I posted here before, but did not get much response. I'm hoping that this time will yield at least a different perspective.
My wife was born in the UK to a black, Nigerian father and a white, French mother. Her mother abandoned the family when she was 12 and her younger sisters were 9, 9 (passed in 2019) and 7. Family prejudices, they didn't want her with a black foreigner from a third country and wanted her to marry a more acceptable man. She returned to France and did just that. Remarried and had 4 more kids. My wife and her sisters tried to reach out to them last year but were met with an unfavorable response. But her father did an incredible job of raising them on his own. She came to the USA for college and that is where we met. She taught me French, I taught her Italian (I am Italian-American, 2nd gen.). We got married in September of our junior year of college at 20. Here we are almost 20 years later and 7 kids into this.
My father and sisters-in-law were visiting with us from the UK. Our kids were all upstairs and myself, my wife, her father and her sisters were in the kitchen/living room area having a drink. Seemed that my father-in-law was having an epiphany over his glass of wine and apologized for all the grief that their mother caused when she left them. Wife responds in French, "That is what you get for sticking your dick in chaos." He looked like she had slapped him. In Italian, so no one else would understand, I told her to consider that this was a man who came to a strange country with nothing, managed to raise 4 incredible and accomplished women on his own after his wife left because of the hate and prejudice in her family's hearts, who would've tried to move heaven and earth if he thought it would give his children a good chance in life and who managed to go on after burying one of his daughters one week after her 33rd birthday. A lesser man would've crumbled a long time ago and I asked her to please hear him out. She responded in Italian and told me to stay out of it. Her sisters reminded us English or French please and the night went on normally.
I had a long talk with her father on our back porch about everything and told him what I said to her in Italian. Admittedly, I shouldn't have done that. When I went upstairs to our room, she asked me if me and her dad were best friends now or something. Accused me of taking his side when I told her that I did tell him what I said to her in Italian. She was fairly angry at me when she went to sleep. They all left this morning right after we went to church. When we got home, we sat on the porch and I apologized to her, told her I didn't realize how angry she was at her father and asked where did that remark about the dick and chaos come from. She then brought up our wedding in Sept 2003. Her father had every intention of being there but that same week, he had to fly to Nigeria to be with his ailing father and as the first born had to be there for certain burial customs and to sort out his affairs. He missed the wedding and reception. I know that she had been angry with him for quite some time about it but as the years passed, it seemed that she had become more understanding. At least from what I gathered whenever we spoke about our wedding.
She talked about how angry she was at her father for not doing his due diligence and marrying a woman whose family did not approve of who he fundamentally was in terms of race and ethnicity. How isolated she and her sisters had grown up from the entire maternal half of her family and even when she reached out to her adult half siblings, the response had been disinterest and more rejection. We've talked about that frequently, how she's felt rejected by her mother and her mother's family. She wrote letters and sent pictures as a kid with no response. Her mother came to our college graduation as well as her sisters', my wife's graduation from her PhD, our wedding and my wife's sister's funeral in the UK in 2019, the first time our children met her face to face. Those were all the handful of times my wife saw her since she disappeared on them in 1995.All the big moments and even then there was minimal contact/interaction. No one could blame her for being angry, no one could blame any of them for being angry. After about 2 hours of talking, I finally mentioned counseling to talk with a professional and she immediately closed up on me. Told me she's dealing with it how she deals and that she doesn't need therapy. She just walked off.
The day is going on normally, I suppose, but I can't help but feel like I took 10 steps back after making a little bit of progress with this situation. The kids have been asking all weekend if she's okay and I just don't want them worrying about it. Ultimately, I want her to go to therapy because I think it would be helpful for her to deal with that anger.

 | 2019 was a hard year for NLMB, losing members back to back to different opps and starting a new bloody war with DeathRow, in 2020 the war will slow down due to a lot of factors. Ghost also known as Rat was a respected OG from GME, i am not sure if he was the target or not but DeathRow and Lakeside dissed him a lot, Fa Fa Fa said they killed Ghost and ever since then GME didn't do anything for him, ignore the video from the store, that's not Ghost, it's a mistake by the one who made the post, the one who died in the store was an innocent as far as i know and it happen way after Ghost died. This happen in the same month DeathRow killed Willie, DeathRow was sliding a lot in 2019. Ghost was outside with multiple people in his own hood when shots rang out from an unknown direction, he was shot multiple times in the chest and he died at the hospital. "Ghost got hit up" 0:58 Michael "Aero 🕊️" Portis01/05/2020One of the reasons i believed Savo 🕊️ was killed by kings was Aero death, months after Savo died, Aero was sliding with FatLord 🔒 on some kings, which made sense at least during that time, Savo died in a hood cool with the kings, Aero is sliding on the kings, it was making sense into my head that Aero died trying to get revenge for Savo + that's what i was told, again i was wrong. As i said in my previous post, Savo was killed by NLMB, Aero was just a hothead who was sliding on his opps, nothing weird. Aero was on the frontline and did a lot of dirt for DeathRow, he earned the nickname "23" for a reason, in my previous post i put a screenshot with Fa Fa Fa straight up saying Aero killed G Dottie 🕊️. I know a lot of people believed Aero killed an innocent, but people told me that Garcia 🕊️ was a known king, why would Aero and FatLord slide on some innocents and specifically target them? Aero and FatLord were driving a turquoise SUV when they made a U-turn at the end of the street and parked in the block close to a king hood, both got out of the SUV with armed 9-mm handguns and approached Garcia and his neighbor as they were outside talking, they opened fire hitting the neighbor in the arm and hitting Garcia multiple times, Garcia returned fire with his own weapon striking Aero multiple times who died at the scene, FatLord was also shot multiple times, FatLord left Aero there and went to a hospital with the SUV in the same clothes that CPD saw on the footage. Garcia was pronounced dead at the hospital, police recovered 19 9-mm shell casings and 10 .40-caliber shell casings from the crime scene. This is a very controversial situation because at first, people said after FatLord recovered from his wounds, he told the police what happen and also snitched on BD 🕊️ but now they saying free him, they saying that someone else ratted and not him, but according to this article, CPD is using FatLord