Yesterday I was out shopping at an outdoor plaza. I have been feeling a bit lonely but was having a nice day. I looked at this tree blowing and I felt the Universe/God was communicating with me that “everything will be okay” and that I am protected.
On the way home, I was driving down a major road. I could see a green light ahead at a big light intersection. When I glanced at the light again, it appeared yellow for a quick moment..I thought maybe it’s the glare but I reactively started to slow my speed but did not stop once I realized it was indeed green. I became very aware of my surroundings and felt like everything was going in slow motion. Well, seconds later a car began turning into the roadway despite oncoming traffic. Because I was cautious given the faux yellow light and slowed down time, I was able to control my car better and slow down when I could see this car was going for it. The car next to me did not react in time and was going very fast. As was the turning car. The crash was BAD. The accident happened right in front of my car and despite all the debris, only a small piece of glass landed on my windshield. The sound was SO loud. One car nearly broke in half. The other car flew into a ditch. The traffic signals all went out. I was stunned and could barely dial 911. I really thought the drivers were dead.
If I did not see that fake yellow light, I am sure I would not have been able to slow down in time to avoid the collision.
I can’t make sense of what happened!

Hi all, I posted a piece last week and got some good constructive feedback. (Thanks!) From that, I revised and figured I probably started in the wrong place (amongst the other issues mentioned). I've taken it all onboard and have attempted an improved opening piece.

Chapter 1: The Final
Kael had been in this position before. The large arena overflowing with spectators, a sea of people below with their eyes fixed on him, brimming with expectations of witnessing greatness once more. None more so than his father.
Everything Kael had. No. Everything, they had been training for came down to this moment. If they win this point, they win the cup. If they win the cup then he would make it. Playing with the big teams across the realms, being paid like the big teams. His family would be secure, safe. Happy.
He adjusted his position on his Lumicor at the heart of the arena. In moments like this, Kael found solace in focusing on the flying machine – a remarkable fusion of engineering and imagination. The Lumicor hovered effortlessly in the air. The craft embodying a seamless blend of a majestic bird and a small ship. Its intricate metalwork enhanced by polished wood. Emphasising the glowing crystalline elements that ran along the body to its aerodynamic wings extending gracefully from its sides.
Kael traced his fingers over the engraved words etched into the bronze-metal steering handles. To be great is to fail, to fail is to be great. His mother's words echoed in his mind. Memories of their past struggles resurfaced—the financial hardships, his mother's difficult upbringing as an abandoned child, and his father's laborious servitude to the Seers Council. Focus, Kael! He shook his head trying to ignore his father, and the Seers Council watching on from the boxed seats above.
Usually, it was just his father watching on, comforting, encouraging—even but today was different. The council members attended the big games. After all, it was they who had provided his Lumicors. Their presence, however, was intimidating. His father couldn't bare to watch, his hands covering his eyes. Kael shook his head again. Focus!
The task ahead was simple. Are these my words or my father’s? Kael looked out from the cockpit across the arena. The windshield glass was tinted ever so slightly, giving the view a golden hue. Usually, the epic atmosphere fuelled him with confidence but today it all felt so different. From the other side of the arena, Lumicors clad in shimmering red trimmed attire, soared through the air towards the same spot. One unlit crystal remains, this is it. Shifting shape structures hanging in the air tracked menacingly across the arena, transforming from cuboid to pyramid, sphere to oblong. What made a great Skyshard player was learning the pattern of the changing shapes. If you could figure that out you had the advantage.
The final unlit crystal circled around the tip of the obelisk. The shifting shapes orbiting it in a synchronised motion. Kael positioned himself carefully for the perfect shot at the crystal, deftly evading the small, taunting shape-shifting structures. The nose of the Lumicor tapping the crystal turning it blue, the crowd cheering, the team winning, I Kael the hero. My father standing, proud. Kael ran this scenario a hundred times before in his mind. Now it was here about to happen.

