I'm 15 female. I weight about 55kg and am 160cm tall. I pretty much want to develop abs that arent to obvious but they are there and noticable and I want to lose fat i my thighs and cafes. (weight loss in legs are main goal)
I have a home gym that I will be using, I have:
Weights: dumbells, weights for machines ect
Rowe machine
Bicycle machine (Not sure what its called)
One of those multifunctional weight gym (legs and arms)
Bench press
Other small things like yoga mats ect

I'm looking to workout maybe 3 times a week for an hour?
Please lmk what workout routine would best help me reach my goals.

This turns out to about 62,500 → rounding up to 65,000.

We are currently in a decent 2BHK (rented), and purchasing a 3BHK at 1.3 cr (initial 20% down paid, EMI yet to start, under construction, 1cr loan).
We currently do not own a car, but plan to have one (Tata Nexon or equivalent ~ 15L) maybe in 2-3 years.
Because of the home EMI, and saving up for closing cost and interior (required in 1.5 - 2 years, stashing in RD), current savings/investment are on the lower side: 80k-1L spanned across EFP, NPS, MF, FD/RD. We have mostly depleted our emergency fund for the downpayment, and our parents are currently serving that role. They are (reasonably) financially independent (pension).
We currently have about 1.1cr across all our investment & savings, excluding house and other depreciating assets. We have been working for about 8 years.
FIRE expectations:
We would love to get into FATFIRE. We want to inflate our living a bit, go on more vacation and hopefully own a luxury car (Audi/BMW, but this one is more of a good to have). I did some basic calculations for normal FIRE and found in 15y, about 10cr should be fine. How much do we actually need for FAT FIRE and is it achievable in 15 years? If not, Is it achievable in 15 years if we start freelancing at that point and expect to earn 50k (50k at 15 years from now, not inflation adjusted 50k of now) per month?

So I’ve lost a lot of weight and decided that 65lbs from my goal weight I wanted to start weight training.
Now it’s been 4 weeks of weight training for 4/5 times a week, 1 rest day and a cardio focused day + cardio everyday (50min/12incline/3speed) except on rest day where I just focus on getting in 10k steps. I’ve been in a deficit, staying around 1500-1700 cals per day. My BMR is 1937 cals, plus the working out I feel like it should be good enough for a deficit. My diet right now consists of high protein low fat.
Problem is that I can see my body changing and clothes fitting differently, but the scale has yet to move. I was just looking to get some feedback on when it would get moving, also why it hasn’t moved yet?
Thought it might be body recomp, but I feel like I’m not eating enough cals for that to happen. Also if it were the case and I was/am in body recomp, shouldn’t the scale go down 3/4 weeks out.
Should I quit weight training and just do cardio to speed up the scale, maybe revisit the weight training when I’m out 30 more lbs?
Someone else mentioned doing a water fast for 2 days to kick start a drop, is this valid?

I have a 55 pound border collie x German Shepard dog.
Earlier this evening, I was trying to render out the fat from some trimming I had. I left it cook on the stove with some water for around an hour, but it was taking too long and it was late so I decided to scrap the project. I drained off the liquid and threw the solids in the trash. I went to go brush my teeth and was my face and my dog went through the kitchen garbage and ate around 1/3 cup of the boiled beef fat trimmings. He normally never goes through the trash and I usually keep it out of too but I’ve just been so exhausted today that it slipped my mind.
I’m really worried about the possibility of him developing pancreatitis. He has a history of having a sensitive tummy and eats a relatively ‘clean’ diet (mainly just his kibble, beef bone broth, and a treat or two a day).
How likely is it he’ll develop pancreatitis? I can deal with diarrhea but I really can’t afford the vet bill right now if it is pancreatitis

Just yesterday she spilled something all over the car and was very frustrated about it but she then blamed me because at the time we weren't on good terms and it 'wouldnt have had happened if we werent on bad terms"...
"They may berate you because it's raining today and you forgot to tell them to bring an umbrella. A malignant narcissist will get off by making you feel bad and destroying your self-esteem. Saying nasty things to you out of the blue or discarding you is par for the course."
I'm often on the receiving end of criticism, from the clothes I wear to my physical appearance.
"If you make a mistake, they will magnify it and use it as evidence that you are incompetent. This is their way of putting you down and making you feel bad about yourself."
Over-bearing remarks are a trademark for her, often just tossing insults out at me such as saying I'm stupid, dumb, an idiot, etc.

