealth are often frowned upon. In this alternate timeline, Japanese society might view the chaos unfolding in the West with a mix of trepidation and schadenfreude. The government might enforce stricter financial regulations to avoid a similar crisis domestically.
With one of the fastest-growing economies and a huge wealth disparity, India's reaction would be mixed. India's rising tech billionaires and traditional wealthy class might feel threatened and take drastic measures for their safety. Meanwhile, the masses grappling with poverty might feel vindicated and empowered by the anarchists' message.
With its wealth stemming mainly from royal family members and oil magnates, Saudi Arabia reaction would be quite different. The royal family might further consolidate their power and use the ongoing global chaos as a reason to suppress dissent. There could be increased unrest among the populace, and movements for democracy and wealth redistribution might gain momentum.
Scandinavian Countries are known for their strong welfare states and relative income equality. They might respond to these events by further emphasizing their commitment to egalitarian principles, possibly leading to increased taxes on the wealthy and more support for public services. The public discourse might focus on the ethics of wealth accumulation and the responsibilities of the wealthy to society.
With its stark wealth inequality and history of social unrest, Brazil's reaction could be volatile. There could be increased protests and movements calling for wealth redistribution and social reform. At the same time, the wealthy class might double down on their efforts to maintain their power and wealth, leading to greater societal tension.
The years following the assassination of Rupert Murdoch see a sharp turn towards radical socio-political change.
Italy, under the leadership of comedian-turned-activist Beppe Grillo and his Five Star Movement, introduces a novel form of governance, deemed as the 'Economic Equity Referendum.'
This new system allows Italian citizens to vote annually on the forced appropriation of assets belonging to five selected wealthy individuals.
Moreover, citizens are allowed to nominate five additional individuals, with the most nominated names appearing in the following year's referendum.
The move is controversial but reflects the significant shift in public sentiment against extreme wealth accumulation, catalyzed by the anarchist group's actions.
By 2009, Spain, still recovering from the global financial crisis and inspired by Italy's novel approach, decides to implement a similar system. Spain's version of the 'Economic Equity Referendum' aims to redistribute wealth, hoping to bolster its struggling economy.
However, these new policies are met with mixed reactions on the global stage. Some praise these actions as a progressive move towards economic justice, while others view them as an infringement on personal property rights, sparking fierce debates on wealth distribution, economic justice, and individual liberties.
By 2010, the economic landscape has significantly changed. Wealthy individuals and corporations are increasingly cautious, devising new strategies to safeguard their wealth or diverting their investments to countries with more favorable policies. Some begin extensive philanthropic efforts to win public favor, hoping to avoid becoming targets of the economic referendums or worse, the anarchists.
Despite no further assassinations, the fear instilled by the anarchist group still lingers. This, coupled with the disruptive socio-economic changes, fuels widespread uncertainty and tension. Meanwhile, ordinary citizens grapple with these new realities, some welcoming the disruption to the status quo, while others yearn for the stability of the past.
Across the globe, nations observe Italy and Spain's experiments, grappling with the rising demands for wealth equality from their citizens. The actions of the anarchist group and the drastic measures taken by Italy and Spain have set the stage for an era of unprecedented change. The world enters the new decade with apprehension, knowing that the struggle between wealth, power, and justice is far from over.
In 2011, an unimaginable twist in takes place. An international investigation finally uncovers the truth behind the string of high-profile assassinations that have been hitting the globe: all of it was a plot orchestrated by none other than Bill Gates and Vladimir Putin. It's an outrageous revelation that sends shockwaves through the world.
Documents, videos, and testimonies are unearthed, providing irrefutable proof of their involvement. It emerges that Gates and Putin, recognizing the vast inequities and imbalances in the world, believed that a revolution was necessary for true change. But they knew that the world's wealthy and powerful elites would quash any such attempt and simply kill them if they were to seriusly try. Thus, they devised a scheme to subvert the established order.
From 1990 to 1999, they secretly funneled resources into creating and training a clandestine group of individuals. The duo meticulously planned each assassination, devising the perfect circumstances, recruiting the needed personnel, even penning the anarchic messages themselves. They even managed to convince Murdoch's cook and Buffett's driver to join their cause. In essence, Gates and Putin willingly orchestrated their own deaths to catalyze a global transformation.