The collision disrupted his balance, causing him to lose control of his ride. He could hear the gasping of the audience as he and his Lumicor tumbled, crashing onto the floating platform below.
Pain lanced through his body as he lay sprawled on the ground, his vision swimming. The weight of his failure heavier than a hundred cloaks, as tough the arena itself bore down on him. The hushed muttering of the crowd amplifying what had just happened. Kael looked up to his father’s seat but he was nowhere to be seen.

Hi all, I posted a piece last week and got some good constructive feedback. (Thanks!) From that, I revised and figured I probably started in the wrong place (amongst the other issues mentioned). I've taken it all onboard and have attempted an improved opening piece.

Kael had been in this position before. The large arena overflowing with spectators, a sea of people below with their eyes fixed on him, brimming with expectations of witnessing greatness once more. None more so than his father.
Everything Kael had. No. Everything, they had been training for came down to this moment. If they win this point, they win the cup. If they win the cup then he would make it. Playing with the big teams across the realms, being paid like the big teams. His family would be secure, safe. Happy.
He adjusted his position on his Lumicor at the heart of the arena. In moments like this, Kael found solace in focusing on the flying machine – a remarkable fusion of engineering and imagination. The Lumicor hovered effortlessly in the air. The craft embodying a seamless blend of a majestic bird and a small ship. Its intricate metalwork enhanced by polished wood. Emphasising the glowing crystalline elements that ran along the body to its aerodynamic wings extending gracefully from its sides.
Kael traced his fingers over the engraved words etched into the bronze-metal steering handles. To be great is to fail, to fail is to be great. His mother's words echoed in his mind. Memories of their past struggles resurfaced—the financial hardships, his mother's difficult upbringing as an abandoned child, and his father's laborious servitude to the Seers Council. Focus, Kael! He shook his head trying to ignore his father, and the Seers Council watching on from the boxed seats above.
Usually, it was just his father watching on, comforting, encouraging—even but today was different. The council members attended the big games. After all, it was they who had provided his Lumicors. Their presence, however, was intimidating. His father couldn't bare to watch, his hands covering his eyes. Kael shook his head again. Focus!

Fujifilm glass is quite expensive, but it seems to be more because Fujifilm doesn't make low-end/poocheap tier of lenses. As I'm not a lens swapper, I would be mostly using only one for a long time. So, it better be good.
Would the Fujifilm X-S10 + Fujinon XF 16-80mm f/4 R OIS WR be a good choice for me? It's basically the cheapest Fujifilm camera with IBIS and has got PDAF for better auto-focus. However, it's already more expensive than budget I imagined for my upgrade, as Canon, Nikon and Sony have more affordable cameras.

The primary criteria for picking a camera (brand) are:
- out of camera colors produce well usable SOOC JPEGs and video, because:
- I sit 8 hours a day behind the computer at my job, and hate sitting behind the computer more to develop RAWs into usable JPEGs, and also because of other pragmatic reasons,...
- PDAF for better focus reliability,
- IBIS for handheld use without gimbal or tripod,
- budget-friendly as it's hobby and not professional use.
- auto-focus reliability as best as possible once primary criteria are fulfilled.
Current camera issues:
- autofocus is bad in video, lots of focus hunting when filming moving kids or dogs, or jumping between both,
- low photography quality in low light in-doors, evenings, or sometimes even dim light,
- out of camera colors and not so good.
- amateur to hobby-pro landscape and travel photography,
- home and family non-professional videos,
- all-around lens for majority of shoots,
- shallow DoF object photography,
- aspect ratio 3:2 for 99% of photos,
- good 1080p 60fps video quality,
- good auto-focus with tracking of moving objects,
- wide end to be of 12mm or wider (24mm full-frame),
- lightweight for travel,
- non-premium pricing of lenses.
- higher MP to cover modern 6k displays, which would eventually become mainstream in 10+ years, to future-proof photos in terms of resolution as one can't re-shoot it again in the past,
- weathewater resistant to shoot beautiful non-sunny landscapes without complicated care for camera,
- future-proof lens mount (non-discontinued) in case of upgrading to better all-around lens in future,
- good tele zoom lens available for a good price.

