This guy (30M) and I(31F) have been friends for 13 years now. He is part of my friend group. Over the years we would hang out together with the friend group and also sometimes alone. We would go to the movies together, restaurants or sometimes just hangout. We are very comfortable with each other. He is very funny btw and humour is what connected us.
He is the type of person to not share many things, as was I. We kept our dating lives private from each other over the years. He never meddled, and i never asked. We would meet everyweek and just chill, have pointless conversations, talk aboug anything and everything.
Things changed over the past year. One night while we were hanging out with friends he tried to be intimate with me, both of us were drunk at this point. I was surprised at first, later when my friends went into other room i let him know that this isn't how friends behave. He was embarrassed, said sorry and we both continued like nothing happened. A thing to note is that over the years i was also attracted to him but never acted on it as it would ruin the friendship and i knew for a fact that he doesn't want to be in a relationship with anyone. I also wasn't sure if he liked me.
Fast-forward a few months later, we are on a trip and we kiss each other. This time i make the move. We come back to our city and act like nothing happened for few days and finally meet one day have a conversation and i ask him if we should get married. As we both obviously like each other, respect each other and have a great time together.
6 months passed and he doesn't answer anything. I let it go thinking i acted foolishly and that he doesn't like me. We were both awkward with each other af first but then continued to talk normal when we were with out friends, never met alone after this point.
One day a friend of mine and i had to visit him at his home, i visited him at his home multiple times before and know his parents and his sister is also part of our friend group. I noticed things were a bit off when I met his mom and his sister. They acted surprised to see me there. I think nothing of it. All of us friends go to a restaurant for dinner and i also noticed that he was calmer than usual the whole time.
They drop me home and we were trying to figure out how much I owe him via text that night as he paid the bill. As we were chatting i ask him what's wrong why was he calm the entire night. I ask if it is because he lost his job recently. He calls me immediately and let's me know that his parents know about him and i and that they did not agree to our marriage and thats the reason he did not give an answer. He is a Hindu, i am a Muslim.
This was a shock to me. I suffered for 6 months thinking he did not like me like that and finally made peace. But knowing this i couldnt contain my tears. And have been crying ever since.

Alicia, you're very diligent. This upload rate keeps me eating good! I started watching from the Jojo's reacts, because nothing prompts a reaction like Jojo's and I can't enjoy rewatching without seeing somebody else in the room losin' it over the crazy shit they pull.

I'm looking to buy a lens for my BMPCC4K, and I've been looking at a Sigma 18-35 /f.18 on eBay with a Nikon AF mount.

sorry for length! TL;DR my best friend made me feel really bad about myself, my identity and my sexuality as a result of her dealing with her own issues with the same things. It's been years and I want to forgive and forget but I don't know how I can do that.

I'm 31F, my best friend Amanda is 34F. We've known each other since we were teenagers, she's the closest thing I have to a sister and we love each other dearly. There's just one thing that's really bothering me right now and it's kind of a big one.
Some backstory: I'm bisexual, married to a man. We've been married for 5 years and have a wonderful relationship. Amanda has a great relationship with him too, they're close friends and it makes me really happy that they get along.
Amanda came out to me about 6 months ago as a lesbian, having previously identified as bi. I kind of saw this coming because she would constantly make comments about never wanting to be with a man. Now that she's out, she's working through all her feelings about herself, how she felt like she "needed" to be bi or straight instead of gay, etc. She's putting in a lot of work in therapy and I'm happy and proud of her that she's working to be more comfortable with herself.
The problem is that, as a result of her own self-hatred (her words), over the past several years she's said a lot of disparaging things about being with men, queer women who are with men, how it's "a shame" when queer women end up in M/F relationships, etc. She at one point even said that "the only conversion camp I believe in is one that would turn all girls gay." I wouldn't say this was constant, but there have been many, many instances of her saying things like this over the years, dating back as far as 2019 that I can remember. I would often tell her at the time - hey, that makes me feel weird or can you please not make comments like that, and she would apologize at the time but then do it again. We've had a lot of talk about this but it never really came to a boiling point til recently.
I understand now that she was making those comments as she worked through her own feelings and issues around her own sexuality - but damn if they didn't stick with me all these years and make me feel pretty horribly about myself. We had a long talk about it a few months ago, and she's apologized a lot. We've talked at length about how she didn't realize that what she said was hurting me indirectly as she was "aiming" for herself.
As a bi person I already deal with erasure and feeling invalidated or "not queer enough" all the time. I love my husband more than the world and I would never trade our relationship for anything, but it absolutely sucks to have people judge who I am based on my relationship with what they perceive to be a cis straight man. And it hurts even worse to have felt like my best friend felt that way too. She knows this is something I've struggled with for years. The last time we talked about it she said she "never thinks of bi people as being less gay" despite the fact that she made me feel that way for years.
We recently talked about it again and she apologized again, and she hasn't made comments like this anymore since she came out and started going to therapy. But I can't help but feel like the damage has been done. I feel horrible still being upset by it or even bringing it up because it feels like I'm throwing it back in her face that she really hurt me. But I also don't know how to get over it because it still does creep into my mind a decent amount.
I feel really shitty about this. She feels bad too - she said she feels like something she said 5 years ago is still haunting us, and I kinda can't disagree. It absolutely sucks because this is pretty much the only major beef we have ever had and it's making me question everything. And I have my own issues to work out on my end too, but I can't help but feel resentful of her getting to be all euphoric with her new, out identity when it felt like she was putting me down about mine for so long.
I don't really know what I hope to get out of posting this - just different perspective I guess? I am a big believer in clearly communicating and not invalidating my or others' feelings, but every time I bring this up it just makes both of us upset and I don't really know how to stop that.