as a source, FatLord was the one who allegedly was the driver on the Willie hit, FatLord is still locked up so who knows. The scanner also confirms that they was sliding on some kings because they was having problems lately, it could be possible that some kings gave the location of Savo to NLMB, Savo was killed right at his home so NLMB probably got the drop from someone. NLMB and ABK will diss Aero hard because he killed G Dottie, someone also recorded Aero on the ground, which was heavily mocked by his opps. "Lil Aero a dumbass got hit on a hit" 0:23 Tristan "Tedo G 🕊️" Rogers04/05/2020NLMB first loss in 2020 but not because of gun violence, Tedo was from the MuskegonBoyz clique, he was killed by a car in DucciWay 🔱 hood, there is not a lot to say about him, he was a respected OG who was either related to Kobe 🕊️ or close to him. Shianne "Anna 🕊️" Reynolds04/19/2020Anna was a very loved member from MTG 079 now more known as BiyoBlock, she was Biyo 🕊️ sister, at first people believed that she was not gangbanging but that's false, there is a lot of captions with her saying she was using guns to slide, i don't think she was active when she died in that life and she probably was not the target either. However, she probably was active in the past and as we all know, the past is catching up to you, her vigil was also shot, allegedly by NLMB again. What i know is this, allegedly NLMB saw some MTG 079 members in traffic in SirconnCity 🔱 hood, they sped up behind them and shot the whole car, Anna was just unlucky since she was in the car with them, she was hit in the head and CPD pronounced her dead at the scene. This was one of the first getback NLMB got for Capo, but it will not stop here, NLMB will get more getback for Capo months later. 2020 was a hard year for MTG 079, they lost 4 members, Anna 🕊️, Pook 🕊️ who was not killed by any opps, LB 🕊️ an original who was also close to Biyo, LB was killed in DrillCity 📶🔱🅱️ hood, last one is Jeezy Snow 🕊️, we will get later to him. Anthony "C-Note 🕊️" Smith04/27/2020C-Note was an OG from NLMB, to be more specific he was from the MuskegonBoyz clique, from what i know he passed away from natural causes, nothing to do with gun violence. He was born in 1985 so he was old compared to a lot of main members from MuskegonBoyz clique like G Farro for example, you could say he was from that White Folks generation. Junius "BoBo 🕊️" Thurston05/07/2020BoBo was a very loved member from ABK, he was one of the main faces from there. BoBo was also a rapper, one of his best songs Pigs Hot where you can see a lot of ABK members including Yogi 🕊️, BoBo was close to NLMB as well, he did a song with Juvie and before his death you could see him around G Herbo. BlackMobb was having a field day when BoBo was killed, even though BoBo left that life behind while starting a truck company, it's not like your opps will forgive you or forget that you did dirt in the streets or hurt their people, that shit is stucked until you die, even if you are 30, 40, as long as you put yourself in danger(go back to the city) you can get killed anywhere. BoBo exit his car and went to a gas station in a relatively safe area far away from any hood, a black Audi pull up and a rear passenger open fire, he ran north from the station but then a gunman got out of the car and chased after him, firing more shots. BoBo collapsed and the gunman caught up to him standing over him and fired more shots, BoBo was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said he was shot multiple times. BlackMobb were not the only ones having a field day with his death, PocketTown also dissed him: "BoBo got his ass smoked, 20 bullets took his soul" 2:45 It is sad because BlackMobb and ABK were like this, but friends are turning to enemies and both sides lost main members in this war. Lee "KTS Rio 🕊️" Cameron07/12/2020If you follow the drill scene, then you know who was KTS Rio, one of the main faces from PocketTown and Lil Los 🔒 little brother, he was a huge loss for PocketTown, after his death a lot of stuff went down. Rio was driving a vehicle with two other teenagers near a gas station in KakiWorld 🔱🅱️⭐️✊🏿 hood when a silver SUV pulled up and someone inside started shooting, Rio was shot multiple times and he was pronounced dead at the hospital. The 14-year-old boy was shot in the back and a 17-year-old boy was hit in the right arm, both were taken to the hospital in good condition. After his death PocketTown goes by "RioGang" in his honour, Rio was also one of their main rappers, one of his most known song is NLMBK, Faro dissed him in a song after he died: "Rio got hit and they left his ass twitching" 0:38 "Rio got hit, y'all ain't get your getback" 1:05 A lot of people are saying NLMB killed KTS Rio but if you watch Freeband BoBo 🕊️ video that CH88 made, it is very clear that NLMB didn't do anything to Rio, because the war started when Lil Greg 🕊️ was killed, that's also what BoBo said. The beef was not serious until Lil Greg died, BoBo also said the whole war started because of a bitch, Lil Greg wanted to call his guys to kill BoBo because of a girl. Feel free to watch the video, it's explaining a lot of stuff. Remember there is a difference between "twitter beef" like disses and blood beef, KTS Dre did dirt on NLMB but he did that for Lakeside while PocketTown was his second hood(he started to claim PocketTown after KTS Von died), so Lil Greg was the first guy to die in that beef, we will get later to him. Now honestly it is not known who killed KTS Rio, but one of the most plausible theory is that SirconnCity killed him, months after KTS Rio died, PocketTown lost KDawg 🕊️, another top member while sliding on SirconnCity hood, his article doesn't mention anything about sliding but both sides said that. "We doing hits without hoodies and masks, Rio got hit, he got stretched like an elastic" 1:08 "KDawg got hit on a hit, he dead" 0:24 They are main opps but since PocketTown top members were sliding, i think that means something, especially after Rio died. This won't stop at KTS Rio, this year would be the most hardest year for PocketTown, they will lose 6 members in one year and they was all top members, but not all of them were killed by opps. Big Glizzy/Lil James 🕊️ (June 07 2020), killed at a party in Robbins, a suburb of Chicago. KTS Rio 🕊️ (July 12 2020), KDawg 🕊️ (September 27 2020), Nuke 30 🕊️ (November 25 2020), killed OT, LA Glizzy/Lil Ant 🕊️ (January 12 2021), killed OT, Killa Spook 🕊️ (March 26 2021), we will get later to Killa Spook. "They lost 6 niggas in one year, tryna make the rest of them disappear" 1:53 Antoine "BT 🕊️" Rose08/22/2020BT was a very loved member from NLMM and 358Gang, he claimed both sets, he was also close to NLMB, one of the reasons he died. Even though NLMB and 358Gang are opps, as i said in my previous parts, NLMM was always a set focusing on money, they was never known to slide like that, so that's probably why he was close to NLMB and cool with NLMB opps, 358Gang. BT also appeared on the Maurice show. I think everyone knows that Fa Fa Fa straight up said they killed BT, so why they killed him? Well even though BT was not involved in their beef, it doesn't matter, he was close to NLMB and 358Gang killed Mook 🕊️ in 2019, so DeathRow got their getback for him. I don't think BT was the specific target because the shooting occured in TheBush 👑🦁 territory, which are opps to DeathRow. BT was shot in the head and in the abdomen, CPD pronounced him dead at the scene, a 32 year old man was also shot in the abdomen and in the leg, he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Sean "Cello Da Shoota 🕊️" Wilson09/07/2020There was a lot of back and