After arguments shes mad for days to weeks and practices the silent treatment but is sure its me that doesnt love her... even with all those dramatics...

My looks, being too skinny, "I want a real man!" Thankfully I've been working on myself more, realizing that loving myself is the only thing that matters + bringing back some traits I once had when I gave less fucks haha
Exaggerating Little Things

No moment is safe, even when away at work I can almost expect a text of "Why did you do this!! You left a spatula on the sink!! Now dog chewed it, you're a mess!!!!"
Was it a mistake? Yes. If she did this, would I care even one iota? No. In the grand scheme of life, I'd choose peace.

While she stopped doing this within the last year, it definitely has traumatized me a bit.

I can't tell you the number of times shes yelled at the top of her lungs knowing I was asleep because she was annoyed with me.
She would also get angry if I fell asleep during a movie, totally irate as if I was harming her in some way. I think its cute when she dozes off...
"Another one of the weird things narcissists do involves screaming with rage about the most insignificant issue for hours on end… but anything you say against them will be blown out of proportion."
"Even if you speak in a calm voice, the very fact that you are disagreeing with them gives them the all the incentive they need to say that you are starting an argument."
The petty arguments we've had are embarassing and 99% of them are started on her end. Something always sets her off. The number of triggers she has is alarming.

People really view her as a saint. They have no idea!!!
Projecting Their Worst Qualities

In my case - its about phone usage. She's always on her phone but the moment I'm on mine and shss not on hers, it's an issue.
She's also mentioned believing others in the past have just been jealous of her... another narc trait.
Now - here I Am - 6 years into a relationship and engaged. I'm currently getting a silent treatment, its Day 5. On Day 1, after another explosive episode where everything was fine until she randomly brought up something from 3 years ago in anger as if it happened today. I lost my cool after she told me "I already know who I want to be with" and we got into an ugly yelling match.
It's insane because I loved myself going into this relationship and we had a divine union at the beginning, a fairy-tale-like coming together which blew both of our minds.
We share most of the same friends and have built a tribe of spiritually-minded people we consider family and they all have no idea...
I know I need to leave but I feel empty and I do love her regardless as I view her childhood trauma leading to these actions...
I've never been in this position before and I guess I just need people to talk to about this so I was hoping to have that here, thank you for reading.