It holds a cohesive sound with a few meaningful deviations, but the writing. People don’t give Matt enough credit as a writer with perfect imagery that gives perfect analogies of recovering finding the good in bad times and moving on from past relationships (Don’t it Feel Good) that allow for a deeper listening experience. Sam flexes his guitar skills on tracks like Evergreen which offers a great summer jam. Sotiris and Michael offer a resonant and groovy atmosphere which ties a lot of the album together. And Jackie offers a bittersweet tone by balancing the good and bad themes of the album, offering light to darkness. It just has the most cohesive, focused direction of their discography and seeing these songs performed live (along with the others; i.e. Dirty Love) back up these assertions. I saw them in Charlotte and Colombia, SC and can confirm tracks like Johnson Song and Orange Blood go INSANE. Anyways, I’m a little cooked and just putting that out there into the world.

I've started hanging out with a friend more lately who happens to be a woman. We both recently just got out of relationships, mine was only 5 months, but hers was 5 years(our break ups were 2 weeks apart). She is pretty jaded about dating again and I'm also not really looking for another right now(I do miss having someone tho). We were always friends before covid, but towards the end we started talking and hanging out more. After our break ups we would hang out like every other day and would go to bars to drink and talk about life and video games. Some how we got onto friends with benefits, which is something I very much stay away from. I knew she had 2 guy friends like that, and it never bothered me, cause we are just friends. She asked me how I felt about fwb, I told her I don't do that cause I ALWAYS catch feelings and don't want to be heart broken. So a week goes by and I ask her if she wants to hangout. We go to a bar, I guess one of her fwb bailed last minute, and I just felt like drinking and having fun(they had a game night). While we were drinking she brought up the friends with benefits again with me, and I reiterated how I will ALWAYS catch feeling and want to stay away from that(I catch them fast too 😮‍💨). We don't talk about it anymore, but then make plans to come back in 2 days for a dnd night they have. We play video games online with each other like everyday, so we are always kinda hanging out everyday. So the dnd day comes up and we have fun at the bar, but then she starts to touch my leg a bit and I kinda just write it off as just being drunk and over thinking it. So I get way too drunk and have to crash at her place(I would uber, but my car is at her place and it cost way too much to get home). I start to sleep on the floor, but she tells me to sleep in the bed. I think about it for a bit and was gonna just tell her the floor is fine, but before I say anything she says it's fine and it doesn't mean anything. So being drunk and dumb I sleep in the bed without another thought about it. She tells me she want to cuddle and that it doesn't mean anything, so like an idiot I flop over into a cuddle position and we pass out(nothing else happens after that and I go home after giving her a hug good bye the next morning). I go to her bday party and she comes over after she cancels going out to a club. We watch some shows in my room and then cuddle a bit. I send her off to the spare bedroom at my place after a few more hours of shows and cuddling. I sleep in my bed and she sleeps in the other room. She goes home the next morning after we get some breakfast and talk about life and dumb game shit(overwatch 2). Let's skip to like 20 days later, when we are going to the ren faire together. It's me her and her best friend(my other friends bailed on me last minute). We all have fun and her friend says she has to go, so we see her off. We are pretty drunk at this point and we start taking pictures together. She catches me off guard and kisses me in one of the photos. We start taking couples photos after that and I'm picking her up and playing along now(im a dumbass). We stroll around the faire a bit longer and then decided to head home now that I'm sober enough to drive. We head back to my place and drink and play some video games. After a few hours we move onto Netflix and we cuddle again. She is too drunk to drive home now, so she sleeps over and invites me to sleep in the same bed as her(she says she is just like sleeping next to someone). I join her, but the she starts cuddling with me