forth between NoGood and NLMB, mainly because NLMB killed Montae 🕊️ and it was forever stuck there, even though NoGood and NLMB are old opps, that beef was really inactive compared to Lakeside for example, but this all changed when Montae was killed, Montae was very loved by NoGood and like Jeff Fort said "there is not going to be any killing without killing" Cello was not really a main face from NLMB, he was from the NoLimit clique but his original hood was JBG 🔱 also known as MoneGang. Cello was driving with someone else in the car in NoGood ⭐️✊🏿 hood, Jay Savage and Deonte 🔒 fired shots and the person in the backseat fired back, hitting one of them in the forearm, Cello was hit in the neck and died at the hospital, the other person was listed in good condition after being shot in his thigh, he has a license to carry his gun. Jay Savage and Deonte were both charged with his murder, both were from NoGood and close to Montae. Deshawn "Jeezy Snow 🕊️" Fletcher10/15/2020Jeezy was in ABK 4️⃣🍸⭐️✊🏿🔱 hood driving his car when Mally 🔒 opened fire from the sunroof of a silver Chrysler 300, he was shot multiple times in the head, neck and upper torso, he died at the hospital two days later. There is a lot of contradiction of the car used in the murder, what we know for sure is that Mally shot from the sunroof. Mally also searched the murder on google to see if Jeezy died. This was a a crazy hit for many reasons, one of them is that Lil Wet was driving the car, Lil Wet did this two months after he beat his quadruple murder case, the case is complicated but to this day Mally is still locked up for it. The full foia if you want to read more, from what i know the case is very strong against Mally but let's be real, Lil Wet beat a quadruple murder, everything is possible in Chicago, so i won't be surprised if he is beating it. Lil Wet also hinted in his song "Nun Stop" about the hit, the music video was deleted or made private, but the audio version is still up. "Gotta ride for my gang, Steph got the wheel, Lil Mally might come out the roof " 0:44 Jeezy was actually very close to DoggPound 🅱️, you can see him around them in old videos and i think he was related to some members from there too, i am not sure if he was claiming DoggPound at one point but members from there still say rip to him, again it doesn't mean every DoggPound member was close to him. It is a complicated situation but this was another getback NLMB got for Capo, a top member from MTG 079 and very loved. Gregory "Lil Greg 🕊️" Jackson III01/28/2021The death that started all and guess what caused this? Well if you didn't guess it, it was a bitch, Lil Greg 🕊️ got into his feelings because BoBo 🕊️ was messing with a girl that he liked so when Lil Greg saw him, he tried to get the green light from other members to come and kill him right there, allegedly NLMB told him BoBo is not an opp and that he is staying out of the way, Lil Greg tried to call other members but it was too late. PocketTown members got the drop from BoBo and went to kill Lil Greg who was in a barbershop far away from EastSide, Lil Don 🔒 walked up to him and shot Lil Greg in the face inside the barbershop, he was pronounced dead shortly after at the hospital, CK was actually charged because they found him in the same car that was used in the murder, he stayed solid and beat the case, CK was the one driving. Lil Greg was a very loved member from NLMB and a main face from there, he was from the MuskegonBoyz clique but very close to G Herbo and even celebrities like 21 Savage paid respects to him, he was respected because he was a trapper making money from drugs to raise his kids, his death hurt a lot of people and you could say that his death made "DrenchGang" more famous because the getback was huge in terms of impact on the media, i am of course speaking about KTS Dre, his death was international news because of the way he died + Killa Spook, we will get later to them. "Me and Gregg was sharin' clothes, but we weren't really bros" 0:18 "Lil Greg died, that started some shit, but how many checked after broski got hit?" 0:36 he is also upping 4 fingers, which is probably a reference to Killa Spook, KTS Dre, BoBo and probably Lil Don from PaxTown. Moowop 🔒 also confirmed 3 opps died for Lil Greg, again most likely a reference to Killa Spook, KTS Dre and BoBo. Lil Don was also shot multiple times but he survived NLMB was hurt but the opps were dissing Lil Greg hard, especially Lil Don: Lil Don called Lil Greg biggest score of 2021 This started a new bloody war in the EastSide which caused a lot of damage, members getting locked up, members getting killed, members getting shot and so on, PocketTown was also unlucky to get hit with a "RICO" and most of their top members got locked up, there is barely any main faces out there besides Denny G and Lil Ant, they also have internal beef now. The indictment also mentions they found the gun which was used in Lil Greg murder, the whole situation was fucked up for PocketTown, they lost like 10 members to this indictment + Lil Don got locked up + internal beef, the whole hood was hit hard by this indictment and a lot of "snitching" rumours are in the air. The members who got locked up are Lil Rah 🔒, EJ(he was released), Rello 🔒, Dreski 🔒 MT Larry🔒 who actually shot back when Spook died, Corey Got Clout 🔒, PacMigo 🔒, Dwight 🔒 and DreadHead Larry 🔒 Dante "Killa Spook 🕊️" Thomas03/26/2021Killa Spook was like a leader in PocketTown, he had a lot of respect and his name says it all "Killa Spook" it's not a name you earn for doing nothing, he was a known killer who did a lot for PocketTown, him and KTS Von 🕊️ went to slide on Lamron in the past, he was very active, him and Denny G were sliding on SirconnCity as well. Spook 🕊️ was partying with a lot of members inside StainCity🔱⭐️✊🏿 hood, it was a party for their fallen member KDawg 🕊️ who was killed sliding on SirconnCity in 2020, two shooters(this might be PocketTown shooting back but i personally think those are the offenders), NLMB and GME got the drop from a bitch and shot the whole party up, Killa Spook was shot by a stray bullet through a window, he was pronounced dead at the scene, Lord was shot in the head and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition, Denny G was taken to the hospital in critical condition and he recovered after some time, other members got shot as well but it was nothing serious like the ones i mentioned above. Right after the party got shot up, PocketTown went to slide on NLMB and hit someone in the leg, there are a lot of things that points NLMB for doing this hit but it is confirmed that GME was also involved, Lil B from GME was arrested by CPD with the car used in the murder, he was released because CPD didn't had proof that he did the murder. There are many names around Spook death, Faro, Lil Ro, Twino 🕊️, EMoe from GME, 7Moe 🕊️ from GME, it is not known exactly who killed Spook but it is hard to tell, what should be confirmed for sure is that it was a NLMB/GME hit, even CPD and FBI believes that. In case you guys don't know, FBI was trying to build a RICO but their main suspect Max 🕊️ was killed, so i think the case is really not that strong anymore. Quick backstory: my (27, F) parents divorced 10 years ago. It was a really messy divorce, with lots of court cases even after the divorce was settled. One court case was just last year, where the judge decided that my dad (53) is not allowed to contact my mom (47) in any way. You also have to know that my dad is a complete narcissist and my mom was diagnosed as bipolar just a few years ago. It’s been a rough journey, but she’s a lovely person despite her mental illness.