It's at Mega Gengar tier, MILES ahead of all other non-megas, is one of the most useful shadows in raids among all types, and is very future proof.
Once released, Mega Tyranitar will become #1 Dark and #1 Rock, both in solo performance (though Mega Diancie will be better), and especially in group damage contribution due to its bulk. Dark or Rock? Save 1 non-shadow of each for the mega, then: Shadow Dark > Shadow Rock > Regular Dark = Hydreigon > Regular Rock.
IntroductionAt the start of the Season of Hidden Gems, we got our seasonal Go Battle League move update. As part of the update, Tyranitar can now learn Brutal Swing as part of its regular, non-legacy moveset, using a Regular Charged TM.Additionally, the season website has (accidentally?) revealed that Mega Tyranitar will make its debut in Mega Raids from July 25 to August 4 (full schedule on Go Hub). A detailed look at the website's source code also shows Mega Sableye release from June 29 to July 6. When I previously wrote about Tyranitar for its Community Day Classic in January, my tone was rather bleak, as regular Tyranitar had already fallen way below the tier lists of both rock and dark attackers. Quoted from the TL;DR back then: Unless you missed December CD, relax - 2023 is not 2018. Regular Tyranitar is not a must-have anymore.But that was when Tyranitar's dark moveset was Bite/Crunch, both being mediocre to bad moves. Now, Tyranitar can instead use Brutal Swing, a borderline overpowered (OP) move designed for Hydreigon to shine on its Community Day a year ago. Does Brutal Swing help both regular and Shadow Tyranitar restore its 2017 glory? How will Mega Tyranitar (and Mega Sableye) perform in raids once they arrive? I'll address these questions with the following parts:

A legacy fast move - why each Tyranitar can't double dutyA minor note that should be obvious for veteran players, but still useful to point out.To function as a rock type, Tyranitar needs Smack Down, a legacy fast move. This means you can't build a single Tyranitar and TM back and forth between dark and rock movesets. An individual Tyranitar is locked in as either a rock type or a dark type, not both. This may force you to build twice as many Tyranitars as you normally would - a dark team and a rock team - if necessary. Do note that you will be able to get Smack Down by evolution during December 2023 Community Day, without needing an Elite Fast TM. And if you really want to, you can TM a Smack Down Tyranitar to Bite. It's a one-way street: Rock -> Dark is a yes, Dark -> Rock is a no (or at least expensive). Part 1: Tyranitar as a Dark Attacker[Part 1 TL;DR] Shadow Tyranitar redefines the Dark/Ghost meta, being at Mega Gengar tier, and L30 Shadow Ttar = L50 other options. It's now a Tier 1 shadow in utility across all types.Regular Tyranitar is virtually the same as Hydreigon, mayyybe 1% worse and typing-dependent. Mega Tyranitar is also at Mega Gengar tier, and will likely be the choice for a Dark/Ghost Mega from now on. Dark and Ghost attackers ranked by their average in-raid performance, using ASE and ASTTW. Charts of ASE with and without dodging are here. Brutal Swing is a HUGE upgrade on Tyranitar: an 18% improvement, almost the same as shadow vs. non-shadow, and enough to cross several tiers.
Shadow Tyranitar (Dark)'s Incredible Utility[Section TL;DR] Due to the high utility of dark/ghost types (many bosses to use them against), Shadow Tyranitar is now one of the most useful raid attackers across all types. This will remain the case even after most future shadows (including shadow legendaries) are released. A solid Tier 1 shadow for raiding.I've always treated dark and ghost types as "one" of the most useful types for raiding, if not the most useful. Their main roles are anti-psychic and anti-ghost, and it happens that there's a crazy number of psychic-type T5 bosses (perhaps the most common type among legendaries). Back when I wrote the Shadow Mewtwo analysis in January, I defined a "Strength and Utility" (S&U) metric, which combines individual powers of raid attackers with the number of raids they can be used against. For example, Shadow Mewtwo as a psychic type doesn't do too well, because psychic attackers are rarely needed. With all expected future Gen 1-5 shadows at that time - which included Shadow Hydreigon, but not Shadow Tyranitar with Brutal Swing - the metric looked like this: Strength and Utility (S&U) metric with Gen 1-5 shadows in January 2023. \"(Shadow) Hydreigon\" on this chart is a close approximation for Shadow Tyranitar with Brutal Swing. Treat the "Hyderigon" on the chart as Shadow Tyranitar. That means... Shadow Tyranitar (dark) is one of the most useful raid attackers - #1 by the S&U metric. Both right now, and in a future where all Gen 1-5 shadows are released. The incredibly powerful (future) shadow legendaries that you're thinking of: Shadow Mewtwo, Groudon, Rayquaza, Terrakion... In terms of utility, they all pale in comparison to Shadow Tyranitar.
Comparisons: Mega & Shadow Tyranitar, and Mega Gengar[Section TL;DR] Mega > Shadow Ttar. Mega Gengar technically "wins" more often than both (and still has the highest DPS/TTW), but it's very unreliable, and when it fails, it fails very badly.Mega Tyranitar vs. Shadow Tyranitar vs. Mega Gengar (L40 best friends) Mega Tyranitar vs. Mega Gengar: (Individual power, without damage boosting)
Shadow Tyranitar vs. Mega Gengar:
Comparisons: Regular Tyranitar vs. Hydreigon and others[Section TL;DR] Hydreigon is technically still better, but only by 1%, and basically typing-dependent. Tyranitar outclasses most other options, arguably except Shadow Weavile.Tyranitar vs. other similar Dark and Ghost attackers (L40 best friends) Everything listed here used to be the "golden standard" for dark and ghost. Now, even non-shadow Tyranitar at least puts up a fight, if not straight up outclasses them. (Recall that Shadow Tyranitar is above all of them by 18%.) Starting with Tyranitar vs. Hydreigon, as it's the most relevant pair.
Tyranitar basically outclasses the rest (Darkrai, Giratina-O, Chandelure, Gholdengo), aside from typing disadvantages, such as Focus Blast Mewtwo. Dark and Ghost-type Mega Comparisons[Section TL;DR] Mega Tyranitar > all dark megas, and > Mega Gengar unless everyone else uses ghost. Mega Sableye disappoints.Comparison of dark- and ghost-type megas, in terms of damage up to a fixed time frame (relative to the no-mega baseline). Big type icons denote attackers that other raiders use. As usual, this chart looks at the question "which mega contributes the most damage to the group", accounting for both its own damage output and its mega boost to other raiders. Note that Primal Kyogre/Groudon in the 6th slot may still be the best way to contribute damage (method explained in my Mega Pinsir analysis). If you don't want to "use" a Primal... Yes, Mega Tyranitar will outclass all Dark-type Megas on all fronts - in both power (Houndoom) and group boosting (Gyarados). Comparing to Mega Gengar:
Part 2: Mega Tyranitar as a Rock Attacker[Part 2 TL;DR] Mega Tyranitar's individual power is barely above Mega Aerodactyl (current best rock type), and slightly below Mega Diancie. However, its superior bulk makes it the best mega for contributing damage in group raids.Rock attackers ranked by their average in-raid performance, using ASE and ASTTW. Charts of ASE with and without dodging are here. In individual power, Mega Tyranitar is the best rock attacker, being better than Mega Aerodactyl... But just barely.
Rock-type Mega ComparisonsComparison of rock-type megas, in terms of damage up to a fixed time frame (relative to the no-mega baseline).Very simple chart. In short... Shadow Tyranitar is pretty darn future-proof as a dark type. Future Rock AttackersOn the other hand, as a rock type, Shadow Tyranitar is waiting to be outclassed by future shadows. In particular, Shadow Rhyperior and Shadow Rampardos. (And to a less extent, Shadow Terrakion and Shadow Gigalith.)I covered them in my CD Classic analysis in January, including possibilities of Tyranitar receiving better rock-type moves. Part 4: Verdict - Dark or Rock?So here's a punchline:Do you want a #1 dark that's miles ahead of other dark types, or a #1 rock that's only barely ahead of other rock types? i recently switched auto insurance as my policy was ending on 5/14/23. i started with the new insurance (progressive if that matters) on 5/15/23 and got into a collision on 5/27/23.
it was a "left of center"? where the oncoming driver didnt see my car, and turned into me. i swerved, and got the corner of my car.
adjuster and i finally got in contact, and i was told that due to timing, they have to investigate. i understand that 100%, but was wondering how long these things usually take.
i just dont want to harass the adjuster anymore since we spoke once and they havent reached back out again