more and I get turned on(it's very noticeable I'm just in undies). I apologize to her and she shows me that she is also turned on, and being a bit high from weed and drunk I start playing with her(she seems to be enjoying it and I love that). She stops me from continuing with my hands and then I take as a sign to back off. The we wake up next day get breakfast and then she goes home. Like a week and a half goes by and we go hiking by my place, it was a lot of fun, we decided to go back to my place and smoke and game. It gets late really fast and so I offer the spare bed. She tells me to come sleep with her and I join her. We cuddle more and I obviously get turned on again and she plays with it a bit. After a few minutes of that I work up the courage to ask her if she wanted to do more, because of last time(not sure if yall could tell, but I already caught feelings after the kiss). She makes fun of me for not doing more last time, and then we do it after a bit of laughing. Next day the we hang out together the whole day and go drinking with my friends, but I hold off as I'm driving. We go back to my place and the same thing as the night before happens(smoke and sex). The next day we get lunch and she really opens up to me about her and her family and I listen and to my best to be there for her. She tells me she loves me as a friend and I also feel similar to that, but instead of saying anything I just give her a hug. The next week I go over to her place to play games, smoke weed, and chat. I tell her that I want to date her and my feelings that have developed. She tells me that she doesn't want to jump back into a relationship so soon. I understand that and tell her that I would wait for her if she ever wants to be with me that way(I'm dumb). We cuddle and I pass out. I go home the next day not feeling so great, but happy I got my feelings out to her. Let's say like 3 days go by and we don't really talk all that much other than sending memes back and forth. One night I ask her if she wants to hang out and grab some food. She agrees, but wants to be brought home cause she misses her place. So we go for a walk and then drive in my car. We stop to talk and cuddle for a bit in my car. We talk and she wants me to know that she wouldn't do things with me if she didn't have some feelings for me, but tells me that she doesn't want a relationship and doesn't want to lose the friendship. We cuddle a bit more and then I drive her home. For the past few times we have hung out we don't really do anything but kissing a bit. I went on what I thought was a very date like thing(we went on a picnic in a nice arboretum). We kissed a few times and then she said she doesn't want to kiss anymore, so we stopped and just talked and then walked around. I brought her home cause she works early in the morning and doesn't want to stay up all night with me(seems fair).
I'm sure there are things I forgot. I would like a woman's opinion on this and I don't know what to do. I know I'm willing to wait for her to like me back, but I also don't want to be heart broken. What do I do? I'm so hopelessly lost in all of this. She still does stuff with her fwb and I fell left feeling stupid and used.

So I absolutely loved Breath of the Wild. It rode the line between meaningful exploration and linear progression perfectly. Tears so far hasn’t done this for me, let me explain.
BotW did something most people complained about initially, weapon durability. It meant that your best weapons break so don’t get attached to them and try a variety. This along with armor unlocks and heart containers being earned by shrines means a huge part of the game was moments of finally beating a strong enemy and getting an awesome roll on a weapon. This is commonly known as a milestone reward system, which is an alternate to a level up mechanic like in Skyrim. This style is my preference and BotW did a great job when you finally got a savage lynel weapon with +attack damage felt awesome! You hit a huge milestone and it was marked with big dopamine rush!
Cut to nearly 40 hours into Tears of the Kingdom and ALL I’ve found is super trashy rusted weapons. I understand the lore behind it but wow is there 0 milestone dopamine hits to pick up my 15th rusty broadsword. The gimmick of combining weapons with fuse is neat and all but there’s literally no point so far where I’ve been interested in exploring for new weapons because it’s so far all been trash.
Without any spoilers, does this get better or should I lower my expectations?