In 2022, while in a depressive episode, my mom moved in with my grandma (her mother). Which, in retrospect, was not a good idea. There was a lot of tension between her and my grandma (65) as my grandma did not know how to deal with my moms mental illness. This caused a falling out and they haven’t talked for about 6 months.
In december 2022 I had to admit my grandma to the hospital due to a lung infection. She always had problems with her lung due to being a smoker and we knew the situation is critical. So of course I let my mom know about her health situation. After a few days in the hospital my grandma was admitted to the ICU because her health declined massively.. my mom visited her every day for a month. The doctors tried everything but unfortunately it was time to say goodbye. Mom and me held her hand as she took her last breath on February 3rd 2023.
It was heartbraking, especially for my mom.
On February 6th I got a call from my dad asking me if he can come to the funeral. I said no, because i knew that my mom would break down even more if she saw him there. Losing her own mother is hard enough.
He was not happy with my answer and started screaming at me. Saying that my mom has no right to be there because of the falling out and that she should stay home so he can go. I ended the call crying after he told me that I am taking away his right to show his ex mother in law his last respects. I knew he only wanted to come to hurt my mom.
He has not spoken to me since, telling my whole family that i ruined our relationship because i put my “crazy” mom first.
(Oh and quick sidenote, February 7th was my birthday and all i got was a text message saying “anyway, happy birthday)
He refuses to speak to me unless i apologise for my “bad behaviour”.
So, am i the asshole for not letting him go to the funeral and standing by my decision?

When my daughters mom and exwife died 10 years ago, someone brought a big box of something I never would have thought to ask for. Paper plates, napkins, paper towels, TOILET PAPER, utensils. Everyone wants to bring food and you often get inundated with food but having so many people around you forget about all of that other stuff. We adopted the practice at our restaurant. If someone mentions that they are ordering food because someone died we include a grief package from us for free that includes these items along with a personal note from my wife and I expressing our condolences.
We didn't do it for any other reason than we knew how much we appreciated it when it happened to us. However it has done something that we didn't expect. We became our towns place to go for funeral catering. This practice got talked about in the community without our being aware of it and very quickly we started getting a lot more catering. I believe the funeral homes even started telling their customers.
I share this to all of you because it costs very little to adopt but has had huge benefits to us. We aren't blood suckers hoping to drain the bank accounts of people grieving but it's a market we never would have thought of otherwise.

My mom owns a home in the lower mainland area. She has no retirement or savings, and barely makes ends meet and is actually slowly going into debt due to the unaffordability of things as she just works a full time job at a grocery store, but makes an okay wage for it being there for 30 years. My father and her broke up like 10 years ago (not married) and he has nothing on paper that he has contributed to this home and he just moved on didn't fight for anything as he has some issues with mental health. I am the oldest son with a younger brother and sister. My mom has told me when she passes if she doesn't sell this home for retirement reasons, everything will be passed down to me and I will be the one to be responsible for everything. I have no knowledge of the process of inheritance and a house and would like information on that. I also have my father and younger brother who are basically bums and have bad habits who will hunt me down for any money when they find out about this which they will. This shouldn't be happening anytime soon, but it will come at a time possibly and I want to be prepared. Whats are some senerios, things I'll need to be aware of, things to prepare for in the long run. I am 32m, no kids, no debt, full time job, some savings, not sure if I would live in the home, or sell. It would be nice to live in it but I would be harassed from my father and brother, for heavy amounts of money from the house. My youngest sister is nothing to worry about she would be easy to work with. I just don't even understand how the process works when someone who owns a home dies, passes down everything to you, and you have to handle things like a funeral, the house situation, and what would I even do or what would happen? I am not educated enough on thiw. Would someone contact me like the bank to sort this out? Anyone who's dealt with this I would like some input. She has stated it's going to be passed down but I suggested to her since she is struggling a bit, some debt, etc. Maybe she'll end up selling and renting at some point due to her barely scraping by living there and family being an issue. She screwed up her taxes last couple years trying to do it herself and just got property tax she can barely pay. So she has no savings, just got hit with 8k debt. Has more expenses coming up this year. Trying to help her be more financially smart, seems to not want to listen unfortunately as much as I want to help her. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

I wasn’t able to sleep again. Today I went to a memorial and my reasoning tells me it was messed up. The talk barely glossed over my relative who died. The only part even mentioning them was the beginning when the speaker said we can’t sum up a whole life in a few paragraphs. Then essentially tried went about and tried to convince the other families in attendance to join their religion. I’m unsure if this is how memorials are supposed to go but it was essentially going to church talking about the original sin, the devil, etc. I was already sad for the departed and I feel like I was the only one when everyone else got bored at church and just started being on their phones and watching videos and the like. They knew them more than I did and then just didn’t care. Immediately afterwords they had a barbecue like usually like nothing happened. Even the closest relatives weren’t too sad. =/ my reasoning tells me my memorial will be even worse and will be consumed by a religion I don’t worship just like the relative I lost. They didn’t worship that religion. But no one in the family wanted to give the eulogy so instead it went to a religion of one of the siblings and the elder took it as an opportunity to preach and get more worshipers for their religion. I was already sad from their loss and the implications from it, but now I’m just seeing even worse implications. The partner of the relative didn’t even stay after arriving and instead just went to hang out with people across the street. There was misspellings and a lack of spaces (in between words) for the obituary, and for the posters for the pictures there was an extreme amount of reused pics on the same poster. I counted 6 of the same on just one alone. To me it seemed like no one else really cared and saw it as an opportunity to do the usually family meet up and barbecue. I think it would be best for me to request to have no memorial or funeral at all

Okay, so... a few days ago I posted about a rewrite of all Elite seasons, dividing it into two parts (part 1: S1, S2 & S3, and part 2: S4, S5 & S6). It was a rewrite that I did about a year ago, and only a few days ago it occurred to me to upload it here without further ado, but several comments on the post from the last three seasons told me that they felt a little disconnected from the rest, that last seasons didn't had a general harmony between the characters and the story itself, and the truth is, you were right.
So, since I had nothing better to do at home, I began to think of some way to accommodate that, and well, this is what I came to ^-^
This is only the S4 rewrite, and I want to clarify this retains most of the things I mentioned in my original post, but in a better order, and with several additions I took from the comments on that post, which really made this version a 100/10.

