I drove a GX 470 (2006) for 13 years until I got obliterated in an accident. My wife asked me to get rid of it when it happened. I made a deal that I'd buy a new car on the contingency that when the new GX got unveiled I could buy that.

TLDR; Has anyone bought or sold a car from a dealership that was to be titled in a different state and therefore required no sales tax?
I'll be in the market for a mid-sized truck in the next year or so. I'm active duty military and Ohio has a sales tax exemption for vehicles purchased outside of Ohio, that will be used outside of Ohio for at least six months. I'd like to take advantage of this and save about $3,000 on OTD price.
Does anyone have experience with something like this? Should this simplify the buying process through a non-Ohio dealership because I will do all of the paperwork to title it in Ohio myself?

Just got offered a job at a local Kia Dealer and wanted opinions on the pay structure as this is my first time in car sales, before now I’ve been doing cellular sales mainly. I don’t have a printed version or otherwise I’d post that but what I was told today was that it is a 2 method system. Percentage or flats, whichever is higher.
Flats are 200 for cars 1-9, if sold above 9 it goes to 250 (and the first 9 get bumped to 250 as well) above 15 bumps it to 300

At 15 cars there is also a $750 bonus. Management said most people who sell around 20 cars get close to $10-13k. The owner is from LA and is big on life balance so hours are only around 45 a week which doesn’t sound bad for car sales from what I’ve read.
Mainly just wanted opinions on if this sounds right/if it’s in line with most decent offers. Any tips or knowledge for a newbie would also be welcome! I have another interview with a local used shop on Wednesday but I might just take this offer. This is in the Nashville TN area.

I do think the minivan is so much more convenient and has the best features for traveling with kids, but I learned to drive on a three row SUV (Land Cruiser) and have always preferred to drive bigger cars. So I do like the feeling of the Telluride more. My husband also prefers the Telluride.

I have a small home that is unlivable as is in Ohio. After I moved to PA in 2020 I am still unable to sell this home for anything more than approximately $20k when I still owe $42K. I tried 3 times to get "friends" to fix it up and buy it for what I owed but I only got a home now that is gutted. If redone it would be worth around $100-120k ( guessing on comps).
Right now I just want it gone. I am to the point that I want to just give it back to the bank and foreclose. I know that this would seriously effect my good credit, but I am at my witts end.
I would see a lawyer in Ohio, but I am 8hrs away from that home. Should I call the mortgage bank and ask for information on a short sale 1st? Should I contact my local banks and pay off my mortgage and then sell? Should i speak to a lawyer here in PA for adive? I am just losing money every month on mortgage, taxes, utilities, lawn care. My rate is 4.5% and I know if I get a loan now to pay it off that it would probably be a lot more.
This is causing me a lot of stress. Any advice will be welcomed! Thanks

I've been lurking in the sub, waiting to see if it was a thing or if my friends really look that young.
A group of cops basically jumped us as we (group of 4 of my friends & I) were walking from one stage to another.
It started with one flashing his badge at my bf, and another showing his around his neck.
We're all above 25, but, I mean, EVERY vender we bought drinks from was ID'ing, so, wtf?
There were more of them than us, dressed straight from the grunge section at Target, surrounding us & seemingly trying to instigate my friends and I.
I was initially very defensive of my boyfriend, but quickly realized the one cop was, like, preying on having an argument with me, so I backed off and turned around.
Then, he tapped me on the shoulder and tried to continue conversing with me. I let him know not to touch me and he left me alone.
Those of us who were drinking showed our ID's. One cop literally bent my friend's like it was fake. Oh, & we're from Columbus/Ohio.
But, yeah that was it.. I was wondering if anyone else had a similar story or run in with these people.
As you can imagine, there was no apologetic tone for the unwarranted harassment or an explanation given for anything from the "undercover cops," just a bad taste in my mouth.
tldr We got harassed by undercover cops at Sonic Temple. We're of age. Did anyone else experience this?

On May 5th I called a Kia dealership and they told me they have a 2024 Seltos LX AWD that is arriving within 1-5 weeks (May 12 - June 9) - they also provided me with a VIN
I bought the car that day (put a deposit down), and about 3 weeks later, I asked if they had an update. I was told it was still arriving "by the beginning of June"
Fast forward to May 29th, I emailed again asking if it's still expected to be ready for pickup by June 9th. I was then told that "due to traffic at the port of Vancouver, the new ETA is July 12th" which is 5 weeks later than the original worst-case scenario that I was told when I purchased the vehicle
Is this delay common in new car sales? I understand that congestion at ports may cause delays, but to go from a ~possible delivery date of May 12th, to now being told it'll ~maybe be here by July 12th seems like an egregious delay
I spoke to one of my friends about this and he thinks they might've sold my car to someone else for more money, so they're now waiting for a new one to arrive for me - does that seem plausible, or do you think it's likely just genuinely delayed?

I’ve read so many posts on Reddit about barbell recommendations but wanted to ask for a direct comparison between Rogue Ohio/Bella, Again Faster, and HERO.
My husband and I both want barbells (Cerakote finish). The shipping fees and sales tax together are hard to stomach from Rogue but obviously they are the best. I wouldn’t do Boneyard. Again Faster - I’ve read mixed reviews but free shipping is tempting. And HERO - just started looking into them but again a bit cheaper than Rogue. We have the $ to go either way, but just want to make sure I’m considering all options and being responsible before automatically buying Rogue.
Edit - this is just for casual crossfitting in our outdoor garage - and from the comments below, we’ll definitely consider Boneyard Bars from Rogue in the right finishes!