I first got diagnosed with thyroid disorder (TSH at 9.8) and the doctor I was seeing gave me a dose of 100mg.
I took it for 3 months and at first it felt a bit better, but then it got worse from around month 3. Took another blood test and found out my TSH is at 0.01, T4 Free Direct Dialysis is 3.1, and T4 Free Non Dialysis is 2.4.
I’m not sure what’s the different between these two T4s and for some reason T3 is not in the lab test order, and since my TSH 0.01 along with all the horrible symptoms, should I go for lower dose maybe 25mg?

In this article, we’ll take a closer look at some of the shipping container terminology you need to know to understand the language of shipping containers.

13 SHIPPING CONTAINER TERMS TO KNOW

Whether you’re a business owner looking to ship your products overseas or simply curious about how these massive steel boxes work, we’ve got you covered. This guide will give you the knowledge you need to navigate the world of shipping container terminology.
The standard shipping container is 8’ 6” tall, and the most common container sizes are 20 and 40 feet long. They’re created out of Corten steel, a type of weathering steel resistant to weather effects. Typical containers have double cargo doors on one end and an end frame on the other.

1. DOOR HEADER

A door header is an integral part of the container’s structure. It’s a horizontal beam that runs along the top of the cargo doors, adding support for the roof, distributing storage weight and strengthening the security of the doors to the container. For modified containers that add roll-up doors, the plate protects the roll-up door barrel.

2. DOOR GASKET

Seals called gaskets are installed around the cargo doors to prevent moisture, dust, and other contaminants from entering the container’s storage space. These gaskets are lodged in channels and grooves around the perimeter of the door frame. They’re also a crucial part of the container’s wind and weather-tight qualities.

3. LOCK BOX

Here at Southwest Mobile Storage, we use a three-tiered system to make sure our containers offer vault-level security. Lock boxes are a critical security feature we install on shipping containers that prevent unauthorized access to stored materials.
When a padlock is enclosed in a steel lock box, it becomes much more difficult to successfully gain access inside a container. Moreover, potential thieves must use cutting or drilling, deterring criminals that don’t have the time or energy to deal with the challenge.

4. SLIDE BOLT

The second part of our container security system is our slide bolt. When closed, a heavy-duty puck lock can be attached to the circular spot inside the slid bolt frame, creating another layer of security to deter break-ins.

5. DOOR LOCKING HANDLE

Our container security system’s third step is the door-locking handle. The handles aid in opening and closing the doors and have the capability to lock in their final resting place, situated beneath the container locking tabs. The locking tabs are lockable with padlocks, thus providing a final seal for container security.

6. DOOR PANEL

The door panel of a container allows access to the inside of your container and holds the other components attached to the door, like locking bars. Each door is made of thick steel and can swing 270 degrees outward.

7. LOCKING BARS

The locking bars span the width of the container’s door opening and attach to the end frame on each side of the door. Handles located on the exterior of the container typically operate the locking bars, which rods or cables connect to.
The door-locking handles secure the locking bars in place, holding the doors securely closed and preventing them from opening during transportation. Two locking bars are standard in 20-foot containers, while larger 40-foot containers may have four or more.

8. FORKLIFT POCKETS

One of the biggest benefits of using a container for storage is that you can easily transport it. Containers can be transported by forklifts using the two pockets on the bottom sides of the container. From here, they can be transported on-site or onto a truck bed for delivery to a location farther away.

9. CORNER CASTING

Corner castings serve an essential role in maintaining your container’s structure. These eight 3.0mm thick corner castings have some of the thickest steel on the container, allowing containers to be stacked and handled securely. You can stack a maximum of nine containers, but this limit may be lower depending on local conditions.

10. TOP SIDE RAIL

The top side rail of a container helps provide structure to the roof. That helps distribute weight evenly across the top of the container. It also ensures a level surface that prevents stacked containers from shifting during transportation.

11. SIDE PANEL

The corner posts, top rails, and bottom rails work together with container side panels to create a rigid frame that distributes weight. Corrugated side panels, which have distinctive ridges and grooves add strength and flexibility. These panels enclose the storage area and prevent stored materials from moving around when properly stored.