(in my post about the first three seasons) I made clear my idea for Christian's character at the end of season 3 (I decided to keep the character in the show, for plot reasons of season 2):
⠀⠀⠀ → During the next season, the construction of this new institution would have finished, and we would have new scholarship recipients in Las Encinas, coming from this new school. This would be part of the "reboot" that the next generation would mean for Elite.
They make us believe that Rebeka (not Ari) is the main victim of this season... but she is not.

S4: the main focus of this season would be on excesses, specifically, on the consequences of drug abuse.
- The story of this season should have followed the consequences of Polo's death for our characters, the weight of the pact of silence regarding Lu, and the non-hypersexualized harmony that the first three seasons had between the characters.
- In addition, from this season several things about the school itself raised in previous seasons seem to have been forgotten just like that:
- Las Encinas is a bilingual school, but we never see another teacher speaking English (French in the English dubbing) again.
- The school competition with the Ivy League prize that Nadia and Lu compete for during the first three seasons is not mentioned again, when it is supposed to be something that is done every single year.
- In addition, from this season almost all the scenes are located almost exclusively inside the school, and we see very little about outdoor scenes, or the private lives of the characters. This is also a serious mistake, since that was what best allowed us to know each other's backgrounds, and create empathy with them.
(in my post about the first three seasons) I made clear my idea for Christian's character at the end of season 3 (I decided to keep the character in the show, for plot reasons of season 2):
- Christian has pleaded guilty to the crime against Polo, partly to protect Lu (with whom in this version he would have had a romantic backstory) but also because he knew he would not bear to have another murder charge on his conscience (in this case, Polo's) after everything that happened with Marina. It was like his way of making himself pay for keeping silent, and at the same time understanding the reasons that Carla had had to protect Polo all that time: for the people you loved, you are willing to do anything; Carla had done that for Polo, and now he was doing it for Lu.
- At the end of the previous season, at graduation, we would very briefly met a new character who happened to be Carla's younger brother. That character (Felipe) will be one of the new main ones of this season and will be a completely modified version of Phillipe's character (who as such does not appear in this version).
- Nadia, Carla, Lucrecia, Cayetana, Ander, and Malick would have successfully graduated the previous season, and would no longer appear in this one. In this version, Omar would not appear anymore either, since he would have gone to the US with Malick, accompanying Nadia and Lucrecia.
- Samuel, Guzmán, Rebeka and Valerio would be the characters repeating the course and staying for one more season. Cayetana would also stay, but as in the original version, she would do so as the new school janitor.
- Guzmán and Mencía become close friends this season, based on how much Guzmán would see Marina in Mencía [For those who didn't know, Mencía was written as a reformulation of Marina's character, adapted to the needs of the new environment with this "new gen"].
- We would find out that they are adopted children of Benjamin.
- The three of them + Felipe would enter the third year of school, that is, a course below the one that Samuel & company are repeating (making Felipe, Patrick and Ari two years younger than them, and Mencía three, since they originally tell us that she is one year ahead).
- Benjamín would have come to Madrid to help his sister-in-law regarding her son's trial, and to try to obtain information about this, by infiltrating the school, since apparently, despite Christian's guilty plea, there does not seem to have been direct evidence implicating him as the killer, beyond the romantic bond he shared with Polo, so police say it's quite possible he'll be released for lack of evidence.
- They tell us that Benjamin asked his three children for "help" to try to find out what really happened with Polo. However, Ari is the only one who accepted his request for help. Patrick and Mencía try to act as if that doesn't happen. Neither of the three mentions that Polo was their cousin.
- Apparently, he had spent all those years attending a sister private school of Las Encinas located in Argentina, called Los Olmos, and when we got to know him properly this season we would discover that it was not his idea to return to live in Madrid, but rather a decision made by his parents. We would later learn that he had actually been expelled from his last school, and that there is something about his past in Argentina that he is trying to keep secret [Remember that he is a new version of what Phillipe was, so he must have something shady behind him].
- Felipe's "dark past" is based on having anger management problems: a video is revealed in which he is seen together with a group of students attacking another boy. There is a heavy complaint against him, and the case is still on trial, and only thanks to the influence of his parents was he able to avoid being arrested.
- Related to the second main plot of this season, which in the future would become the main plot for later seasons:
⠀⠀⠀ → During the next season, the construction of this new institution would have finished, and we would have new scholarship recipients in Las Encinas, coming from this new school. This would be part of the "reboot" that the next generation would mean for Elite.
They make us believe that Rebeka (not Ari) is the main victim of this season... but she is not.
- From the first episode, we begin to have flashforwards at the beginning and at the end of each episode, where we see, to begin with Rebe in a coma in the hospital, intubated, letting us know that apparently and for some reason (which we still don't know at that moment, but you know, we here are from the future so we can already say that this reason was Armando) his life hangs by a thread. One of the flashforewards of the following episodes before the end shows us a scene of the police closing the closure of a funeral bag with a corpse inside, followed by another scene of Cayetana crying, hugging Felipe... apparently, Rebeka is dead...
- In the end, we find out that Rebeka would end up in the hospital because of Armando, after finding out what Mencía was going through all season, and having confronted him to defend her, but ending up severely beaten in the process.
- For the final episode, we finished understanding that the one in a funeral bag was actually Valerio...
- Valerio dies of an overdose, "completing circle" in his drug addiction plot, but not forcing murder into the season.
- HE IS NOT KILLED BY GUZMÁN. Seriously, how did the writers come up with the idea that the character we met SEEKING JUSTICE FOR THE CRIME AGAINST HIS SISTER would become the new criminal face, not facing the consequences and ending his story with him running away to avoid charges?
- Armando is imprisoned: During the last episode we see Mencía crying in the hospital, blaming herself for the possibility of losing Rebe because of her. She finally comes clean; Not with her father, not with Ari, not with Patrick... but with Guzmán. Guzmán is the only person she trusts enough to admit the truth about Armando. Just at that moment, Rebeka wakes up. The rest is simply a competent action on the part of justice.
- So that the public is left with a pleasant taste in the mouth... Armando is murdered in prison? Maybe.
- The fact that Mencía is one year ahead of her siblings tells us that she has a fairly high intellectual level, which apparently at first would mark her as the new best in her class, and they tell us that if so, she could be the new candidate to win the prize for which we saw Nadia and Lu competing in the first season. However, as her plot with Armando develops, her grades begin to drop, which creates some concern in her teachers, but leaves Felipe as the second candidate for the award, being the second highest grade in the class. This does not create a rivalry between them two: Mencía is affected enough by her own problems to care, and also, we don't want to textually rewrite Nadia and Lu's plot with other characters, but to maintain the coherence of the traditions that we were previously told that the school had.