it was a "left of center"? where the oncoming driver didnt see my car, and turned into me. i swerved, and got the corner of my car.
adjuster and i finally got in contact, and i was told that due to timing, they have to investigate. i understand that 100%, but was wondering how long these things usually take.
i just dont want to harass the adjuster anymore since we spoke once and they havent reached back out again

Today's the day. I'm new here but, I'm going to try my best to get this out, as I have been browsing this thread for a few weeks now yet, have been exmo for approximately 15 years. I have been aware of reddit for some time and would some times listen to reddit comps on YT. I knew that based off of how deep I have delved into certain rabbit holes that I would one day end up here. To read mainly, but today, I have decided to write.
I grew up near the Sacred Grove in Palmyra, NY. I have been to all of the sights there, maybe 2-4 times some of them. The 'grove', I recall taking some nature walk at about the age of what they would call Activity Days, back then it was called Achievement Days. I have been into that temple at least once (twice I think) to perform baptisms for the dead. My life story need be some background no matter how I try to swing it. My biological parents were separated before I was born after having served time in England, in the U.S. Air Force. Father back down South, Mom to upstate NY. They were both relocated to their home states and though my father never stepped foot in NY, he would soon be deemed an 'Abandoned parent' by NY law and granted limited access to any info. about me, his daughter. My mom began lessons with the elders and soon had met the man I call my Dad when I was about six months old at which point she started lessons over again so that he could also hear the word of the decided true Church of God. After a temple marriage, a reception in our gym with plenty of nevermo family/ friends and secular music on the playlist, a sister 4 years my junior and a brother 6 years my junior, my parents split around the time I was 7. I recall peeping out of some crystal glass next to our front door on a Sunday after church and finding, my mom, who had been a prominent member of the Relief Society, was smoking a cigarette on the front steps. Not long after they divorced, she left the church, ended up with someone else for 9 years and the rest is history. Dad however, would later date and end up on LDS singles where he would remarry to a woman who would eventually take us out to Utah where we would meet much of her generational family members and go to plenty of places around SLC, Jordan, Ogden, Logan, etc., you name it, for different family reunions, baptisms, church services, sight seeing in Temple square, etc. The woman and my Dad would seek marriage counseling from a bishop, a very old friend of my Dad who had served in bishopric together. (My Dad has served as first/second counselor). He would one day end up leaving his wife of say, 35 years and making time to spend with my dad's wife he had brought around from out-of-state and had in our family approximately 2yrs at that point. The bishop and my ex-stepmother would be tried in front of the stake president and excommunicated. My Dad was in extremely rough shape at the time to put it lightly and the bishop's ex wife, a friend of the family, looked sickly every time I would see her for weeks, constantly sobbing, as well as not receiving sacrament for whatever reason they saw her needing to be further punished. Sick. I have plenty more but, this seems a great mess to start with. I am 27, I left almost 13. However, I did occasionally attend Young Woman's well after I had left. I went on a spiritual journey. Seeking answers in many forms as many do. Delving into Christianity, atheism, agnosticism, world religions, spirit science, and ultimately referring to myself as an intensely curious, devote Pantheist. I have a little one of my own with a lot of questions to answer about God and Jesus. I'm learning to just roll with the punches. We focus on gratitude largely, and Karma, I'd say. Here I am, free as a jay bird, and the little girl in me, would have never seen it remotely possible. I was a real spokeschild for the doctrine. One who at maybe four, would enjoy hanging out in the genealogy area, or the little girl who at 11 performed in 'Woman at the Well', or got accepted into ward choir despite minimal 18yr rules, or the 3yo who recalls coming out of Pageant half-asleep (in Palmyra) late at night with 'Anti-Mormons' (likely Baptists) holding picket signs in our faces and wearing devil costumes or scream mask and saying we were going to hell, yelling bible verses about the damnation that my little soul would succumb to.... (My Dad has served as first/second counselor). He would one day end up leaving his wife of say, 35 years and making time to spend with my dad's wife he had brought around from out-of-state and had in our family approximately 2yrs at that point. The bishop and my ex-stepmother would be tried in front of the stake president and excommunicated. My Dad was in extremely rough shape at the time to put it lightly and the bishop's ex wife, a friend of the family, looked sickly every time I would see her for weeks, constantly sobbing, as well as not receiving sacrament for whatever reason they saw her needing to be further punished. Sick. I have plenty more but, this seems a great mess to start with. I am 27, I left almost 13. However, I did occasionally attend Young Woman's well after I had left. I went on a spiritual journey. Seeking answers in many forms as many do. Delving into Christianity, atheism, agnosticism, world religions, spirit science, and ultimately referring to myself as an intensely curious, devote Pantheist. I have a little one of my own with a lot of questions to answer about God and Jesus. I'm learning to just roll with the punches. We focus on gratitude largely, and Karma, I'd say. Here I am, free as a jay bird, and the little girl in me, would have never seen it remotely possible. I was a real spokeschild for the doctrine. One who at maybe four, would enjoy hanging out in the genealogy area, or the little girl who at 11 performed in 'Woman at the Well', or got accepted into ward choir despite minimal 18yr rules, or the 3yo who recalls coming out of Pageant half-asleep (in Palmyra) late at night with 'Anti-Mormons' (likely Baptists) holding picket signs in our faces and wearing devil costumes or scream mask and saying we were going to hell, yelling bible verses about the damnation that my little soul would succumb to.... Friend A and B - no personal cars, so no personal car insurance, both have credit cards that provide Auto Rental Collision/ Loss Damage Insurance.
Friend C - owns a car and has a personal car insurance with an OPCF27 endorsement (covers rental cars). Also has credit card that provides Auto Rental Collision/ Loss Damage Insurance.
We will add each other as Additional Drivers with the rental company regardless of who rents the car.
Questions: 1. Who would be better off renting the car in their name? 2. Should we opt for LDW/CDW from Avis even though our credit cards cover it? 3. How will it impact Friend C’s personal insurance, if s/he rents a car and something happens? 4. How does the Third Party Liability insurance works with rental cars?