The discovery of the secret hideouts and the apprehension of several group members corroborate this stunning revelation. The anarchists were, in reality, pawns in a grand design concocted by Gates and Putin.
The revelation sparks a global uproar. Public opinion is polarized. Some view Gates and Putin as martyrs who sacrificed themselves for a noble cause. Others see them as manipulative puppet masters who plunged the world into chaos to fulfill their vision. In either case, the world is left to grapple with the consequences of their actions.
As the shocking news spreads, nations across the globe face a common question: how to move forward in the wake of this revelation? The chaos initiated by Gates and Putin has already triggered a cascade of socio-economic transformations. Now, it's up to the world to decide whether to carry forward this radical change or attempt to restore the old order. But one thing is clear: the world as we know it will never be the same again.
User
The years following the revelation of Gates and Putin's orchestrated upheaval unravel a tapestry of international responses, further accentuating the economic, social, and political diversities worldwide.
In the United States, the shockwave from the revelation instigates an intense national debate on wealth and power dynamics. The US sees a surge in progressive movements pushing for economic justice and wealth redistribution. A strong response from the wealthier class culminates in an aggressive lobby for protection of assets and personal freedoms. By 2015, the US Congress introduces the 'Wealth Protection Act', aiming to protect the rights and assets of individuals. The act has a polarizing effect, leading to widespread protests and, in some cases, riots.
Meanwhile, in Europe, reactions differ considerably between nations. Germany responds by tightening regulations on wealth accumulation and increasing transparency in financial transactions. The UK, however, initially resists change. By 2013, the pressure for reform, both domestically and internationally, leads to the introduction of the 'Fair Wealth Act', which aims to address wealth inequality through tax reforms and increased public spending.
China sees this as an opportunity to exert its influence on the world stage. Emphasizing stability and prosperity, the Chinese government undertakes an extensive international diplomatic campaign. It advocates for a balanced approach to wealth management and presents its model of state-controlled capitalism as an alternative. By 2017, China becomes a more dominant player in global economics.
In contrast, several countries in Africa and South America seize the opportunity to address endemic issues of inequality. Nations such as South Africa and Brazil begin implementing strict wealth regulation laws. In many cases, these are coupled with substantial investments in education, healthcare, and social services, aimed at reducing poverty and improving quality of life.
Australia and Canada, known for their relatively high levels of social equity, undertake balanced measures. They introduce policies to moderate wealth accumulation, while also ensuring protections for personal freedoms and property rights.
By 2018, the world is markedly different. The years following the revelation of Gates and Putin's plot witness an unprecedented global shift in attitudes towards wealth and power. It's a world that is trying to find a balance between economic justice and individual freedom, between stability and change, and most importantly, between the visions of two men who sacrificed themselves to spark a revolution, and the reality of the complex, diverse world they left behind.

2023.06.03 09:39 illarraza Came upon this experience by a former SGI member
"One girl I knew, who was a good person, got lured into SGI, and was really into it. She ended up getting sick, and refused a lot of early medical treatment, as she thought she could get healed by Chanting. Didn't work, she got worse and worse. Then she finally got into medical treatments, too late, and literally had hundreds of people Chanting for her to heal. She died, and left behind her kids. They don't tell those anecdotes, those who have hundreds of SGI followers Chanting for them, and die a pretty horrible death in a few months."
Well that has been the way of things for years! - and when things go wrong and people lose out, lose their lives, livelihoods, homes and even their sanity that ain't going to get reported cos anything that might make it appear that SGI bubble of faith and Daimoku to gain anything, to have any prayer answered, and to have all earthly desires fulfilled... might burst, well that might have people thinking and questioning and leaving in droves. I recall Dick Causton saying that folks should remember that all prayers will be answered and that the answer will sometimes be NO! It's funny how common sense goes out the window when folks are told to chant and seem to end up in the world of rapture and can't see anything other than Fluffy Bunny Buddhism, forgetting that In Rapture the bubble bursts ever so quickly and can drop you on your ass!