- Being that Carla and Marina had been best friends as girls, we discovered that Felipe actually knew Marina, although he doesn't remember her very well. He did not know Guzmán at all, however we see him approaching him anyway to offer his belated condolences on his sister's death. Perhaps in this same scene we discover that Felipe also knew Polo, and in fact had once been "close" to him: he was his sister's first boyfriend (with whom, in the first season, we were told that she had dating since age twelve). This means that Felipe was less than ten years old when he met Polo. Talking to Guzmán, Feli remembers how he used to enter the living room where Polo and Carla were, making her angry, although Polo always defended him and offered to play video games with him at the end of the afternoon. Felipe looks grieved over his death, even though he clearly doesn't know anything about what really happened to him.
- After everything that happened with Polo the previous season, Cayetana is at a point in her life where she is not capable of being in another relationship. Her plot remains only in the way that she wants to change her future and focus on her design career, perhaps having aftermath of everything that happened with Polo, making her start having anxiety attacks (but treating the subject delicately, with her beginning to see a specialist by Rebe's obligation). We would see how Caye tries to seek support from Valerio, because of "Polo's issue" and the connection that Valerio also had with him, but she is frustrated when she realizes that Valerio seems to have coped with all this issue through the use of drugs. Another possible plot for her would be her attempt to help him (parallels to her original attempt to help Philippe). Cayetana would be an easy second target for Ari, in her attempt to find information about Polo for her father. However, she would not achieve much due to the gap between them throughout the season.
- Felipe begins to become friends with Valerio (note: in my rewrite of season 3, I mention that Yeray and Carla's drug plot I gave up to Valerio, causing him and Carla to start having some kind of sex-romantic tension plot as client/dealer, before Carla decided to end that relationship in good health). Feli doesn't know about his sister's past with Valerio, nor does he care much either. He, however, although occasionally accepts to get high with Valerio, doesn't fall in the same game as Carla and is one of the people, along with Caye, who try to get Valerio out of his addiction.
- As for the Blanco siblings, Mencía's plot would continue as is, without too many changes (ie: Armando). We would see Ari mostly as her father's informant, initially her going through Samuel's cell phone as she started hanging out with him, seeing if she could find any information related to Polo's death. As for Patrick, his plot this season would be basically the opposite of Ari's: the pressure he has on him due to his father, and the guilt Benjamín blames him for not taking care of Mencía the night of his mother's accident. Throughout the season we would see him begin to despair more and more because of this, these being the bases of the approach that he would have with Valerio (where he would begin to try to get away from his problems through drugs), which would end in their future relationship [see below].
- Christian would appear as a recurring character. His scenes are based on visits given to him by Samuel, or even perhaps Guzmán, in prison. His permanence this season would be used to generate tension for the public, especially since (as mentioned at the beginning), the police would end up releasing him, due to lack of evidence against him. Let's say they take his statement as a result of the alcohol he drank at the party. It is his potential (and definitive) release from prison, which causes the arrival of the Benjamins in Madrid, with Benjamin trying to seek justice for the family of his dead wife.
Samuel + Ari
- The love triangle was a pretty dire plot that only increased the public's hatred towards Ari for having separated Nadia and Guzmán, and for being the reason for the loss of all the development that Guzmán and Samu's relationship had had for three seasons.
- Only Samuel remains her love interest, setting up that possible future "fatheson" connection between him and Benjamin.
- Guzmán, for his side, would continue to have a long-distance love relationship with Nadia through video calls, and towards the end of the season, she surprises him with a visit to Madrid.
- At some point near the season finale, Samuel would learn of Ari's and her family's connection to Polo's family, and the real reasons she had reached out to him. He would break up with her right then.
- Ari finally confesses the rest of the story, filling in the puzzle pieces that Samuel was missing. He claims that it hadn't all been fake, not for her: she had really fallen for him.
- As a possible redemption ending for the character, Ari vows not to tell her father about the truth after Polo's death, guided by the love she had come to feel for Samuel.
- I don't want to make changes to their relationship, because what they showed us about them this season was very beautiful and well developed. As a general rule of the season, they would also fall into the category of "no unnecessary sexualization of characters", which would mean getting rid of scenes like the one with the melted chocolate...
- We know that, aside to Rebeka, Mencía has her own plot with Armando, which is what triggers Rebeka's attack that leaves her in the hospital.
- "Replacement" for Ander-Patrick-Omar's love triangle idea, without the drama and toxicity that this trio represented. Ander and Omar are gone. Valerio and Patrick? Both are wild partiers with drug-abusing tendencies. Let's match them up and watch them explode and burn, because that would be very funny.
- Later it could be revealed (or not) that Patrick would have approached Valerio at Ari's request, to try to obtain some information regarding Polo's case, at the insistence of their father.
- Since Felipe is a modified version of Phillipe, it would make sense for Caye to take the same position on wanting to help him despite his past, just as she did with Phillipe. Although this season I have said that I want to focus more on Caye's psyche after Polo's death, and that I don't know if she would be in the best place to want to be in a romantic relationship... In this case, maybe in this version we could reverse the roles of this couple...
- The rapprochement between them would (probably) take place thanks to the fact that they would now both have Valerio as a person in common: they both know each other thanks to him, and apparently they feel sympathy for each other when they meet. This could give us shared scenes of them at school, with Felipe defending Caye from Ari's teasing for her being a janitor (as an example).
- The real rapprochement between the two would occur at the moment when Felipe realizes that Cayetana doesn't seem to be in her best moment. He tries to get closer to her, to help her. We see him also trying to talk to Rebeka, to see if she knows what is happening to Caye, and it is Rebeka who, after several attempts, ends up revealing to him that Cayetana used to be Polo's girlfriend, along with Valerio. This was the explanation that Feli needed.
- That night, Felipe would go to Cayetana's house to try to talk to her, to comfort her. We would see a scene of a brief kiss between them before Cayetana separated from him, crying. Finally Caye had snapped. She would be the person who would finally break the pact of silence: she would reveal to Felipe that she knew who had killed Polo, and that it had not been Christian. The scene would end at that moment, tacitly implying that she would have revealed the whole truth to Felipe, although making him swear that he must not tell anyone.
- This confession would be what Cayetana needed to do so as not to fall into madness, so as not to continue feeling guilty. After that, her anxiety attacks would apparently start to subside, little by little. We would see her less nervous, although several times she would go to Felipe repeating that he must not tell anyone the truth, fearing what others could do if they found out that she had broken the silent pact.