Hey all, I’m back to square one with stuff but it’s going better than I expected.
July 2022- I was the thinnest I’d ever been, in a healthy range for my height (5’1” F 126lbs) I still thought I was fat and I want to go back in time and punch myself in the face.
May 2023- I have gained over 50 pounds. (180lbs) since July 2022 I have experienced deaths of friends, a huge shift in my quality of work life that left me resentful, I went back to school (coding bootcamp) in an attempt to change careers and took on another full time job (in addition to my other job) to pay for it, and turned to food for self soothing. My depression roared back into place and as an ex-addict/alcoholic who wasn’t looking to get back on the sauce, I let myself eat and eat without the time to go to the gym or any regard for my health. If I wasn’t working I was sleeping or eating. I cried in counseling and I sobbed In doctors appointments. (My doc is the absolute best and she repeatedly told me “I’m not worried about the numbers on the scale but it happened so quickly, are you okay?” And then “I know you’re going through a lot but let’s think about how you can be more active again and eating better so we can get you back to a healthy range.”)
Positives: my partner is extremely supportive and works out with me and we always eat healthy together. My parents are supportive and celebrated my achievements and call me every day. My sister drove the two hours to help me deep clean my depression apartment so I could have a fresh start. My best friend and I and my mom have walking challenges to keep us motivated because we’re competitive. My partner and best friend have surprised me with a vacation abroad for 10 days mostly paid for because they’re proud and they believe in me.
June 2023- this is the first week back. I’ve been to the gym 4 times this week and will be enjoying the rest days of cardio and stretching. I’m finally able to be a better friend and better partner because my intensive certification course is over. I’ve gotten some great advice on eating better. I have not lost weight. But at 50+ pounds heavier I can safely say that my support network, who laid the groundwork for months before this, has proven that they don’t care how I look, they love me for me. My partner has been the absolute best in cheering me on and celebrating my successes and not admonishing my failures (the weight, the stress hives, the anxiety.)
I am uncomfortable in this body. I can’t move the way I used to or lift the weight i could have a few months ago, I am terrified to tears daily about our vacation in 6 weeks, and nothing fits or looks good enough to me. But the world won’t stop turning to allow me to lose 50 pounds before I allow people to look at me so I am going to do my best to wake up and realize all the good in my life and all the people that didn’t leave me when I got thicker.
I’m going to hit it hard because I enjoy it. I love lifting, I love being strong and seeing my muscles so I am going to enjoy the ride, keep an eye on my diet and talk it out in counseling and to the doc if I need help, and I’m not buying a swimsuit until July 1st because who knows? Tone might happen, water weight could fall off, and changes to my body might occur. But then i will buy clothes that fit and are comfortable for the body I am in at that time because I deserve to feel comfortable and have clothes that fit and not feel like I have to wear the potato sack of shame on a vacation meant to celebrate me.
Don’t get me wrong, I hate my body. I hate that I let myself get here and I hate that people look at me when I look like this. But I’m trying every single day to be the physically healthy, mentally healthy, most grateful, and smartest version of myself. So even if the scale doesn’t say things i like I guarantee that i will be able to hike, dive, walk, and lift better than i have 30 days ago.
Being fat does not mean I miss out and my efforts will still mean something even if my face looks more buttery in the pictures. I’m not just lifting weights, I’m lifting trauma and insecurities and the fear of not being good enough or desirable. And when I can deadlift my self hatred, I am certain that i will give myself permission to live.
I am committed to doing it correctly where I might have restricted to the point of being unhealthy, overworking myself or pushing too hard before. Doing things the healthy way is slower but at the end of the day, I want peace from the obsession of being perfect. I have a better idea of how I want to look, live, and show up for others. So, I’m addressing my unhealthy thoughts and behaviors and trying so hard to make sure these healthy changes take.
Wish me luck, I have a lot going for me and I hope that through hard work that the pressure to be perfect in 6 weeks will lift.

2023.06.03 08:06 TransRational Best theatre experience I’ve had in awhile.

Went to the theatre downtown. My city was doing its ‘First Friday’ (art and craft fair), as well as our version of Comic Con, so the streets were packed. So was the cinema.
My buddy and I are huge fans, seen Beer live when he came through. When we got into the theatre there were already about 30 people, all of them loud as hell. Haha. We joined right in and laughed it up through the previews.
Normally I hate it when people are loud. But this wasn’t that. It felt communal. It was fun. For me the movie started out a little slow, but you know, gotta build the backstory. Once it took off though, it was fan-fucking-tactic! Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Go out and see it with your friends guys. Hopefully you’ll get lucky like I did and get to share in it with other people.

I want to preface by saying I feel bad and ashamed for this, but I sometimes feel disdain or frustration about type 2 diabetics. It trivializes type 1 when it comes the general perception of what “diabetes” is.
People assume because I have diabetes I’m “fat” or “unhealthy” or eat too much sugar. Some have no idea it’s PERMANENT and not solved by good diet and a pill. Part of me wishing type 2 had a different name.
I assume others feel the same and I’m not sure how to discuss this without coming across as an asshole.