I have seen exactly this pattern of denial of ill health and subsequent death with loads of folks chanting for a miracle many times! It's like the SGI Italy members setting up Gohonzons next to TV sets so that they could chant and watch the soccer world cup final in 1994 and chant for Roberto Baggio to score the winning goal for Italy and QED prove that Nichiren Buddhism had some form on Mystical Power over the result. Some may recall that the final went to a penalty shoot out and Italy Lost with Baggio missing his penalty and loosing Italy the world Cup! In Italy I also saw Benefit Junkies organizing Daimoku Tozos to chant to have a miracle when some one was found to be in end stage cancer after they had refused to consult doctors and just sat home chanting. The mass search for Benefits was staggering with literally tens of thousands of folks in concerted tozos all demanding proof from someone who had already set up their own death.... and after they died many being very callous and stating that they died because they lacked faith and in any case all that daimoku was going to be of great benefit and they were just waiting for their personal payout in the shares and from their investment in Daimoku Inc!
It's sad that supposed leaders (in reality folks who have been told that they are "Leaders" with no quality control and then make it up as they go along ) go about telling folks that they just need to chant whilst their leg is half cut off and they are bleeding to death. Some will find such actions and ideas impossible to accept as occurring within SGI but to those who have seen them they are unforgettable. Even leaders have not been immune from such aberrant attitudes and behaviors and as a result have died - with some referring to it as Suicide by Daimoku!
I recall one set of events where some leaders (who I repeatedly referred to as "Persons With A Responsibility - Formally referred to as Leaders") went well beyond the limits and caused havoc for a number of people. A New Member showed Up who was quite a wealthy Business Woman - She had a number of businesses some of which she wanted to sell. This Woman started to hawk these businesses about to SGI members and the local leadership first allowed it and then encouraged it. Certain members who were having major personal problems with everything from marriage to debt were encouraged to buy businesses from her, which some foolishly did. Anyone who spoke out about this was immediately labelled as a breaker of unity and totally against Nichiren and the SGI.
Folks went out and borrowed money, put their houses up as collateral and bought into the Leaders ongoing views that all that had to be done was chant more and more and evidently as this woman was selling businesses to SGI members whilst she herself was becoming a member the whole thing was perfect and universally ordained.
One family asked me for advice about buying a Food Outlet - It appeared to me a gold mine as it was within about 100 metres of a new shopping complex that was under construction. The Only Down side was it was on the wrong side of the road, a very busy road and there were vacant shop units better placed to provide the service on the other side of the road. The family was advised to get a commercial lawyer to draft a full contract including clauses that prevented the woman from starting a similar business within 1000 meters of the original business for 5 years, that full disclosure of accounts were to be made and that specific contracts as to the building, it's contents, and maintenance would also be made as the woman was selling the business but retaining ownership of the building. All of the advice was ignored and they just went ahead and bought the business, lease on the building, and started to sell food as hard as possible. When they were asked why they had not undertaken the most basic of actions and set up the most basic of protections for a commercial venture they explained that when they had raised these issues with leaders they had been told that such actions would simply show that they lacked faith and they were better off chanting and having faith than consulting a lawyer or spending time and money on legally enforceable contracts.
A few weeks after they were tied in with their house on the line the woman opened a new food outlet across the road and the customer numbers dropped to virtually Zero. They objected and were told there was nothing they could do.. and then they went bankrupt and lost the business, their home and just about everything they had. Throughout, the leaders were 100% supporting this woman in disposing of business to SGI members and of the members buying these businesses and yet these leaders had zero knowledge or experience in commercial trading, contracts and business management. When this was raised as an issue that should bar them from being involved in any way with anyone who was entering into a business situation they responded that they did not need anything other than Daimoku and Faith. They were also a little pissed off when they were asked to explain why they had not taken up one of these business opportunities if all that was required was Daimoku and Faith and they were unable to answer.