- By the season finale, she would finally face Felipe, and the question of "What is this we have?". She apologizes to him, but tells him that it wouldn't be fair to let whatever they had go any further if she wouldn't end up being fully there for him. She was in no condition to have another relationship. Not after Polo... (and for the final ending of the last episode... not after Valerio). He gets it. They both end up on good terms, hugging each other. They are both crying over Valerio's death (this would be the flashforeward scene we would have seen in the first episodes).
- It's reveal that he feels guilty for getting away from everyone, especially because of what he has just discovered about Mencía. Her “brotherly instinct” tells him that he must stay to protect her, but in the end they show us a scene of both saying goodbye to each other in peace, and Mencía crying, thanking him for having put Armando in jail.
- There would be a farewell scene between him and Samuel, closing their plot as "brothers".
So, that's it! My second take on a season 4 rewrite. Those who read my original post will have noticed that several things were literally a copy and paste of the original post. But I feel that it is the additions that I made thanks to the comments on that post that really end up giving the seasoning to this version ^-^

I (26F) have dated my boyfriend (29M) for a while. Now that I have some hindsight on our 5-year relationship, I'm not really sure if our relationship is normal or one I want to be in. I guess you could say I've had a very tumultuous life full of tragedy and drama and nonsense, so I'm sure I much more tolerable of negative or unusual circumstances than your average person, probably to my detriment. In any case, I don't really have anyone I'd be comfortable talking to about this in my regular life. My family is too ensnarled in their own drama and ulterior motives concerning me, but mostly themselves, to talk to. My friends are not quite close enough that I feel like I'd be able to talk about my relationship with them, so I wonder if I've been smart about this.
I can reasonably say now, that overall my boyfriend is a sweet, but somewhat weak person. He's my friend in addition to my partner, and he is very kind and intelligent. He tries hard to please everyone, but now I can't help but feel like it might be at my expense. For example, the second year into our relationship, I suggested a road trip idea with some specific spots we would stop at and explore as a way to decompress from my very stressful job. After we generally agreed we'd do it, his family decided they liked the idea, and then decided to do this same trip. He went with them, and invited me, as though we hadn't discussed it. He later apologized and I kind of let it slide, even though it blindsided me. Fine. Our relationship was fine more or less after this. In general, even now, I find most of his family quite weird.
At the beginning, no one but his parents would say hello to me at his home even if I said something first, and I was largely ignored, even when I tried to speak with them. I was pretty confused when I received generous gifts from his family, so I just assumed the family was maybe a bit eccentric, but didn't hate me. But now that we're so far along in dating, and the behavior is kind of the same. They'll say hello to me now, but it feels like I'm more a piece of furniture than person at his house, and no one really talks to me directly.
Another thing that had gnawed at me, whether it's right or not, is my birthday a year ago. He and I made a trip that combined both his relative's wedding and my birthday. The trip turned out to be him ditching me at events with his family where I didn't know anyone and acting suddenly distant. He then booked a bunch of rigorous nature activities and sports that I absolutely hated but went along with because he wanted to do them. Come my birthday, it turned out that he didn't get me even a card, and he flat out told me he hadn't planned a thing, but that he loved me. I ended up having to pick a restaurant for my own birthday dinner in a city I had never visited before (but he had lived in for several months) which he paid for. I was so shocked that I had no idea how to respond. Previously he had been so diligent and generous with birthdays and holidays, that I could barely even recognize the person. We had always planned each others birthdays. For better or worse, I sort of... moved on from this even though he was pretty defensive whenever I brought the topic up.
Come end of that summer, I was no longer able to tolerate my toxic home life, something my friends and he both agreed was a terrible situation. I moved out to my previous college town with roommates, and he insisted over and over again that I let him help me pay for a studio for me to live in without roommates so that I would be able to finally have some peace. I turned him down a lot on this, but in the end accepted. In the end it's definitely given me an escape from my family, but prior to this, he had promised we would get an apartment together. I've spent the better part of a year mostly alone in this place that he helps me with, but it's also meant that I'm always alone, taking care of the place myself, and we both end up having to drive 80+ miles to see each other if we want to, which usually means about once a week. Following this, he helped me immensely in my whole project to get into grad school, and served as a kind of on-demand tutor for me as I switched career paths. Essentially the whole relationship seems like a bag of mixed messages like when he completely ignored my roommates who said hello to him, or when he offered to have me come live with his family when my mom tried to kick me out. Or last week for example, when he told me his grandfather died, but that his family was not going to bother traveling until the funeral in several months. It's quite bizarre to me to be honest.
There's just so much happening in my life and with my relationship, that I can't really understand what I should do. I feel so conflicted, and really alone to be honest. I guess what I'm really looking to find out is how to assess a relationship and if it's worth is. I don't know if the past should have a statute of limitations for a lot of this stuff, or if I should just now ignore that, and think of it differently. Overall, I've had a lot of happy memories, and get along well with this person, but there's just a lot that has happened to consistently make me wonder about our relationship. I went to church today thinking the only friend I had there would talk with me. I sat near her in the church but she didn't talk to me. After the mass ended, I could sense that she didn't want to and I didn't try cause she was busy talking with someone else in the catechism classes. I hate church. I told her that I'm going back home the next minute and I did. She didn't seem happy I was walking with them. I honestly don't know why. I wish she'd tell me if it's something I did. Maybe it's because I didn't attend her grandmother's funeral. A few months ago, we were best friends and I'm not sure what we are now.

I (24m) started seeing this girl (22f) about 5 months ago after we matched on hinge. We have been going on dinner dates, and hooking up/ she sleeps over about once a week for 5 months. We have a glass of wine and exchange in small talk/ banter before hooking up. It was more like a friends with benefits type situation even though neither of us has previously brought up exclusivity or defined the relationship.
This all changed a month ago when her dad died. She had to travel back home and I felt really bad and messaged her a lot during the funeral weeks. She became more clingy and texted me more hearts, and saying how much she misses me. When she came back, we went on dates and she even invited me to a party where I met her friends. She's a sweet girl but I could tell she was getting attached. Yesterday, I asked her what she was looking for and after she said "i dont know", I said that I am not ready to commit to a relationship or exclusivity right now in my life. This is because I am very focused on my school, finally feel mentally healthy after a toxic past relationship, and am enjoying my free time and don't want to commit because she will be moving back far away for the summer. I dont know if im doing the right thing.
After our talk she cried. She asked if she scared me away, and I ensured her I enjoy spending time with her and want to see her again, but wanted to be honest about my intentions. She understood and we are cool still and text still. She asked for my instagram to follow me. I am very nervous and this triggered anxiety. This is because my instagram is super private after my last toxic girlfriend, stalked and harassed me on instagram and I almost had to get a restraining order for it. That was 2 years ago and Im finally healed from that but feel hesitant to share my IG information. Any advice on what to do or what to say?