I was very pleasantly surprised to see the points change to these two ships in the last update. It makes me wonder if perhaps AMG is thinking of reintroducing them into standard play 🤞🏻🤞🏻. Very curious to learn everyone's opinion on them, If they were to enter standard in their current state, would any of you folks consider taking them? and what loudouts would you be building them out with?
The E-Wings seem decently cost efficient to me now, with enough load-out for a couple different neat options to tweak them into flanker, objective or even jousting roles.

How many shots of 13% wine would get me drunk or at least buzzed? Only drank one other time in my life, 15 years of age and about 150lbs.
About a week ago in my NY house i saw some vodka and wondered what it would be like to get drunk.
I’ve tried it all, DXM, Oxy, Marijuana, Nicotine, Mushrooms…etc, i’ve been sober for a while from all substance use and was bored.
Did my research, and ended up pouring some vodka in a glass cup, mixed it with gatorade and chugged it. Didn’t feel much after, so i decided to pour even more vodka two more times and drank it all at once. About 40 minutes later i was so out of it, i was having a great time, everything felt super weird, talking to myself in the mirror without even realizing..etc…
And boy, the next day felt like absolute SHIT. I was puking almost all day, felt depressed, extremely tired, super dehydrated, all the above.
Now since i’m back at my MA house, i’ve looked around and all i can find is Wine and some beer, no hard alcohol. Few nights ago i drank about two shots of 13% and didn’t really feel much.
(ik wine is usually drank from a glass and not a shot, but im planning to use shots instead of glasses)
How much would you recommend? Thanks!