I also recall working on an exhibition in Italy between SGI and The Italian Committee for Refugees. The Exhibition dealt with Yugoslavia and the breakup and Genocide. I had been asked to design and build the exhibition so that it could tour Italy. The First place on the tour was Venice and the transport co-ordinator could not understand that we were obliged to hire a boat to transport the exhibition from mainland Italy to then venue in the heart of Venice. Their view was that all of the parts of the exhibition, some over two metres long and very heavy would be carried on foot across a causeway and through Venice and this was great opportunity for members to be involved in activities. When it was pointed out that first it was illegal to do this, second dangerous to have literally hundreds of people handling unfamiliar equipment and that it was also highly likely that the exhibition itself would be damaged - well that was met with incredulity at the idea that hundreds of SGI members chanting and holding Tozos for the exhibition would not protect it and even not be needed or welcome. It was odd that they just could not get it that legally it was not possible and that it had to be done in line with the law of the land. Oddly when the leader of this aberration was questioned as to whether they had car insurance or if they just chanted to not need it they were shocked and stated of course I have car insurance - That's the law! It would seem that when folks decide that they are to do something so that they can get their quota of benefits they hate having it pointed out to them that they can't just ignore reality and hope for the best!
That so much odd behavior makes it appear that SGI is a Cult - or at best filled with individuals who seem programmed to exhibit cult Like behavior - one has to wonder why SGI in all it's forms does not advise against such aberration and even protect people from it internally!
For some they will simply invent Nichiren Buddhism in their own image, to service their own needs and to fill massive gaps that exist in their own minds and lives. What I have seen when this occurs is evil. Having reported the situations and what is occurring to national leaders/employees of SGI, I was not too surprised that the aberrations verging on mental instability are supported. Anyone questioning one with the title of leader is seen as evil and shunned! It would seem that SGI is an organization that is programmed to self destruct under the mental aberrations of its employees and top leaders. It would also seem that their dogma will eventually be run over by their karma and one has to wonder how they will react when this happens - will they seek first aid and medical attention or simply lie on their backs and chant as they discorporate." -- Robert

2023.06.03 09:37 inayatdawg This is a tier list on how many times a brawler has been a top 10 option in a meta! From my experience from playing over 4 years! Feel free to disagree!
2023.06.03 09:36 pineapple_juice234 Are they ever genuine?
So, my mom has a lot of traits of covert narcissism and traumatised me and my brother to the point he was diagnosed with BPD and I'm with a depressive disorder. Shit went down about 2/3 years ago and our family fell apart. My brother was often emotionally hostile towards my mom, because of her toxic behavior, and she would then give him the silent treatment, guilt trip him and be hella passive agressive after those emotional outbursts, doesn't matter how many times he apologised or cried his eyes out over it. She left our family to live in a trailer, divorced my dad and me brother went NC with her(I believe she is literally scared of him because he screamed the truth in her face). Ever since she has been "too" nice to me. She buys me presents a lot. She also used to do that right before she left our family. She would buy me something and have this sneaky grin on her face while saying "Your mum sure is good for you, huh?". It gave me serious icks. She and I used to fight a lot and she always pulled the victim card. Whenever I did something she didn't like she made sure of it that I felt her resentment towards me. Always complaining, looking angry at me, being super passive agressive, refusing help to later just complain about us and how we make her life miserable. But over the past 2 years since she left, she has been acting like this innocent mother being super sweet to her daughter. Texting me multiple times a day (I live with my dad), buying me stuff at least once a month, complimenting me and saying how great I am and whatnot. I don't know whether this is genuine or that she just needs me as this validation object for her role as "good mother". Or does she want me to realise she is better than my dad so I will decide to live with her(I'm 19)? Maybe some of you see similarities in your own story and can maybe give me some insight on her behavior. Thanks a lot for reading :)

2023.06.03 09:35 KamiWanderer The Gender Clinic T experiences
Hey all, at the beginning of the year I had an assessment with Dr.Anderson (online) with The Gender Clinic. I was having this so I could finally get a referral for Top Surgery, it went really well and Dr.Anderson was great! (Although expensive...) My question though- I'm thinking of going back for a follow up appointment to ask about T-gel, the thing im not clear on is how does the process go on from there? Would I then go see a private endocrinologist through them and how many more costs would be involved? (Follow up appointments are £350 already!) Also, when you eventually get your prescription, can you start getting it from your normal pharmacy?