Hello all, I'm back agin for more advice, this time on socialization for my adolescent Great Dane puppy. Moose just turned 9mos old at the end of May and I have only had him since he was 6mos old. When we first got him, I found him in a rehoming group and upon talking to the woman who had him she mentioned she had a family member pass away and was unable to care for him. A couple of red flags when I picked him up. He was underweight, mainly due to a not so great feed, though she says it was because he 'ran it all off' and when she handed me his vaccination reports, from a vet 3 hours away in Alabama, she let it be know that he did not have a rabies shot...at 6 months old.
So we bring him home, we isolate him from my other pets, just in case, and I immediately call the vet. Get him an appointment for the next day and get him his rabies, bordatella, flea and tick, and Heartguard. At the vet, he nervously growled at he vet and his tech when they came into the room, and hid in the corner. I did my best to not let him hide behind me, but by the end of the visit, he took a treat the tech had thrown his direction and was fine. He didn't growl at the receptionist or even the dog that ran up to him, which I inserted myself in between the two before he cold make it over there.
Though now that I am trying to work on socializing him more, it appears he is a very nervous and unconfident dog. He barks when the door to our house opens, not the doorbell, but for example if I return home from work, and he is in the living room with my mom, the moment he hears the door its barking, not aggressive barking bt more alert style barking. He will walk p to the baby gate we have up and look at you, bark a few times, then wag his tail.
We've taken him outside a few cafes, and haven't let anyone touch him, but it is very wishy washy, sometimes people will walk by and he will do nothing, other times he will bark, and low growl while baking up. But when I have taken him to Pet friendly stores, there was no growling at other people or children except once when a child was very loud. He even saw a woman carrying her small dog and he simply looked at them pass by, it wasn't until the woman backed up and started talking to my dog that he growled, only once, and then stopped.
We even had our coworker, Susan, come and help watch him for a day while my mother, and I had to attend a funeral a little ways away, and she told us he was a peach for her, no growling, or barking, just very calm.
I'm just super frustrated, I personally have never taken him to a dog park, or anything, and it feels like every time I try to socialize him, I look like a bad dog owner. most people see him and understand he is a puppy and is nervous but I want to help my dog be more confident and socialized so I can do things like sit outside in cafe's and take him to PetSmart etc. without having to worry about him reacting negatively to other people. I don't let people pet him or anything, but if they have questions I let them talk to me, so he gets used to people being around etc.
I watch a lot of dog shows, which usually have barking and other people talking, on the TV while he's in the room, and he never reacts to that so is that a good sign? any tips/ ideas would be greatly appreciated. We have a dog park in the area with an agility course I Want to take him too(hopefully for his confidence), when the park is empty but every time I go by there, there are always other dogs so we don't stop. Does this sound like reactivity based on fear and unconfidence or is there something else? If it is something else what do you think it is, and is it too late for my adolescent dog? Socialization tips are welcome

So we bring him home, we isolate him from my other pets, just in case, and I immediately call the vet. Get him an appointment for the next day and get him his rabies, bordatella, flea and tick, and Heartguard. At the vet, he nervously growled at he vet and his tech when they came into the room, and hid in the corner. I did my best to not let him hide behind me, but by the end of the visit, he took a treat the tech had thrown his direction and was fine. He didn't growl at the receptionist or even the dog that ran up to him, which I inserted myself in between the two before he cold make it over there.
Though now that I am trying to work on socializing him more, it appears he is a very nervous and unconfident dog. He barks when the door to our house opens, not the doorbell, but for example if I return home from work, and he is in the living room with my mom, the moment he hears the door its barking, not aggressive barking bt more alert style barking. He will walk p to the baby gate we have up and look at you, bark a few times, then wag his tail.
We've taken him outside a few cafes, and haven't let anyone touch him, but it is very wishy washy, sometimes people will walk by and he will do nothing, other times he will bark, and low growl while baking up. But when I have taken him to Pet friendly stores, there was no growling at other people or children except once when a child was very loud. He even saw a woman carrying her small dog and he simply looked at them pass by, it wasn't until the woman backed up and started talking to my dog that he growled, only once, and then stopped.

Alright, I don't have much time, I am currently hiding in a cramped-up closet. I can hear it moving outside my room. You're most likely wondering how I got here, or why I don't have time. Well here is my story. One sunny California day, I was sitting on my lumpy couch with a new phone I had just bought. It had all the important apps I would spend most of my days on (Youtube, Tiktok, etc.) But I was too lazy to insert a SIM card into my phone. I was checking some Youtube, then over to TikTok repeat like what I always do. Eventually, I decided to put the SIM card into my phone so I can add my parents' numbers and my friends as well. I glance over to the counter where I had left the SIM and lazily get up from the couch as its leather detaches from my skin.
It's only a few steps from the couch but for some reason, it felt longer, maybe it was my laziness or tiredness but it felt as if you were walking up a never-ending staircase. Eventually, I reached the marble counter, but instead of the SIM card being there, there was nothing! "Must have misplaced it?" I thought, trying to come up with a reason. I closed my eyes for a long blink before jogging over to my closet, things always got lost in there. For some reason though, I couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched.
As I was miles deep into the pile of clothes I heard, a few steps away from me *BUZZZZ* The very distinct sound of my phone ringing "Must be my imagination" I murmured. My entire body was covered by this point. Then I hear the same sound again, then again, then again. Eventually, I get fed up with the ringing and burst out of the sea of clothes. And trudge over to my still-ringing phone.
"19 Missed Calls" it reads. "Odd" I blurted out loudly. I pick up my phone with a sense of urgency. *BUZZZZ* Another call rings in. I've seen enough horror movies to know to not pick up the phone. *RING* It goes, I had got a text, "Let me in!" It read. I looked at my phone in fear, I have no idea why, but still, it sent chills down my spine. Just then an Amber Alert set off in my phone "Masked killer seems to be stalking around (they said my neighbourhood)" it read. I almost screamed. But I managed to stay calm and ran into my bedroom.

I (24m) started seeing this girl (22f) about 5 months ago after we matched on hinge. We have been going on dinner dates, and hooking up/ she sleeps over about once a week for 5 months. We have a glass of wine and exchange in small talk/ banter before hooking up. It was more like a friends with benefits type situation even though neither of us has previously brought up exclusivity or defined the relationship.

This is because I am very focused on my school, finally feel mentally healthy after a toxic past relationship, and am enjoying my free time and don't want to commit because she will be moving back far away for the summer.
