On Monday my apartment was broken into and all of my shit was stolen, I bought some papers and rolled a joint but it’s not the same. Why do humans have to be shitty? Like I work hard for my shit and I’m poor enough as it is with inflation I’m just trying to scrape by and I get some asshole breaking in and stealing my stuff. They weren’t happy with my laptop and my tablets and decided to give me a personal fuck you when they stole my weed.

This is my first time writing a somewhat detailed review of a product so please be nice <3
The Core 2.1 by crossing is a very reasonably priced concentrate vaporizee rig. Coming in at around £150 it is almost half the price of the top 2 most popular e rigs, those being the Puffco Peak Pro and the Focus V Carta 2 which both will set you back at least £300, with the Puffco coming in at closer to £450.
Competition aside, the Core 2.1 comes with a hard shell fabric carry case with a small net pocket inside that I have found to fit perfectly a 1g jar of concentrate, my Crossing HDT mini, some q tips, alcohol wipes and the charging cable. The fact that I can fit everything I would need to use the e rig into the case is a bonus and the case is relatively small so fitting it into a rucksack or a bag when you're going out is a simple task.
Functionality the Core 2.1 does everything i would want it to. The heat up times are exceptionally fast. I mainly use the device in the green heat setting which takes around 13 seconds to reach temperature. It will stay heated at the chosen temperature for around 80 seconds this includes the “preheat” time. Once the time runs out the device vibrates and starts to cool down, here you are given 3 options: either finish your session and clean the bowl. Or if you have some concentrate left you can either double press the button to re-heat for another session or hold the button down to create a more on demand way of heating.
Cleaning the device is a pleasure, with everything being very easy to take off the main rig this makes it especially easy to get around every single piece to get it nice and clean. As with all rigs both electric and torch powered it is always recommended to clean the bowl thoroughly with a q tip after every use, this is to make the more routine cleaning that much easier. For the routine cleaning which I would recommend you do anywhere from once a week to every 2 weeks depending on use, you should start by taking all the parts off the main base. The atomizer can be submerged into cleaning alcohol, the glass can be filled with the same cleaning alcohol and if needed some salt depending on how dirty it is and giving it a good shake to get rid of any resin build up. The housing for the atomiser can be wiped with an alcohol wipe as with the carb cap. I tend to rinse the glass with water after doing the alcohol clean just to make sure there's as little alcohol residue left in the chamber.
If i was to pick some negatives that i don’t like about the device then i would say that compared to other e rigs the overall design is not the most visually appealing, but not as bad as other devices on the market. Also i would say that i am worried about the longevity of the carb cap. This is due to it only being connected by a small piece of rubber that may get worn or snap over time. However, as with all the parts of the Core 2.1 they can all be bought separately should you ever experience any damage.
Overall, for anyone interested in e rigs, whether you are a seasoned veteran or a newbie id say you can’t go wrong with the Core 2.1 for the price. It punches well above its weight class and competes very well with some of the more expensive options on the market. The device has very quickly become the only thing I ever use and will be for the foreseeable future. The only difference being I may treat myself to a glass recycler to replace the stock glass on the rig.
TL:DR - the Core 2.1 in my opinion is the best bang for your buck e rig on the market right now.