Just thought Id ask here to see if people could share their experiences getting T through The Gender Clinic and what the costs were like.

2023.06.03 09:34 Pineapple_tart_10 Why should LGBT doctors feel lonely and have uneventful dry lives š¤·š»āāļø?
Being a millennial woman, I only found reditt earlier this year and it opened a "portal" to whole new world world to me where I could make good friendships with couple of people from various backgrounds online, whom I wouldn't have met in real world otherwise.
And not being a snob here but as bisexual n doctor myself, often times I felt, doesn't matter how many friends you have, with sexuality being centre piece of human life regardless of any variable, I realized it often feels lonely when you don't have friends or acquaintances among same professional community who can vibe with "that" side of yours.
I got lucky finding my LGBT tribe on reditt. And of late, I've also got greedy to go ahead with finding doctors who share same "madness" as me. So, I figured I would come up with this exclusive subreditt for queer docs to make friends, share views, ideas, experiences and probably even find dates without fear of being judged or prejudiced against. The whole idea is for queer doctors of not just India but be inclusive and let those of beyond borders to be seen and feel welcomed and celebrated doesn't matter how miniscule of size of demographic group we're. Needless to mention, "larger the poolšš...."
OK, here, come and join

2023.06.03 09:34 Fair_Push_2780 Coming to terms with the fact that my experience actually was COCSA
tws for sexual abuse obviously
Anyways, my entire life I have brushed off what happened to me as a 'toxic friendship' or just 'me being a pushover'. But the truth is that I was manipulated and assaulted by my only friend growing up for several years. The biggest reasons why it's really hard for me to accept that it's not my fault is because she was a year younger than me and I never outright refused.
When I was a child I was very shy and withdrawn. I always had very few friends, especially during my younger elementary years. When I was 8 years old I rode the schoolbus and we had assigned seats. Halfway through the year the bus driver switched up our seats and I ended up next to a girl in the grade below me who we'll call M. For context, I'm also a girl. She was extroverted, kind, and the only person who had succeeded in getting me out of my shell. We had the same bus stop, so we lived close to eachother, and became fast friends. That first year was fine from what I remembered. Most of my freetime was spent riding my bike to her house and spending time there, or biking together to the creek. One thing though that I'll always regret is that I lied about her being my cousin to my classmates and teacher. Sometimes she'd follow me to class but I was embarrassed about my only friend being younger than me, so I said she was my cousin. I promise this detail is relevant later.
Looking back she was definitely groomed / abused by someone else either irl or online. M was a very normal friend until about a year after we met. She started acting off. More childish (like, toddler level tantrums if things didn't go her way) and more secretive. I don't really remember how it started, but at some point she started showing me porn. She said she really liked watching it and wanted me to see too. I didn't really like it, but at the time I genuinely didn't see the harm in it. Thing's escalated into her touching herself while watching it near me which I really didn't like and would protest against, but she'd have a fit over it and threatened that she'd tell her mom I was the one showing her those videos.
I don't know when exactly she started touching me. I do remember that she told me 'having sex will increase your lifespan by ten years everytime you do it' and that she wanted us to 'be immortal together'. I was extremely sheltered and impressionable, so at nine years old I believed her.
When we got a little older I entered middle school a year before her and had a really great year. I made a close friend that wasn't M who was actually good for me. M hated this and was extremely jealous and upset that she'd been left behind in elementary. I tried to make my two friends get along because I wanted us all to be happy together, but instead M caused a huge rift between us all. She said that if I didn't stop being friends with the new girl she'd tell everyone about what we do together.
So I cut the new friend off. Things got really bad when M entered middle school with me, 12-14 were some of the worst years of my life. M had always bragged about using Omegle and talking to guys on Kik, but I always shut down the idea. In middle school I was having a hard time at home (financial troubles, druggie parents). So I was rather affection starved, and when M started trying to persuade me to go on Omegle with her I finally gave in.
