According to the Energy Information Administration, a federal statistical agency, combined wind and solar generation increased from 12 percent of national power production in 2021 to 14 percent in 2022.
Hydropower, biomass, and geothermal added another 7 percent - for a total share of 21 percent renewables last year.
Natural gas remained the top source of electricity in the U.S. - its share rose from 37 percent of electricity generation in 2021 to 39 percent in 2022.
The agency predicts wind power will increase from 11 percent to 12 percent of total power generation this year.
Coal is expected to further decline from 20 percent to 17 percent.
Melissa Lott, director of research for the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, told the Associated Press that the $369 billion in clean energy spending authorized by the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act should have a "Tremendous" impact on further accelerating domestic renewable energy growth.

I took a look at some of my past holdings, including some backtesting going back to 2008. I always backtest to make sure what I am doing actually works. Here is how I screen for Large-Cap Income stocks.

When I do something similar where I compare this approach to SCHD (9/16/2013-3/28/2023), this approach beats SCHD 62% of the time, and the rolling average (16.37%) is far superior to SCHD's 11.39%.
What’s Passing Now? As I have shared these past few days, the only passing companies are Snap-On and Robert Half. As a disclosure, I own A.O. Smith and Snap-On.
P.S. For those of you who automatically downvote anything negative about SCHD, I suggest you actually start doing some real research and due diligence. The data is pretty overwhelming that it is possible to beat an index.

My LO just turned 2. The past 6 weeks have been tough..
Previous schedule was Wake up: 7am Nap:12-1.15pm Bedtime: 7.30pm
It used to take me around 20-30 mins to put her to sleep. It now takes 1hr+ for naps and 2hrs for bedtime. This means the schedule is now
Wakeup: 7-7.30am Nap: 1-2pm Bedtime: 9.30 Nighttime sleep is on average 10-11 hrs.
It's all muddled because it takes her that extra time to fall asleep.
I'm really struggling. I spend 4hrs a day on trying to get her to sleep. I ended up shouting at her to go to sleep last night and I felt so bad because she cried because of it. The way I put her to sleep os just lay with her until she falls asleep. It won't work another way and I don't want to sleep train right now.
I have tried skipping her naps. She is tiered and yawning by the 8 hour mark but just pushes through and overall ok and sleeps faster at bedtime and will sleep 11-13 hours it fluctuates. I tried giving her short nap (35 mins) and it will again take 2 hours to sleep at night.
Do I cut out her naps although generally ok she is yawning in the day? Do I push through and pray this is a phase?
Any advice is welcome x

i just bought this watch online and discovered that the hands, when changing modes, become desynced specifically when the hands rotate backwards. i have a similar watch with the same movement and you can tell that the pictured Seiko's hands are slightly stuttery when moving backwards. I'm not sure if this is a cause/symptom but thought it was notable. each mode change can result in an additional 15-45 minutes of desync. I found a manual online which details how to reset the internal circuit C-MOS battery, and that this procedure should be done after a battery change. Unfortunately this did not change functionality at all.
Finally I did open the back to check the battery. It should be an sr927w or 399 type battery. I noticed that it just sr927, so i swapped it for a battery from the store labelled as sr297w/sr927sw. this also didn't help at all. i dont really know about batteries but i know sr297w and sw are slightly different, even though everything at the store was labelled compatible for both.
anyway, im a complete watch repair amateur so i really know absolutely nothing about this stuff. i have tried to be thorough in my explanation because i really would like to fix the watch as i use timers and 12hr chronographs for work.