12. END FRAME

A container end frame is a structural component of a shipping container located at the end of the container. Thus, the rectangular frame made of steel provides stability to the back of the container.

13. BOTTOM RAILS

The bottom side rail performs a crucial function in holding up the rest of the container, acting as the primary load-bearing component of the container. It connects to the bottom corner castings to lock on to containers beneath.

So I have a theory for how Beyond the Spiderverse might end based on a few things but there are admittedly a few loose ends that I’m hoping will be tied up in the 3rd movie.
I think that while The Spot is a humorous villain that has become a multiversal threatening villain, I think he won’t truly end up being the villain of the story. His motivation for being a villain might be out of spite for Miles blowing up the collider with him near, but ultimately he craves recognition for being useful or having a purpose. I believe that he will end up reaching a conclusion where he ultimately has a change of heart (and thus not killing Miles’s dad) but not one to where he becomes a hero. I think that either they find a way to nerf his powers, reverse them, or he simply gives up his life in an attempt to save Miles’ universe (i.e. What happens if The Spot jumps into the black hole of a universe that is unraveling?). Regardless of the conclusion, The Spot will not be the villain that threatens the multiverse.
This leaves a few other options for main villains: Miguel O’Hara who has clearly shown he has a darker side that is unexplored, or Earth-42 Miles Morales that could want revenge for the chaos his world was thrown that includes his fathers death. But what if the villain at the end is neither? (the “at the end” part is important) What if the antagonist that suffered the most and has the most to be angry about is Earth-42 Aaron Davis? He would have seen his brother die and his nephew not realize his own potential and fall down a dark path, leaving only himself to act as a mentor. If he were to see another version of Miles living what appears to be a happy life as Spider-Man with his brother still alive, it might send him into an inexplicable rage for how his own world has ended up. He, along with misguided Earth-42 Miles, could make a trip to Alchemex where they recreate the spider from that universe (possibly with DNA from Miles and splitting it up). Then Earth-42 Miles could potentially become Spiderman in his own universe, but I believe he might have a change of heart from being a villain or rather, being the right hand for exacting “justice” for the troubles of his misguided uncle. His uncle, still believing his version of Miles has yet to reach his potential and now does not want to take revenge for the rough life that universe handed them decides to have the spider bite him instead. This will force both versions of Miles to come together to make his uncle realize that his story doesn’t have to be about revenge. From there the story could end, or it could have Aaron going back to alchemex and recreating a spider for Earth-42 Miles and Aaron could act as the mentor.
Thus ending the movie, with a total of 3 villains in the movie. The Spot, Aaron Davis, and Miguel O’Hara who could act as a villain in the middle of the movie wanting to kill Miles for saving his dad from The Spot and potentially creating an anomaly that could wipe out his universe (before the final villain of Aaron Davis comes into play).
*** Potential end credit scene or teaser scene in the movie Choice A: Miles goes through a portal from a slightly damaged machine (the ones they have on their wrist that I can’t remember bc I’m tired) and lands in the real world, GIVING US OUR FIRST LOOK AT LIVE ACTION MILES AND MAKING THE SPIDERVERSE FRANCHISE CANON MCU CONTENT Choice B: During a fight with Aaron Davis at Alchemex they hurdle through a portal that puts them in the real world, with Donald Glover acting as a live action Earth-42 Aaron Davis and once again GIVING US OUR FIRST LOOK AT LIVE ACTION MILES (although this wouldn’t technically make the Spiderverse franchise canon since it’s a different version of Aaron, which means Miles could already exist in the live action MCU).

I (21) have been with my partner (21) for over a year now. This is my first romantic relationship I’ve ever been in. I have flirted/talked to some before but only online. When we got together I told them I am poly/pan and and am curious to explore sexually with all types of people. I’ve since then got a new job, working under my partner at a pizza restaurant. And have been developing what I would call a light obsession with a coworker, been thinking about them a lot. Even very lazily/unsuccessfully tried to search for them online. I haven’t said anything to my partner yet bc I feel discouraged. We have a plan in action to move out of state in a few months. I recognize I am unhealthy Interested. I call my bpd a tumor sometimes, it feels like a part of my brain can take control. I often fixate on the idea that there is someone else inside my head. I’ve always had that sort of vague idea. These feelings feel separate from me, but after so much time, I relate now. I don’t know what to think. I plan on talking with my partner but I have to prepare.