I don't want to go into details about this part for obvious reasons. We'd go on Omegle together and seek out pedophiles (we were very young and looked it), shoddily lie about being '18' (they knew), and then do whatever these freaks wanted on cam. M was willing to do anything, but most stuff made me uncomfortable. This was when M started threatening more serious stuff. Like that she'd stop being my friend, or show everyone nudes she'd forced me to take, or even off herself if I didn't do the things she wanted. It was mostly just stripping, but sometimes they wanted us to do stuff with eachother which was the absolute worst.
My breaking point was when these men were no longer anonymous, and instead M was encouraging them to give us their Kik. That started a horrible year of everything being an unspoken competition of who could be more well-liked by the pedos we were appeasing. M stopped doing sexual things with me at this point other than for the pleasure of these men. The attention I recieved simultaneously was fulfilling and made me feel sickeningly disgusting and guilty. M became genuinely insufferable in the way she was always trying to make herself seem cuter, dedicating all her time to chatting with and sending pics to these men, and always emphasizing that she was younger than me. I was 14 when I found out I'd be moving several counties away. At the time M was my only friend, so I decided I just wouldn't tell anybody about the move and never have to deal with her again. So that's exactly what I did. I moved away and ignored all her dms and desperate attempts to find out what happened to me (like messaging my mom on facebook over and over.)
For a long time I lived in a constant state of paranoia that she'd leak innapropriate pictures / videos of me as revenge, or that she'd come forward with this story but twist it around to blame me. Now, here is the cousin part coming back around; All that time growing up a big part of why I told nobody is because it would mean admitting I lied about us being cousins, and I thought if people knew I lied about that they'd think I was untrustworthy and not believe my story.
This has effected me in many, many ways to this day. I'm bisexual but cannot fathom being in a sexual relationship with a woman. I have desires to be a streamer, but I've never gone after them because I'm terrified that CP of me is out there and somehow someone will recognize my face and link it to me now. I feel immense guilt around sex, pleasure, and porn. The mere mention of Omegle and Kik makes me very nervous, especially in the context of "LOL everyone in gen z was groomed on Kik as a kid xD." I've never tried to figure out where she is now, I don't care. I hope she got the help she needed to become a better person but I don't wanna hear about it. I've never told anyone this, ever. My friends vaguely know that some stuff happened to me online as a kid, but they have no idea about M. I feel an immense amount of shame around this that it was all caused by me being a timid pushover as a kid. Anyways. . . . 5 billion words of trauma dumping later, I'm going to post this and then go to sleep to ignore my anxious nausea.

2023.06.03 09:33 kindalosingmyshit I almost got a DUI tonight
Donāt worry, this is funny more than anything else. I donāt know that Iād call myself an alcoholic but I certainly have a problem from time to time. This is hilarious and also probably scared me straight for a while.
Anyway. I went to the bar with my friend earlier, we went and got dinner and drinks, then hung out in town for another couple hours before parting ways. A block from my apartment I get pulled over and my life is flashing before my eyes. The officer tells me my taillights are out, Iām likeā¦my carās been in the shop, I donāt know how to turn them on, theyāre automatic and Iāve never had to change them. Super embarrassing. He sticks his head in my car and figured out how to turn them back on for me. He takes my license and all that, comes back, and goes, ākindalosingmyshit, have you been drinking tonight?ā He had follow up questions. I wasnāt honest but I wasnāt dishonest either. I told him Iād gone out for dinner and drinks with my friends about six hours ago, my last drink was maybe 3-4 hours ago, I only had 2-3 drinks (I had 8).
He asks me to exit my vehicle and if Iāll comply with some tests, Iām like yeah sure officer, whatever you need. So Iām outside, in front of three cops, doing all these little tests. One of them was walking a straight chalk line and counting my steps out loud, I was told specifically to watch my feet while I did this. I do that and some other tests and the officerās like, āhey, I agree that youāre good to be driving, you did well on all of these and I see no reason to be concerned.ā The other two agree and fuck off. The officer sends me back to my car, gives me a warning for my lights, and says something about how he appreciated my honesty and compliance, they take DUIs very seriously, yadda yadda. He sends me on my way.
I get home, and yāallā¦the whole time, my shoes were on the wrong feet.
